Do not forget they are Chinese devs and some are actually from Mihayo(Genshin). You guys have no ideal about the overall gaming environment in China and the evils being sealed.
Im sorry, but is there any actual evidences that they have Mihoyo employees or any AAA employees in the team? As you guys well aware the words Helius said cant be trusted, so is there any proof that theres actually said folks in the team? And even if theres one, are you sure it also not outsources staff aka not official staff? Heck I can just work as cleaner at there and claims Im Mihoyo or Tencent or whatever employee since that technically true.

As far as I recall in this thread, after all the name dropping, some of the guys did a background check and the only solid facts they got is that PH originated as a group of chinese modders/translators for Illusion games.

so a guy got poached from steam, now a mihoyo involve ? any actual proof of evidence ?
Oh it gets worse than that. IIRC they had an animator that worked on Far Cry 6, someone that worked on Assassins Creed, Helius used to work at Google *and* Bethesda, xHamster (lol) were going to fund the game... and so on.

Helius just likes dropping big names because he thinks it sounds impressive and makes this project look more legitimate by association.

Instead of making any improvement on game content, they will not stop putting effort on anti piracy or hiding offline attributes from Cheat Engine. I will not be surprised if somday they ask for your cellphone number to login. And of course, how could they forget the paid gacha button (see the harem mode and "pre-released" dlcs). Ironically, I remember they have declaimed so many times that they are not making this game for money.

The game was impressive at the beginning and I paid ~$40 for it. It probably worth $20 on steam for gallery itself but I suppose it will never be finished or finally released in unfinished form.

Be aware of chinese games. No racism. I am Chinese.
Hmm gacha originates from Japan, Korean games are P2W as fuck and then Chinese adds in the "silence all criticism". Not sure who is really the source of this evil but no worries western devs are learning fast and audience gets used to it as well.

Five years ago people would be like "Gacha ? Would never play that shit" than Genshin happened and now "Gacha ain't that bad". P2W? In past - "No P2W in my game period." Now? "Well as long it is not x it is fine." "It is not P2W because Y is real P2W"

Also remember that as game enters gacha territory it becomes all about whales. A whale can be worth 1000 players and whales will not care about grind and content locked behind paywalls because they can just swipe their way through. So unfortunately our little contributions aren't worth more than the premium currency/stuff you get for it.

Helius just likes dropping big names because he thinks it sounds impressive and makes this project look more legitimate by association.
100% this, It's perfect lie as none can disprove it and it works as people keep fueling the rumor

Helius does make some disprovable claims, it just doesn't matter too much since there's only really a few people willing to disprove it, and they can't really post that anywhere except this site.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Seems hard enough to disprove. Except most of Cyberpunk 2077's vehicles were designed by a single dude.

You can even And notably he doesn't do too many commissions, especially not for some sketchy random porn game that won't even use the vehicles made.

Would Helius have known this when bull shitting? Naw, he just saw an opportunity to jump in. Will most people dig in to find this out? Also naw. But you can prove his stuff false with enough time, effort, and stubbornness.

Well Helius said the designer is from 2077 team, rather that it is one of people that designed 2077 cars.
Also the usual stuff, most people won't admit that they are fans of some monster sex porn game.

Don't forget his claim that someone was investing millions of USD into the game, or that they had to include the multiplayer bullshit because it was a requirement from the CEO of a big Japanese corporation that was lending them his mocap studio.

It's all bullshit. Helius will say or do anything to keep the Patreon money going. Even this update was likely a Hail Mary to shore up support because he had begun to realize the paypigs were getting too restless, so he cobbled together the few bits and pieces of old content he had laying around from who knows when and called it an update.

The DRM was because "THE BIG INVESTORS" demanded it (back when they were actually legit, it was rumored to be DLSite, turns out it was fucking no one), the online mode was because "THE BIG INVESTORS" demanded it
But the big investors dont even exist

Used to be - " A roguelike strategy game featuring squad tactics and deck building... " . Turned out to be " HD hentai gif-loops group masturbation lobby ".
This line right here actually struck a cord with me. After all this time, I actually forgot that it originally was supposed to be a strategy game. That was the entire reason I backed it a couple of years ago, on top of the animation quality (at the time).

One of my consistent complaints with most H-games tends to be how they aren't really fun as "games" at the end of the day, so I was really looking forward to another one with interesting gameplay. It makes me sad to check back every few months and see the project seemingly getting worse, but it is what it is :(

It was supposed to be an android pimping simulator before the strategy game. Then there was another game before original Fallen Doll I know nothing about. That's three or four reboots and not a single project actually finished, but they're totally 100% for real this time so remember to keep paying.

Most likely nuh, they still have too many simps who will pay monthly for nothing ; even if there is no reason to do it, they still get the steam build if they stop paying. And even those who write angry annoyed paragraphs on their patreon end up with " I dropped my subscription to minimum". And who knows how many people have their monthly setup and just forgot about it.

Btw the servers are apparently still down for "maintenance", going into second day now, who could've expected this.

Not only that but they have a constant influx of new subs from Patreon and Steam (where users are redirected to their Patreon to pay for beta access).

Since the devs control all information, including user posts, on both platforms they're pretty much set so long as they don't actually start Early Access. At that point they won't be able to control reviews on Steam.

Update from Pasix:
So i'll start off by noting I haven't been able to poke Helius today, so my announcement might not get off as strong as I would have preferred. That said, let's go.

I've had a most excellent chat with Helius a couple days ago and through it we set some new changes moving forward.

- Miya and I, together with the team manager overlooking the devs, have a new dedicated channel to and fro Helius which will act as our hotline to him. The intention is much faster response time and clearer understanding of what's happening in the backend. Since Miya's timezone and timeschedule near-perfectly weaves into mine, we should have covered most of every day.
- I've picked a bit at Helius' roles within the project; he's someone who pretty much burdens everything on himself and quickly swoops in to fix other people's mistakes. This means that he's both overburdening himself, and is pretty much everywhere at the same time, explaining his chaotic and erratic behaviour. I'll be looking to continue picking this apart and helping him reorganise hierarchy and structure as to make him more available without detracting from quality.
- We'll be looking at reorganising the dev logs, both on Patreon and here, to also accompany more of the failures encountered in the project and to offer the transparency we've all been fighting for for so long. The intention is to start talking about what's happening, even if it's not finished, which I am certain most of you are also interested in.

Now for something most of you won't like; online is not going to go. It's here to stay and it will stay.

BUT

And this is the point where I really dislike not having been able to chat with Helius today:

Helius has - a while back, already - redecided on splitting a SFW campaign from harem mode, in favour of your apprehension to it. We've been shown some concept videos, and we're looking at a NSFW campaign again, possibly integrated with harem mode.
Sadly, as said, I do not have more details on this just yet, and Helius is still planning this out, so I will ask you to not take this as true hard cold fact just yet, until Helius himself says something about it.

Additionally to this, I've vouched for something of a roadmap of sorts so everyone knows more clearly what's up and what's going to be done. Helius had an understandable hesistance because he could not guarantee any dates on it, so we'll most likely conduct a "What's being made now, what's going to happen next, etc" kind of scheme.

Note for all of these changes, we'll most likely only start seeing active change and active usage after the servers run stable and most of the bugs have been squashed. As of right now, Helius and co is still working around the clock fixing bugs left and right.

Lastly, I've suggested to restart and take over polls, as to again give you folks a chance to make your voices heard. We've until now made use of
suggestions
to get ideas across to Helius, but we've never been able to give any feedback on the decisions made from those. I hope that polls will be able to give you that feedback in some sense, whilst also being given options.

How I will conduct these, I am not entirely certain yet, I will discuss this as it comes. That said, if you like that idea, please leave me a thumbs up on this message, so I have some clue what you folks think. If you disagree, give it a thumbs down.

Thanks for your continued patience, folks.

Full on damage control mode and now campaign is back... again? Apparently they have concept art so were they lying about stopping work on it, or are they lying now about having been working on it?

Seems like the usual BS and at this point I presume even the mods are just being suckered with concept art and mockups based on the "concept videos" comment. Wonder if it will work on the usual Patreon superfan types.
