Devs removed some stuff, barely added anything. Denuvo anti-piracy was implemented

Short-ish version:

"alpha" game was ok. Planned re-release in like... June. Delays, they blame Steam for everything. Game comes out in...September, was it? And it's a shit show of bugs but promising. Still, they completely lied on the readyness of the project.

So, badly running beta with a grind and always online system. Wasn't great but the planned timeline was promising and the grind wasn't too bad. Major issues got fixed in 1 week. Game was looking nice enough.

Plan was: 3 betas, 3 months each. (I think... forgot. Know why I can't check? They silently deleted the plan. Yup.)
Plan gets completely ignored. PH keeps posting artwork without saying a thing. "GAME IS BEING REBUILT" is the official reason. Bunch of useless jargon spinkled around.

Fast forward 1 year, second beta gets released.
It's the same shit but worse. I mean sure maybe they rewrote some background code but basically all that we can see is 1 new character 1 new map some new poses and that's it. None of the basic issues have been solved.
It's so rushed and barebones even the DLSS options aren't written properly. (it's "high - low" which makes no sense as DLSS has no high-low settings. It's quality or performance.)

Also, surprise? Second beta works even worse than first beta. Why? Because their always online system is bugged. Two weeks to fix it. Grind feels like 10x. PH keeps being silent or unreliable. Staff is openly discrediting him and he just shuts up, nothing gets fixed nor adressed.

At this point I dropped it. Didn't give them a single cent since the first beta launch though, the direction was clear.


Now, some recent quotes from Staff announcements, for which I feel genuinely sorry for. The gist of these is: PH is single handedly ruining this game and the Staff is just trying to keep shit together. Nobody knows the inner workings. It could be a 1 man coding job with a bunch of artists hired. We don't know. Remember the expensive mocap studio? Well I do and the animations are something a rookie could pull off in Blender. So where did that go, idk.

If your trust in staff is gone, for whatever reason, I wish to offer my sincerest apologies, and I hope that still means something to you. We strive to do better.

Helius and co is working on applying fixes that should improve stability overtime. Based on my guess, there's no guarantee for no downtime

I truly understand this radio silence is debilitating and frustrating. You've again been promised something so close to realisation and it has not come. I'm afraid at this stage, staff and I know as much as you do, and we're just waiting as well.

when is the release happening? Truth be told. I don't know. Staff's been making an active effort to poke and prod Helius to give us info, but Helius is going day and night working on this and this also means he’s not really open for communication. A bad thing, agreed, but it is how it is.

It turns out Helius is now also in an active flood area which he has shown conclusive proof for. Sharing this however would doxx him so I will not.

(PH posted so much bullshit they asked to prove he was really in a flood. That's how much he annoyed everyone.)

I find it infuriatingly ironic that the quality of the animations dropped significantly starting EXACTLY when they announced the mocap studio shittery. (afaik they announced it after 0.34, and in the next 0.49 build the new animations were MUCH worse than the old ones, by a gigantic margin)

Download 0.3.4 for gallery mode or 0.4.9 for harem mode. There aren't any significant differences between them, they are both animation viewers. Newer versions exist but they are not likely to be cracked because it is a denuvo protected online game now.

On the note of "x amount of people wishlisted this game," that's always been a weird metric to measure interest to me.
How many of those people wishlisted the game expecting it to be what it's fucking advertised to be on the Steam page? If they saw what it's become now, and how development has shifted, would they still have it wishlisted?
Helius promised cake, people wishlisted for cake, and all we've gotten so far is an unflushable turd stinking up the house.

I wishlist games just to see when they go on sale. The average person who just goes woah dude cool porn game isn't actively following development, and even if they tried to there's outdated and misleading information all over the place, like earlier in the thread when some guy on the discord got chewed out for asking why he didn't get an original Fallen Doll key when it was still being advertised on Patreon.
