I can't believe over 15,000 people are still supporting this. They are clearly milking it as long as possible before abandoning it, I've seen this before.

No one is going to bother trying. It took a year to get a barely functional "update" that just added more ways to fleece money from people. Unless you want to drop Empress 500 bucks to crack for shits and giggles, there is zero interest in this game.

I just wanted a normal porn game not a social fap session. It's annoying I have to wait and hope this game gets cracked just so I can play it alone even though I was a Clerk tier patron and own the official version of the game. It's also disappointing to see that this new build is all they managed in over a year without any updates. I'm glad I dropped no more than $30 into this game, I get that it is a beta and everything, but the way Helius treats patrons and implements things as he wishes regardless of patron opinions shows me this isn't a developer that deserves support going forward. Hopefully many of the other active supporters start seeing this as well, and hopefully those that are considering supporting somehow get a glimpse of just how unprofessional Helius is and only does what rakes in most money.

As a newcomer to this game the demo version would have made me go support on Patreon, but thank goodness for this community for warning + saving me and I hope others from this disappointment. Horrible dev history everywhere you look.
That being said, are there really good similar 3D games for 2023?
I supported Home Together on Patreon (which is bleh, glorified dressup sim but graphics are great)

If you want to see an ambitious 3D game done right, look no further than Wildlife. Not only is the current sandbox gameplay promising, but they did an engine swap from UE4 to 5 very recently that was seamless too and the game still looks gorgeous.
Oh I forgot to mention the most important thing. They're very transparent about the development of the game and I don't think they've missed a deadline yet. Can't remember any controversy surrounding them either.
Do not forget they are Chinese devs and some are actually from Mihayo(Genshin). You guys have no ideal about the overall gaming environment in China and the evils being sealed.
Instead of making any improvement on game content, they will not stop putting effort on anti piracy or hiding offline attributes from Cheat Engine. I will not be surprised if somday they ask for your cellphone number to login. And of course, how could they forget the paid gacha button (see the harem mode and "pre-released" dlcs). Ironically, I remember they have declaimed so many times that they are not making this game for money.
The game was impressive at the beginning and I paid ~$40 for it. It probably worth $20 on steam for gallery itself but I suppose it will never be finished or finally released in unfinished form.
Be aware of chinese games. No racism. I am Chinese.

Im sorry, but is there any actual evidences that they have Mihoyo employees or any AAA employees in the team? As you guys well aware the words Helius said cant be trusted, so is there any proof that theres actually said folks in the team? And even if theres one, are you sure it also not outsources staff aka not official staff? Heck I can just work as cleaner at there and claims Im Mihoyo or Tencent or whatever employee since that technically true.

As far as I recall in this thread, after all the name dropping, some of the guys did a background check and the only solid facts they got is that PH originated as a group of chinese modders/translators for Illusion games.
Oh it gets worse than that. IIRC they had an animator that worked on Far Cry 6, someone that worked on Assassins Creed, Helius used to work at Google *and* Bethesda, xHamster (lol) were going to fund the game... and so on.
Helius just likes dropping big names because he thinks it sounds impressive and makes this project look more legitimate by association.
