there is no problem with a "glorified gallery viewer". I don't understand guys yelling scam at this game and Wild Life for this. Animations are well-made and who the fuck wants to play a porn game for "the plot"?

There absolutely is a problem with it being a glorified gallery viewer. The game was and is still crowdfunded. It was advertised as an actual game, with actual gameplay and people paid their money to fund the promised game. The gallery was supposed to be a small part of the game, not the entire package. Hell, the first thing you see when clicking on the Steam page is a description of the promised gameplay from years ago. The same gameplay that they have cancelled and uncancelled multiple times now.

The game they gave us is in no way what people funded. No one gave them money to make a mobile gacha multiplayer scene viewer, that's just what they decided to do on their own after getting the money from telling everyone they were funding a different game.

The plot helps but it's not necessary, yes.
I would've paid for a glorified gallery viewer, hell I paid for subverse so that's pretty close (and it wasn't the plot that sold it for me, although it helped) and other games I've tried from this website, but this isn't that unfortunately. The multiplayer gacha aspect, research passes and all that crap that's just gamifying the unlocking of content (instead of a plot or gameplay loop for example) and trying to squeeze some more money with artificial restrictions, it's just not a welcome addition to the gallery viewer imo, particularly because it's in the way of the actual content.
The dev's general attitude doesn't help either tbh. Can't really feel much sympathy after the bait&switch pulled here.

Story Mode will be turn based, like OG pokemon or mobile strategy games.

Hopefully "Dormitory Mode" is the new name for Gallery Mode.
As well hopefully VR can be fixed FINALLY.
(I don't even have VR but this game advertises it's a VR game when it's not anymore)

It was always going to be turn-based. Before it all turned the Gacha way, the initial concept was to make a Gears Tactics-like with "defeat" scenes.

My guess is that they wasn't lying about planning to quit making porn games and turn to mobile platform, otherwise they can just sit tight and keep milking their patrons effortlessly instead of making moves so aggressively. All this GAAS gimmick could be some sort of training to prepare the crew for their next project, and this may or may not be influenced by the "big investor" they repetitively mentioned.

Even before the gacha shit Helius was making questionable choices. OL is like the third iteration of the Fallen Doll concept over several years and at no point has he ever had a solid idea of what the game is actually supposed to be.

This is how it should be, or I have some kind of problem: the character’s body seems to consist of separate parts - I see stripes on the legs, arms, torso, neck, even the vulva, they stand out in some other yellow color, and it’s like inserted separately (most likely technically it is, but shouldn't it blend in with the rest of the body?

Dormitory Mode , VR Mode and Story Mode

At the rate it took them to complete the 3 prior updates, we're looking at an additional 2 years.
Let's just hope Dormitory Mode is the new name for Gallery, so I can shut the fuck up about it.

As well in the next update(0.8.0), it looks like they're either removing the Sanity system(the system that penalizes you if you overplay) completely or just removing it to rework it.

Maybe the smear of "scammer" is unjust, because something is being produced.

Honestly the only reason they are actually releasing this is because they were losing money and their discord mods left in a group.
He was seeing his money go down and said okay... Better feed the peasants.
He is still a scammer to a lot of people. So the smear is still justified.
