"Sexualy exploited"? The developers are forcing you into prostitution or something?Imagine people don't want to be sexualy exploited.
I have made it a rule to not pay for porn. When they put an actual game behind it I will consider paying for it.
And I am also pretty sure that if they actually turn this into a different game than what has been originally promised it won't go over well for those who have already paid for it.
And eventually it comes down to them trying to sell you something you can get for free from other people.
They announced the plan on their Patreon two months ago and instead of witnessing drop in support they reached 15k patrons...And I am also pretty sure that if they actually turn this into a different game than what has been originally promised it won't go over well for those who have already paid for it.
1. I wasn't talking about the ones getting fucked I was talking about the ones paying.Lucky for you, this is a video game and the characters are not real. No one was sexually exploited.
It will still be a pornography game.
It's no different than kickstarer and Indiegogo. Most people understand they are buying into the development of something and things change in the lifecycle of development. A pandemic hit, they lost their motion capture team, and got an offer from another company in exchange for multiplayer development. That provided a solution of free DRM and free motion capture work.
Unless people are going to go out of their way to emulate a multiplayer server, which would include simulating AI to act in place of the other player characters, then the future multiplayer content wont be available for free, outside of tube sites. Sure, there are people that understand programming well enough to build an emulator. Funog1 made very clear that he won't release one on here and I'm glad he won't be doing so. This is an extremely niche project so it extremely unlikely to have an open source emulator team like Ultima Online, EverQuest, or other MMOs.
And how does that say that the old Patreons are happy with the development? They already paid, they are committed and also their opinion doesn't matter anymore.They announced the plan on their Patreon two months ago and instead of witnessing drop in support they reached 15k patrons...
That's the interesting part, the devs never actually said anything about the game being single player only.And how does that say that the old Patreons are happy with the development? They already paid, they are committed and also their opinion doesn't matter anymore.
They also conveniently forgot to mention that 1/3 through development they'd make all future content exclusive to multiplayer and that people that wanted a complete singleplayer experience can go suck the metaphorical dick. I also like how they've changed the reason why they're doing it so many times, going from "It's because of the dude that owns the mocap studio wants MP (and you peasants don't matter)" to "It's because of piracy" to "lol, not our problem".That's the interesting part, the devs never actually said about the game being single player only.
their campaign is still single player and that didnt change.They also conveniently forgot to mention that 1/3 through development they'd make all future content exclusive to multiplayer and that people that wanted a complete singleplayer experience can go suck the metaphorical dick. What's really tragic is that the MP mode is just a glorified gallery viewer, so any hope of continuity throughout the SP campaign (and all that would allow them to do - slow corruption, pregnancy, stats, etc.) is now gone and you're left with an animation viewer. I was perfectly willing to support and pay for a premium singleplayer experience, but have no interest whatsoever in this scam.
Need I point out that besides some vague promises they've yet to show any actual content for the SP?
This is basically their third strike in a row - it's obvious the devs are liars and not to be trusted.
Can't wait until they announce the introduction of premium currency into the game, because let's be honest, why else would there be a system in place to unlock content by getting "likes" from other users? Why wait until you've gotten 400 likes to unlock that new pretty character or costume when you can just pay $9.99 for 500 likes and save yourself the endless grind?
The reasons don't really conflict and instead are more or less additive. It's apparent that Yostar gave them the ideas. Piracy, more specifically the auto cracker someone posted here could be the last straw why they decided to abandon the ship and turn the entire project into multiplayer. Can't really blame them although it really, really sucks.They also conveniently forgot to mention that 1/3 through development they'd make all future content exclusive to multiplayer and that people that wanted a complete singleplayer experience can go suck the metaphorical dick. lol you can scroll back a few pages and fight with the dudes saying that only a douche needs story and campaign...personally i couldn't care less about it too. A sex viewer is just how this needs to be and nothing more, you are aware that the more resources they put into so called "gameplay" the less steamy stuff we get right?What's really tragic is that the MP mode is just a glorified gallery viewer, so any hope of continuity throughout the SP campaign (and all that would allow them to do - slow corruption, pregnancy, stats, etc.) is now gone and you're left with an animation viewer. From their dev diaries they ain't making the multiplayer model p2p based to allow for no brain hacking and instead plan to run it like a proper online mp game like pubg and fallout 76, that's why I was certain Yostar was involved. Hope they don't apply Yostar's gacha model...It would've been pirated regardless so I don't see why this one instance made them dramatically shift the game's direction from SP to MP? Maybe they wanted it to be MP from the start but probably couldn't get the initial patreon cash if they'd marketed that way and so this case served as a convenient excuse. Speculation on my part.
If i remember correctly the devs specifically warned against tuning up SS above default.Thanks -Nynx- & jiyuunin for sharing VR version and crack. It runs absolute dogshit on a 3060ti at high settings (Oculus Quest 2 rendering at 1.2SS). Runs about 40fps on medium (default 0.4 SS and SSAO) and about 50 fps on low settings. There are also micro-stutter in all animations so I tried running this without SteamVR (using OpenComposite) and it ran a bit better (locked at 45 fps max). with 0.7 SS it ran about 40 fps on medium and 45 fps on low settings. It's a pretty looking sex simulator but still not enjoyable in VR. Micro-stutter happens when dragging/rotating the camera around or physics kicks in (like when tits bounce). I hoped they would optimize it better for VR but still can't call it playable.
It may not be the only reason to be here but, matter of fact, it is the main reason and therefore is THE purpose of the site.To be fair, that isn't the purpose of this site. I mean sure, many people use it that way, but its not the only reason to be here.
I mean sure, good to know..but it hardly changes my point. I guess if I said it wasn't the site's ONLY purpose then this wouldn't have been necessary. Semantics. I was simply responding to someone who was generalizing and saying that this site is for people who are here specifically to avoid paying. Hard stop. Which is objectively false, as plenty of people here are here for other reasons.It may not be the only reason to be here but, matter of fact, it is the main reason and therefore is THE purpose of the site.
You may not know the story of F95 (both of the internet handle and this site) but long story short, F95 was a (in)famous uploader on torrent aggregators who eventually created their own site to consolidate his uploads and create a community. The rest is history.
And a simple glance at the forum's "focused" structure tells you:
Surely nowadays F95 is so big that it is used for many other purposes as well, and one thing that could also be argued is that the forums help developers in the long run, with lots of exposition they get for their games due to the sheer volume of people that visit the site... (then again, this is a contentious and complex topic which is not relevant here).
- There are dedicated uploader (pending application) staff with clear identification, for obvious purposes;
- There is a list of approved file hosts to be used, and the need for such a list requires no further explanation;
- The "About Us" describes: "F95zone is an adult community where you can find tons of great adult games...". The implication should be clear enough.
But don't for even a second be delusional of the forum's main purpose: to share games. It has always been since its inception and continues to this day. I love and support this site, but regardless of where you stand on the "piracy vs premium" scale, I don't think that glossing over this simple fact is a healthy thing to do.
40 series 4090 should be able to push this game in vr to a suitable fidelity xD(3090 can do decent fidelity) besides that I really hope they can impliment dlss vr at some point for lower end gpu's.Thanks -Nynx- & jiyuunin for sharing VR version and crack. I guess you somehow missed the past 50 pages of discussion where people posted example after example of the devs clearly stating their main focus has switched over to MP, to the point they're now making MP exclusive content (but no SP exclusive content).their campaign is still single player and that didnt change.
I do agree on that part, the game could have done without lofty promises of being a fully-fledged game on top of the porn - they neither have the resources nor the motivation to make the gameplay worthwhile, but as it stands the steamy part could have been a lot more than a glorified gallery viewer.you are aware that the more resources they put into so called "gameplay" the less steamy stuff we get right
But that's also ignoring how much this site does to spread awareness of various projects that would have likely languished in obscurity otherwise.I don't think that glossing over this simple fact is a healthy thing to do
No, your point does not stand unfortunately, because if you play the semantics card then that benefit applies to the post to which you replied to as well, because in that sense his generalization was correct as that's the whole point of generalizations after all: A generalization is taking one or a few facts and making a broader, more universal statement, not necessarily discounting other facts that weren't specifically mentioned. So let's see what he said:I mean sure, good to know..but it hardly changes my point. I guess if I said it wasn't the site's ONLY purpose then this wouldn't have been necessary. Semantics. I was simply responding to someone who was generalizing and saying that this site is for people who are here specifically to avoid paying. Hard stop. The site was specifically (primarily) made by and for people who want to avoid paying and that remains the main purpose to this day, therefore that sentence is objectively correct, unlike you proposed. Is it a generalization? Yes it is, but not only is his generalization based on a fact, exactly due to it being a generalization it means that he made no other implications, including one where the site is currently used only for that purpose; it was simply you who misinterpreted it or perhaps read too much into it, which ultimately lead to you feeling the need to reply.you're telling someone to just buy something in a place made for people specifically wanting to avoid paying
