For a cheater yes. but why was she naked in bed with dude ? how are gonna talk yourself out of that situation without looking bad yourself ?

We all know she cheated. There is really no other explanation for that scenario.
It was a going away party for a friend, who she also used to have a crush on. She kept her relationship with the MC a secret from them (why would you do that, especially after three months? Unless you want people to think you're single and available). She got drunk and high after promising her "secret boyfriend" that she wouldn't do that. She willing went upstairs with her crush to the bedroom (you don't do that at a party because everyone knows what it means and will lead to). And then you wake up naked with each other. There's no excuse for that. Even if you spilled something on your clothes, you'd still get fresh clothes on if you weren't planning on having sex.
There is no blanks to fill in there. It was the last time she would see him, he was leaving, she had a crush, she wanted to give him a final farewell screw, thinking it wouldn't come back to bite her in the butt cause he would be gone (no strings attached situation). But apparently someone at that party knew her secret, and sent the MC a message.
I just can't see the dev trying to explain this away as something innocent. She's a cheater, simple as that. Which is fine. It gives some nice drama to the story. I would actually be extremely disappointed if the dev tried to turn this into something else (like she never cheated, it was a just a weird set of circumstances/coincidences). What's really going to matter is how we handle it moving forward.

I could not have said it better.
Was she ashamed of mc thats why she kept it a secret ? she was dating 3 months before this event occur. she had enough time to come out and says she isnt single anymore. but at the party she have not seen them for some time. something important as this you dont sweep under a rug.And i sure wont except an excuse that it happened due to Alcohol. Alcohol dont make people cheat.

Yes, well said... I would much rather the Dev kept the drama, kept her as a cheater, didn't try to explain it away as some "illusion"... Sure, people will hate her, people will avoid her, let them make that choice... Just allow those people to miss out on any content with her and don't force any interactions. They get less content to play through because they don't want anything to do with her.I could not have said it better.

Hello I see that's I'm not the only one to be intrigued by Ava's finale, I want to share my thoughts about it as well xd
Why would the Dev show us something like this to finally say " hey guys no worries she didn't cheat".
I mean what the point of doing it? I would like if the Dev actually comfirmed that she cheated on him. She was younger and acted like a young person by making some mistakes (well older ppl would've make the same mistake). Than it is up to the MC to forgive her (maybe come back with her, Idk) or not and heal his wound somehow, so he can finally move forward because I think he has quite a bit of baggage on his back. If we rely to the beginning there is still a lot to do.
I'm looking for the next update keep up the good work like really, renders, writting, animations even the atmosphere of this game is unbelievable. Def one of my fav

My moneys on blaming alcholism or drug abuse cuz she mentions sobritey and now shes been clean for X amount of years and the line "I know its not an excuse but" appears at least once
Still, I don't like it. He has put himself in a vulnerable position, playing the role of a victim and giving this Ava a high ground. The initiative is in her hands, and all he can do is mumble and run away in tears.I get the point, and though i agree that he did not have much of a spine yet, he is depressed and probably is crippled with anxiety. Dont know if you know how that works, but one only enter confrontation when you are backed in a corner
I felt anger and disgust when this Ava appeared, and I definitely wouldn't have kept quiet about it. Even if I didn't tell her to kill herself directly, I definitely wouldn't isolate myself from them, I would just ignore her and talk to this Annie.
This only adds to her guilt. She knew what the rejection of sobriety would lead to and did it anyway. I would say that she simply didn't consider the relationship with him as serious, that's why she didn't tell anyone, he was just a backup, and she was in the search for someone better. She just hadn't expected him to reveal it and put her in this position. Who knows, maybe she left town because of the rumors that she is a whore, not because of guilt or something.

I'm very curious to see how, and if it will be credibly explained. I'm intrigued to hear what Ava explanation was, don't wanna jump the gun about her character, but that scene looked fucked up from Mc's pov and her crying made it look even worse.
It doesn't really matter. I recently wanted to jerk off and decided to do it on the sex scenes from the movies. So, I came across one where the situation was almost the same, at least cheating and words:"It's not what it looks like." So, the MC forgave the woman, because she was abandoned by the guy with whom she cheated and in tears she came to him (the MC) and they had sex. The film was called They Come Together. I suppose it will be the same here - she will cry, say that when he left, her life was ruined, she suffered and everything like that. The hero will feel sorry for her and he will forgive her. So she won't even have to explain anything - her tears will solve everything.
moneys still on blaming substance abuse, she got even worse after THE EVENT, hit rock bottom and now she sober and is on way to 4th world (YES EVEN WORSE THAN 3RD WORLD) country to help starving children to show she is good person so we must forgive

If this game continues at this level of quality it could well be the very best VN I have ever played.
I normally complain about slow updates... I would happily wait 6 months for an update if this level of quality is maintained.

Was a bit worried about what "mental health undertones" and the Drugs tag would involve, but gave Chapter One a try and was very impressed.
I had skimmed through the first couple of pages of the thread so was forewarned about what Ava did to MC.
I am 100% agreement with other have articulated better than I probably can. Ok Ava went to a goodbye party for a guy who she had a crush on, and had a drink . Ok so fair enough. But then she kept her 3 months relationship with MC a secret, despite having said "I love you" in a manner that she was repeating it, not just saying it for the first time. The point is for me they were in a serious relationship at that point, not just casual sex. And then Ava smoked a joint despite pevious history, and then willingly went up to Bryce's room - it was nt simply that either he or some other friend had helped/carry her upstairs. She chose to go up, knowing full well what it entails.
As for Annie versus Ava, for me that is no contest. Annie is just down right gorgeous whilst Ava is just cute IMO. And so far from the little snippets we have had of Annie's personality, I suspect I would fall for her big time in real life. We know Annie feels some affection/concern for the MC - just not yet sure whether Annie does/could fancy the MC. I can't see Annie ever consciously hurting the MC, but if she ever did, that would be BAD. I really hope the Dev would do that to us. Otherwise could have some serious mental health problems with this game!!
The renders are stunning. I thought the mum in the shop was hot. I hope there is some follow up there in later chapters. Unlike some I will be prepared to talk civil to Ava come the morning but would take a lot for me to let my guard with Ava. I am intrigued with the snippets we have been given re Annie- there seems to be more story there that the MC missed because he had withdrawn inwards. I hope that we have a realistic chance with Annie.

Interesting game, good renders and Ava is gorgeous, Annie good looking too. Definitely want to see what happens with 3 of them in the future.
I felt like the game lags a little bit when pressing space to change scenes, it does not change instantly like in other games. It is just a little thing i noticed, not a big deal.

Interesting premise but for this game to make sense there needs to be a really, really serious reason for mc to accept Ava being around. If it's gonna be "we picked her up already so might as well ride to New York together and sort out our feelings" then it's gonna be too silly and frustrating.

I'm not overly sensitive to cheating in these games, and could possibly even make Ava a LI under the right conditions even if she did. But the reason I like this intro so much is the subtle clues that leave the reader wondering. Obviously, there are clues Ava may have cheated, but there are also clues she may have not. Everyone keeps focusing on Byrce as Ava's "former crush". But Ava never says that. Instead, that is something repeatedly forced on her by this other chick at the party, Natasha. The only thing Ava says is "I don't like Byrce anymore". Also, someone on this thread mentioned the sabotage angle. Who sent the photos to the mc's phone? Why? What exactly were in the photos... Ava having sex with Byrce? Or just them lying knocked out in bed?
The only thing we know is Ava was a part of this clique that she had distanced herself from. She didn't try to hide from the MC that she was going to the party to say goodbye to Bryce. After she and Bryce walk upstairs, hours and hours go by where we don't know what happens. I assume the developer set it up like that on purpose and can plug in ALL KINDS of interesting and plausible scenarios. Frankly, I can think of a few that would potentially make this a more intriguing story than the same old cheating girlfriend from the past we've seen in other games. Maybe a new couple (Ava and MC) torn apart by misunderstandings brought on by a combination of there own internal baggage and external sabotage turns out to be a unique plot.
Either way, I hope the developer at least initially sticks to his/her story, while remaining open to constructive criticism AFTER the audience has actually read it.
Really enjoyed this and I'm looking forward to more. Gotta agree with most though that it doesn't look good for Ava. Even if she didn't actually sleep with Bryce she betrayed MC's trust several times up to being lead upstairs. Then when she tries to speak to him on the roof she gets smarmy with him because he doesn't know how to process seeing her again. I can't wait to see how her story goes but unless MC was a complete prick to her before that night it's going to take some impressive storytelling to make my feel sympathy for her.
