As to the texts from an unknown number, I believe that those could be from the woman who has fucked over the MC and left him in his current emotional state. Say Sarah texted the MC, sabotaged (or not*) his relationship with Ava, and then played the sympathetic friend afterwards. She "helps" him get over Ava, they get into a relationship, and they have a monumentally bad break up which leaves the MC how we find him in the beginning of the game. I can't believe that the MC is this broken over Ava (that was ~3 years ago), in addition Anne knows what the more current ex-girlfriend looks like - she looks at a picture that is obviously of the latest horrible breakup and doesn't recognize Ava when they pick her up.

*or not because she may have just seized the opportunity that Ava's cheating presented for her. No need to do more than take a few pictures to incriminate Ava.

I hope that the dev keeps Ava as an unsympathetic cheater but allows people to avoid her. It would be a different take than the "you misunderstood what happened, flew into a rage and beat up an innocent guy" (who should have called the cops on the MC's ass).

The question I want NEED answered is why does the MC ONLY sleep on couches? Is it because of his current break up? He sleeps on his couch at home before Anne picks him up and then he sleeps on the couch in the hotel room... IIRC he only slept in a bed when he woke up to the texts from the mystery texter before breaking up with Ava.

I just assumed that MC slept on the couch in his home because he didn't have a bed and in the hotel room because Annie didn't get a room with two beds. But as far as still being broken up over Ava three years later, I'm not going into details but trust me I know it is possible. I agree that it would be best to keep Ava as a cheater simply because it is something new. Like not to keep beating a dead horse but how many times have we seen the "nothing happened" trope by now? I do believe that Ava is the most recent girlfriend just because if the MC had a worse relationship after then they would not have ran from Ava at the first chance they got. But of course, there is the possibility that you are correct.

In terms of Ava I just want the option to nope on her whether or not deserved for whatever happened at that party. Thou looks that she willingly cheated it even says verbatim

I don't think (or want) this ONE incident is enough to make the MC a pessimist for years after but is for sure something to chose whether to let it go (if he wants), or stay mad (also justified)

The cheating GF thing isn't really that prevalent, it is actually rare due to how the community reacts (F95 is like a tempest in a teapot when it comes to that subject). Overall, most games the GFs are insanely loyal and the MC is the one who fucks around either openly or behind the GF's back. Go figure that most people have no problem with that.

IIRC Bad Teacher the cheating at the beginning was just going to be a stepping off point but people wanted to see the MC have a chance to have revenge upon the ex. Even then the dev was going to let people avoid her.

The dev of this game is getting a lot of flak from some people because they feel that once a girlfriend cheats she should cease to exist. As I've stated previously the dev made it look like cheating and the MC became angry about it but that doesn't mean she did cheat. However, the whole "make it look like she cheated but really the MC was mislead/misinformed" is a common trope, I'd rather that she did cheat and they either work their way through it and end as friends or lovers or strangers. - three options. But that is a lot for a developer to render, program, and write. I hope that there are at least two options - avoid her or reconcile with her - to allow people that are sensitive to cheating to avoid her completely.

Personally, I want to see where the dev goes with the game. I find the exploration of mental health in a game interesting. If I had any way to support this dev I would but I am already pushing it.

I agree unfaithful Ava would be interesting if the mc is forced to continue the road trip with her and work through the pain one way or another. The only thing I keep disagreeing with is that Ava as a victim of circumstance is necessarily a common trope. It depends on how it's written. Isn't it more of a common trope that the mc is in a funk because of a cheating gf? I 'd prefer more surprises and something more intricate and tied to his mental health issues. Heck, even what Mr. Friendly alluded to - someone else cheating on the mc, maybe even with Bryce, which is why the mc reacted so impulsively violent.

I kind of think the opposite of everyone here. To me, Ava as the cheater is the obvious direction. It doesn't mean it won't be a good one. But I wouldn't mind some curve balls.

Perhaps he's not sleeping in his bed because he may have caught his latest ex cheating in his bed? Or something deeply traumatizing that involves his bed. When one partner cheats on another in their own bed, the betrayed rarely take to it again. But then again, he could have just sold it or thrown it away for another. But this would be my guess

In this other place, the mc is fucking his girl, another girl arrives and starts to suck him off. MC's girlfriend gets angry and as they are very drunk, MC only remembers the scene of his girl going without a skirt or panties towards the guy who was with the girl who is now sucking his cock. And there he did not remember anything else. It was weird because I had followed the wt so as not to go to ntr. Well, in the update the girlfriend tells the MC that she felt displaced and took a taxi and went home. And we have to believe that when the MC saw her half-naked going to the other guy, he was going to a taxi. Why did I drop this roll? Well, because I hope this game is here, they don't do something similar to us and tell us some totally incredible excuse. Ava cheated and there is no explanation to justify it. In the other game the situation is so unreal that even the dev put the following thought in the mc "well, I'll have to believe what she tells me, I have no other option". I can't wait to see how this MC will deal with his cheating ex. I hope there's multiple options regarding what we could do about her. I also really want to hear her excuse if she has any by this point. It will be really great if, for once, there's not some dumb excuse for the LI's presumed infidelity. I'd really like to see how this would shape their trip to New York, and how the MC's childhood friend would react to this new information. The MC seems to be going through some mental health issues(obviously), but he by no means seems the type to be a doormat or passive. This should be pretty interesting

Yeah, my only issue with it is that, most likely, we are going to find out that Ava didn’t cheat - it was all a misunderstanding - so the MC pummeled an innocent idiot. I’d rather that Ava did actually cheat and players can choose to have Ava as a LI (or not). Regardless I’m interested to see where this goes and what really did happen.

I for one can't think of any logical scenario that would explain why Ava ended up fully nude in Bryce's bed if not to give him a 'farewell fuck' so to speak. It's not like she was forced against her will to go upstairs with Bryce; in fact she did it knowing the implications of such actions. Also judging from MC's interactions with Ava's friends during the morning after, it seems MC and the 'clique' has had prior history which exacerbated his violent reaction to the situation.

That being said, I actually think Ava's character is essential as a major plot point moving forward and wouldn't mind keeping her around. That doesn't mean I have to like her character though.
