If you're talking about Cursed Armor 2, it's not the exact same developer. IT's a team between Wolfzq (CA2) and Tentacle3g. We don't know what the actual work split is like between them, and this patreon is set to update only instead of monthly (reduces the amount of milking that can be done in theory).

They're still developing it although quite slowly, the dev got Covid and just recently recovered, so the development might be a bit faster now.

Haven't checked the file that he posted, but the way RPGMakerMV works is that there are individual save files, and 2 other files. The files are your game options settings (volume settings and such, the config.rpgsave) and the other one tells the game engine which save files are in use (global.rpgsave). If the file you downloaded doesn't have the global.rpgsave (or you didn't use it), that would cause the save to not show up in the game. You can fix it by either using the global file (if it can with the save you downloaded, making a save in whatever slot the save file is before copying over the downloaded file, or renaming the downloaded file to a save you've already made and replace it.
That's strange, I already posted 2 save files and the ingame file to make it work like every other games. Did you guys put it inside the save file for the game yet?
There's new update, the game gonna update in next month or the latest is at the beginning of May. More CGs scenes had been added, they're doing the story progression so it will take a little bit more time
The cgs are in patreon of the developer, I only have some of them, but surely it's really hot. You can expected from it!
The game main languages are Chinese and English, the released like I said going to be before May Day as the developers said so.
Yes, most of the new scenes had already been completed. The only thing still need little bit more work is the story line. The game will have a huge update at the end of this month or latest, middle of May.
