Well you heard them. They only do things that make them money. They have no interest in giving good endings. Rush the end to move on to the next cash cow.
Which ironically is not the ideal way to make profits.
steve-jobs-6568.jpg

that being said... "few people were interested in our product so we scrapped it to work on a better product" is in a way focusing on making a better product.

I mean, you must be pretty young if you can afford to do things that don't bring you money.
I have a family to feed, I can't afford to do stuff that won't bring me any cash just out of pure "love for porn games". Sorry about that.

Also,
damn this devs surely enjoy having a b!tch behavior
I'm just brutally honest, you can like it or not.

And that was also disappointing and kind of shitty to read. I would like to think that it was said out of frustration, but unless they say something about it and start to make a change, it's a strong case to not financially support them in the future. If they're just going to focus on quickly rushing games to the end so they can move on to the next one, I find that a huge waste of talent. In any case, I think whoever is posting for Whiteleaf Studio on here has damaged a lot of the good will people had for them.
You're confusing things here. We only doing projects that bring us money but that has no relation to your view of us "quickly rushing games". I only said that we won't keep projects that are not financially viable, we we'll remake them into something more popular. The whole "rushing" things is just your opinion. To me the game is complete, a solid jerk off game as intended. We never intended to be anything else. Drop your expectations of us. It is what it is.

The funny thing about this 'We are only doing projects that bring us money' is the following:
=> If you don't make quality games, they won't bring you money.
=> If you scrap the projects BEFORE the people get invested, they will never make you money.
=> If a game has great potential, people enjoy the start and then you just end the game abruptly then it has the opposite effect instead. People won't bother to invest in it OR even in the following projects before the content is guaranteed because they've been burned before.
If you don't even stand behind your own game and you just want to finish it to move onto the next, why should other people?

Following your own logic you might as well scrap all the projects you just started on, as they barely ever make any money at the start... It's such flawed logic x.X

I've played several of your games before it seems and every single one felt 'rushed'; especially the endings. There was a lot of potential to work with every time. You could have built on the story in so many ways and did so many things with the games to make them into something amazing. Games that would have given a lasting impression, that would have been talked about a lot. That would have made people look forward to the next game you guys made. But instead you settled for mediocrity and the short term. You let down all the players each time by wasting all that potential. They want to like the game, you just don't allow them to. THAT is what people are annoyed with and are complaining about.

P.S. I barely ever comment, but I really wanted you to at least realise this.

Exactly, you pay into a game expecting good quality and something that will satisfy, what do you get, a watered down something with a rushed ending and a guy who says " we're in it for the profit" gives you confidence in their future ventures.

I will prove you wrong with one single sentence.

Tamas Awakening took more than THREE years to complete and you still said it felt "rushed".
And that was way before we started scrapping projects or even selling our games.
Let that sink in. Don't you think maybe I'm just a mediocre writer or something?

JUST ACCEPT THAT WE CREATE SHORT LINEAR MASTURBATION GAMES. That's all.
Don't look for a great story in our games and you'll be happy. There's plenty of other games with great stories out there.

Rip lol at least he was honest about $ or hasn't pulled a Ecchi Sensei...yet :ROFLMAO::LOL:
I'm always honest. This is my WORK and I have a family to feed like I said. I will create my games like I want and everyone is free to play (or not) and enjoy it (or not).

I don't get why it's so hard to just move on and play other games if our games don't suit your tastes. Everyone is so entitled, specially when they're playing the game for free.

Which is very funny to me. I receive a lot more complainings from people WHO DID NOT PAY FOR MY GAME then from then people who actually supported me.

I honestly think the devs are based. Being honest with your audience, even if they don't like your takes, is invaluable. Honestly, I hope you have success in the future doing your thing, the game looks pretty good.

I really don't understand most of the criticisms of the ending. Rushed? Unrealized potential? Ended abruptly? Everything that was set out at the beginning of the game was accomplished in detail.

The aunt specified the goals for the MC at the beginning of the game: bed all the family members and the girlfriend; get them all pregnant; reconcile all of them to being part of the MC's harem.

All of that was accomplished by the end of the last release! Provided, of course, that you didn't hit that completely unnecesesary game-over that was put in there. The final scene is everyone gathered around the dinner table, where the MC announces that he is the heir and that they are all his harem members. After some argument, this is accepted by all. This is followed by a trip to the bedroom and a gigantic orgy.

I have no idea what else people were expecting.

you know why, it's hard to find honest devs AND quality products. the age old saying fool me once, twice, three times. yes we want you to be both, and we think you can be if you wanted to.

that's a straw man argument bro. think about it like this, how many people visit casino's regularly DESPITE losing money at them? some people are just that hopeless and stupid. those types of people don't care about quality or even being ripped off. they just wanna pay for their dream to MAYBE be realized. :HideThePain:

now with that said, i would like to think increasing your rep would increase your profits. and by 90%ing your games as a practice (to us pirates at least) your increasing your notoriety rather than rep... and hypothetically if your rep with us pirates improve, word gets around more and your profits potentially go up. or at least that's the idea. why do you use F95 otherwise? free bug testing? ideally you should wanna make pirates actually feel guilty about pirating your game though the sheer quality of the game alone. THAT would most definitely increase your revenue... and taxes. LOL

btw i'm seeing a bit of dissonance between "i told the story i wanna tell" and "i do this to make money to feed my family". and it's harming your games, even if only slightly. that slightly could just be the thing that's holding you back from making the big break your looking for. or... it could just be a little bit more extra work that goes somewhat unrewarded. aren't those good enough odds to gamble on? is there something wrong with an extra month or two of work? i mean i can fully understand the dread of feature creep. but that little extra is often time VERY much what keeps people who aren't the casino visiting types coming back for your next project.

The whole "money" thing was about other game, not even this game. I said that I will be reworking our other game "Rise of the Outcast Hero" because people didn't get interested enough in the initial stages so I won't keep pushing it, isntead I'll rework into something more popular.

For this game (Family Breeding), it's exactly like I wanted. Extending it would be boring for me so I won't do it. Everyone got fucked, everyone got pregnant, there's nothing else to tell anymore. I could put other fetishes and stuff like that but like I said, that's boring FOR ME.
