Can anyone tell me how to use event.rpa to install a new event pack into the orignal game? thanks.


To install the event packs, copy the .rpa files into the game folder. You shouldn't see any blue squares in the thread board.

To install the bug-fix patch (to upgrade to v0.1.3) you need to extract the contents of the FamilyLife0.1.3.patch.zip file to the main folder of the game (the folder that contains FamilyLife.exe, above the 'game' folder). This should replace all the .rpy files in the game folder. If the installation of the patch worked, you should see an L, T, and Q in the upper-right corner beside the hamburger menu.

to play on android and overall it works fantastic. However, the buttons are very small and hard to click on mobile.

Please make the cheat button larger and move it to I would say the bottom left? But please at least triple its size. Make the clickable dialogue options larger, I would prefer the generic renpy center of screen ones but if you must keep them on the side at least make them at least double the size.

Please bring the locate button outside of the cheat menu, and make the save button visible as well. I think they should all go on the bottom left.

I don't know what your problem is but there are versions of joiplay that correspond to different versions on Renpy. I personally have 2 versions of joiplay installed on my tablet.

Hi theMorzan, here's a patch file for you to test that contains the quick jump menu. You can install it by unzipping the contents and overwriting the files in the 'game' folder. Please note I've made a lot of different changes over the last few months, and this patch may break your game. So, I strongly suggest you keep your old saves. And, if the patch does have some bugs, you'll have to download the previous patch (0.1.4d) and reinstall it instead (and then continue playing from an old save made with the previous version). That said, I'm optimistic there won't be any problems, or it will fail completely before you can even start playing.

To test the new feature, you'll have to turn it on first from the cheat menu (the last option, "Enable quick jump menu"). I'm not going to tell you any more, because I want your feedback on how difficult it was to figure out. Please provide any constructive criticism you can.

Renpy 7.3 was the version for most of the last 2 years, so most games are on that. 7.4 is newerish and works with the latest version of joiplay. Most games you can check their changelogs if it mentions an update to 7.4 then it's new, if the game is more than a year old and doesn't mention an update it's probably the older one. But personally I try to add all games to the latest joiplay, and if it doesn't work add it to the older joiplay.
