AI art would be a disaster.
Meh. Last year I would have agreed but this year there have been some absolute bangers with AI art. I only said AI art because it would be faster in theory except for the continuity of settings in the scenes or the environment. The story is already there.

So just read through some posts over last few years that I apparently missed. No stroke, but did have a heart attack at a young age age. It was shortly after that I stopped with the game. Between marriage and changing life to be healthier, I just didn’t have time anymore. I have been talking to someone recently tho about them possibly finishing the game for me. We will post should it come to fruition!! Sorry again I never finished, had so many ideas for the game but life happens I suppose.
Wow, glad to hear you are still around. Family Man was one of the earliest Adult games I played, and still consider it one of the best. Was so looking forward to seeing where things went with the various characters like the eldest daughter, the waitress friend, the Spanish maid to name a few. Was just re-playing, so thought I'd do a search about the game although didn't expect finding much as, honestly, I thought I had read you had passed on a while back. Wonderful to hear that wasn't actually the case although a heart attack is nothing to sneeze at, so understand how the game got put on the backburner with everything else in your life. I do hope you find a way to continue the game and implement all those ideas you had in mind as would love to see it finished. In the meantime, wishing you good health & happy life!

HE LIVES!!!!

Sad though I was/am that the game was abandoned, important thing is knowing you're ok. It's alarming when someone just vanishes like that, even just an "internet acquaintance". Glad to hear you're alive and well, take care of the ticker.

Unsolicited advice time! I'm sure you're sitting there hoping randos on the internet that know nothing about you would give you some unasked-for suggestions, so here we go.

There are a few devs around here who make it clear patreon is a tip jar, the game is not a priority, one release a year is a best case scenario, etc. They still get a decent number of $1-$5 subscribers if the game is good, so it's better than a hobby that doesn't pay at all.

If you are serious about subcontracting it, you might want to try farming out the art and programming but do at least the script outlines yourself. Your style and the way you did the characters was what made the game great (although I'd be lying if the slow-burn lezcest angle wasn't a major draw for me). You could basically take your time and finish the plot outline, maybe do some key dialogue points, then hand it all over and let the art be a total rework so the style is consistent.

The important thing is to avoid stress. If you just sell the game to a new developer in that state you won't get a lot of money but you won't be on the hook for deliverables either. If you want to keep creative control (like, doing an editing pass on each chapter as the new dev comples the reworks and eventually the new work) then be sure to structure the dev's incentives so they aren't motivated to rush you.

I'm also glad to hear you're doing well. By the way, a long time ago I asked you about the stats for some characters in the game, and you told me which models you used (thank you again for that; not every author is willing to share their originals, even though we know where most people get their models from). It would be great if the game can be continued. For my part, here are some pieces of art I made for the game; I think some people will like them ;) :

That's a lot of images. Could you please put those within SPOILER tags (see Site Rule #2.6, point 3)?
