Right click and extract here, again and again.
Using 7zip, extract the first folder ('fantasm 75').
Go in the folder, highlight all three items and pick extract here again via the 7zip menu.
You will have three new items, highlight them ALL and repeat the same procedure once more.

You should now have extracted the 'FantasMv75' folder with no errors.
thanks, that worked. i didnt think that 7zip would still work on those files, since they looked so weird.

PhantomKuro is working on an updated version, it's playable so far but it's still the rough mtl translation, though with fixes for the scripts because using T++ on FantasM tends to break the everloving fuck out of it, for the official one, still nothing, won't come out until the game is completely finished and it will probably be a MTL

I'm hoping to put Abereon in touch with Onomaximum from the Giantesscity forums before that horrendous future comes to pass. He worked with DoM to produce a great by-hand translation for Tenoseka/The World in the Palm of your Hand. I'm hoping the same can be done for FantasM. It is deserving of much better than a simple mtl.

Agreed, even though the MTL makes it very hard for me to enjoy it, FantasM has become my favorite GTS game by a LOT, I hope you manage to get the two into contact, as always thank you for your work

What is the key to / how do you access the map, the last time I played was around patch 5.62 so i don't remember much.

Edit: took me 2 second to figure it out, I didnt have "A" as a keybind since I switched wasd for arrows..

The what encounters now?
I looked through the game files and found pictures of high-heel battles for school. I tried to trigger the scenes, but I didn't find them. Then I looked through this thread and found a message that, 2 years ago, it had not been implemented. So, I ask, is it implemented now?

I got an extraction, but the only folder once I open it is Audio, and the game cant run because there are no graphics

Did you follow the instructions completely? As in, using 7zip don't open the zip files but simply right click and extract again and again? While having ALL files highlighted?
That should do the trick, and in the final folder there should be 7 items (Game, readme, etc.).

If it still don't work, sorry but I don't know how else to help you. Maybe try re-downloading it?

Sorry for the delay. I updated Translator++ between when I made the project for the previous FantasM version and this one, and this updated version creates projects in a very different way from the way the last one did. The good news is that I can finally see the raw data for inlinescript text lines, meaning I might finally be able to get the teleports and rememberance options translated.

The bad news is I can't get the thing to stop crashing every time I attempt to export the translated files. >_> I'm guessing it has something to do with my method of importing already translated lines...I'm probably going to have to retranslate everything from scratch if this continues. So...yeah, might be waiting a bit for the new content to get translated unless someone else does it before me.

On the plus side, I noticed my Scripts file was causing another gameplay issue: skills that are supposed to use HP instead of SP were taking SP anyway. I got that issue solved, and also fixed some of the weirdness in the craft naming menu. System is also updated a bit so some shield resistance type are now translated correctly, but I didn't get all of them.

These files are for version 74, not the most recent one which is 75. Sorry again for the delay.

Sorry for the double post. The issue was surprisingly simple to resolve: I just had to split up the exports instead of do them all at once. Here's the MTL for the updated version of FantasM, 0.75, everyone.

Good news: this updated version of Translator++ seems to have resolved one of the issues I was having previously, so now all of the boss refight lanterns and reflection pools should have their options fully translated!

Unfortunately, the issue of translated text not appearing in-game persists with the teleport menu. I managed to narrow down which lines in Translator++ correspond to the text that is supposed to show in that menu via one of the few that is translated correctly (bringing up the search, changing the target to "context", and typing in "script/13" will point to the name of each map's teleport). I'm not sure why it's still not appearing even though the reflections now do, nor why only "Heavenly Palace Playground" is the only one that shows up correctly, and I'm still not sure how to go about fixing it. Contrary to what I previously understood, the Raw tab at the bottom of the screen in Translator++ doesn't allow me to actually edit the javascript. To do that I apparently have to use something called the " " menu, which doesn't seem to be where the screenshot on that page shows - but that page seems focused on RPG Maker MV projects, so maybe it just isn't available for XP projects like FantasM? I'm at a loss.

Regardless, I hope it works well for everyone! Remember to have the language set to Japanese in the Settings so it pulls the text from the correct locations.

Quick update: I noticed the current MTL messes with the Orb tab in the items menu. Orbs can still be used from the Now or All tabs to teach your party members spells.

I also got a game crash when I attempted to open the RM item shop in the torii gate grassy area. The error message lists a syntax error so it's probably caused by the MTL. I'll look into it at my next opportunity.

Hey so i may just be dumb but how do i apply the translation? Just slapping it alongside the other files doesn't do anything.
I'll copy-paste my instructions from a couple pages back. Make sure not to have the MTL you got from me in FantasM's folder while you do these steps.

To use them, you'll need to have decrypted the game.rgssad file present in the folder toon667 uploaded previously. To do that, you'll need a 3rd party tool that can be installed through Translator++ called "RgssDecrpyter". You can download Translator++ .

-Download Translator++
-Extract the files to a folder you'll be able to find easily
-Run Translator++ using the .exe in that folder. It should give you the options for which 3rd party tools you want to install when you first run it. Make sure RgssDecrypter is one of the ones you select.
-Once it is done installing add-ons, close Translator++, open a file explorer window, and open Translator++'s folder.
-Open the folder named "3rdParty", then the folder named "RgssDecrypter". You should see three files, one of which is a .exe file named "RgssDecrypter"
-Now open FantasMv75's folder in a second file explorer window, find the file named "Game.rgssad", and drag it from Fantasmv75 window and drop it on RgssDecrypter.exe.
-A terminal should open and show the app extracting the Data and Graphics folders from Game.rgssad, which will appear in the FantasM folder. You don't need to do anything at this step.
-Once the decryption is done, rename the Data folder you now have to something else, like "JPData", or just delete it if you really don't care about keeping the original Japanese text as a backup (which I recommend against since I haven't fully playtested my Scripts.rxdata file). You'll also need to delete Game.rgssad or move it to its own folder.
-Congrats! The decryption is finished. Now just move everything in the Data folder you downloaded from me into your own FantasMv75 folder and you should be good to go!

By the way, just letting you know but Map290.rxdata seems to have a SyntaxError after you teleport in and it shows:
"of an adventure, [YEN]NOur mission is [YEN cut off]" which is then followed by a Window Error Pop-Up saying:
"[SUTARIFUTO][KANJIs][ni]SyntaxError[ka][KANJI][shimashita]."

The v.71 Data does not have this error but it also does not have the Starter Pop-Up Message Prompt translated either.
If you wanted to find similar errors like this, this seems to be the first one since it's in the First Area Unlocked: The Field.

No problem. I just hope this didn't put a damper in whatever you were doing.
Trial and Error like this is nothing when you compare it to the passion project that is Skyrim.
