You can set any level of corruption yourself, you don't need saves for that. See the FAQ ( 1.5.1 & 1.5.7).

Saves and Faq are required only bc there is no a VN version
SANDBOX SUKS bc players have losen the sense of the plot and this makes all endings senseless
with VN version you are able to recap the main plot.... too many years have passed but i will never try to start again from EP1... it is too grinding and useless
Every one here is only focused on the current update and everyone has lost the meaning of the main plot
