Full rework of all content from 0.1-0.3, no content past 0.4 but there will be some changes to previous content to fix plotholes and give each girl a good amount of screen time.So next update is just reworks and no new content or both?
That couldn't be further from the truth. Remakes in general are bad. Most everyone accepts that these games take years to complete and that devs gain exp doing so which means it starts decent then ends good. There's nothing worst than the cycle of remakes, then later is a re-remake and so on.The way 'Zetan' has been remaking the older scenes of his game has been the best way, he does a little bit with each update, without impacting the development of the game and without losing motivation.
Just want to point out the irony of this statement when your pf is a character from Ripples which Jestur remade a while back to ensure that future updates wouldn't be a nightmare to make.Remakes in general are bad.
I absolutely was annoyed and irritated when Jestur did is rework. We even lost 2 sex scenes during the remake. For Jestur, while i didnt like it, i understand the need to recode to make things work, but i didnt appreciate redoing the first chapter (even though it gave me this awesome render of my favorite gal which you mentionned in my profile pic).Just want to point out the irony of this statement when your pf is a character from Ripples which Jestur remade a while back
haha I just kind of liked all but Levy about equal I just loved all their characters. Koko was my favorite at the start then grew to like the others just as much. Tho I don't even think about how a characters physical appearance when it comes to if I like them or not since it doesnt matter to meWhile we're at it, i finished the other game i was playing and gave this one a try. I usually do a blind run first, then depending on how i like the game, i do a maximized 2 or 3 solo runs for the girls i like most. Going with the banner, i was going for Avis, Serena and Eiko, whichever i would find i liked most. While playing, a lot of things ended up changing.
While i still liked Avis while seeing her having a nose rings (im not into the piercings), she lost a tons of points with me when i found out she was a smoker. I know it's just a game, but it's a massive turn off for me. Also i know its forced drama from the game's linearity, but i didnt like Avis not really wanting to tell us much. Is it that hard to say for example: oh i heard the dude tell the friend you nuts hide your drugs or else we gonna dissapear her like the other chicks, then i had to change school. As for Eiko, nah, i dont like her nasty face thing she does and her shady character. I see who it's lining up she will be related too, but nah. As for Selena, it's still on the maybe. She's a bitch type women still and a user, but i like that she seems to be trying to get better when you refuse her and comes clean.
For the rest of the cast: Koko i didn't like from the start. Her model for me is mid and the whole richest in the world schtick doesnt interest me. Annie, er, Raiko is nice but only for friendlies and hanging out. Im not into the shortcakes girls that look younger aged. (more into tall well toned mommies ) I ended up liking trying to interact and court Valentina for some reason she seemed more "normal" to me with more approachable and manageable issues that drug dealing or extreme shyness and started to also like Levy. Complete 360 i know hahaha.
Nice game overall. A bit peeved about the remake, but what can i do. Will put the thread on "watch" and look from time to time for news and updates.
I "like" all but Eiko and Koko. Their personalities and story segments were nice enough.haha I just kind of liked all but Levy about equal I just loved all their characters. Koko was my favorite at the start then grew to like the others just as much.
I don't care about a degree of physical appearance that deviates from my preferences (like i said, very short or chiild looking/influenced women aren't for me and will always avoid anything more than friends), but when starting a blind run, i will always try to fish for good interactions with the type i like most IRL that will match on the banner, which for me is taller, black haired (sometimes red hed in games if the model looks nice, dont like them IRL go figures), fit and regular sized breasts. I liked the Avis interactions, so i decided to pursue even tho she wasnt my style, but later on decided she wasnt for me. Same with Eiko. I was to go all in on her, but then i gave up after seeing where her arc was going. Same for Levy. Not my style, but i appreciated the interactions. And when i say some girls arent for me, i dont mean im gonna ignore them or anything, im still gonna play to include them, i just mean i'll avoid the sexual interactions with them and just keep them friends. Unless its a harem, them ill bang them all, as the game is meant that way and skipping some just equals missing content.Tho I don't even think about how a characters physical appearance when it comes to if I like them or not since it doesnt matter to me
yeah I get you honestly im a bit odd one out and I really don't skip girls I dislike. Even in single LI games I play paths of characters I dislike , character wise or appearance. So it's gotten to the point nothing is a turn off for me unless I really hate their character or they make me uncomfortable. A character has to be a special kind of dislike or for me to find uninteresting for me to avoid them / only be friends. This is one of the rare games where I like them all equally where im not playing certain paths just for the sake of seeing other than Levy.I "like" all but Eiko and Koko. Their personalities and story segments were nice enough.

When i was in my infancy of playing AVN's years ago, and i played only a few games, i was also doing a play for every girl there was. I was playing a pretty popular college setting game and had saved for everything and all unlocked. Then, some computer BS happened and i lost all saves for all games i had and replayed a few routes. Then years later, i changed laptop so i had to restart again and only replayed my main path. With more diverse games to play, it became a chore to me to play every possibility and was getting burnt out, so i decided to limit myself to just a few routes that i liked in each and if i wanted more i just used a gallery unlocker.yeah I get you honestly im a bit odd one out and I really don't skip girls I dislike. you can't sell HS games on steam, just fyiEspecially since it's not coming from passion for the game or craft, but just from greed, as it was stated the remakes were just to promote better sales on steam.
You should tell the developper of the game then, because he said he will, and he has a link to wishlist it on steam right now. I removed the images and non steam relevant topics as well as the steam link since it's publicity for another game here, but you can go find the original post with the post #. DESERT STALKER IS COMING TO STEAM!
The starting shot has been fired! More than three years have passed since the first upload, and now comes a new chapter on the most popular platform, and we are more than hyped to announce:
Desert Stalker is now available for wish-listing on Steam!
In case you have missed the recent development logs, we not just busy working on the new content, but also finish the final batch of reworked content to present a whole new, remastered and reworked game. From better renders to extra content, restarting the game will be worth it.
And all this will come in one big update for 0.17!

I'll try to answer some potentially common questions below, but if you have any other questions let me know:
Q: Will the Steam version content be different from the Patreon/SubscribeStar version?
A: No, there will not be any additional or exclusive content across different platforms. Supporters on Patreon and SubscribeStar will continue to receive weekly development logs, monthly renders, and more opportunities to participate in the development process.
Q: Will the Patreon/SubscribeStar release schedules be affected after the Steam release?
A: No, the release schedules will remain unchanged.
Q: What will be the Steam update frequency/lifecycle?
A: We don't expect to update the Steam version with every new release, due to the maintenance it would require and because we still want to offer early access as a benefit for our regular supporters. This will also give us time to include up-to-date translations for the Steam updates.
Q: Will the saves be compatible between versions (Steam vs Patreon/SubscribeStar)?
A: That’s the goal, unless a specific technical issue prevents us from ensuring compatibility.
Q: Will the Steam release invalidate my current saves?
A: The Steam release presents an opportunity to upgrade our engine to the next major version (our current Ren'Py version reached end-of-life last May). This means there’s a chance players might need to start over, but we will do our best to avoid that — either through in-game compatibility or by providing an export/import function. We’ll provide more clarity as development progresses.

A steam release is something that never crossed my mind back when I started, and I sincerely mean it when I say THANK YOU, each and every one of you, for making it possible through those years!
Now let's spread the word
sorry I missed the bit that you were talking about another game, thought you were referring to Fates Collide about the steam releaseYou should tell the developper of the game then, because he said he will, and he has a link to wishlist it on steam right now. No problem.sorry I missed the bit that you were talking about another game, thought you were referring to Fates Collide about the steam release
from what I understand it isn't rework like other devs do because of they want to improve the renders and add nothing of value. But the dev is attempting to fix some of the plotholes , writing and give on of the characters a bit more deveolopment so it makes sense later. While also touching up some of the renders. Is this avn in rework hell too or what are you guys discussing about?
