Maybe it is not getting enough financial support to continue developing or something else?
Presumably something else: it's getting too much support. He's making $6k a month off of fans who apparently think he's porn Jesus or something, no matter how little/late he delivers, so there's no real incentive to actually get his shit together and learn to write to a self-set deadline merely a single month behind a self-set deadline.

Hope it's at least good. I mean, overall it's always pretty good when it's released, the problem is that this episode supposed to be done in one month, not three. Not to mention previous update took 3 months more or something :HideThePain:
Not like it's ever been different with this game, unfortunately.

While Crush deserves a lot of the criticism this is just nonsense. Who gets to decide how long an update should take? Yes, he was severely behind schedule and has had a past of rather unfortunate delays, but saying that an update should take this or that much time is just entitlement. Quite frankly, he never delivered an update as fast as this one, I believe.

Hey guys! As suggested in the last report, we're going to release this episode in two parts (to get it to you quicker).

Episode 1.16 is now called Fallout, and it deals with the cliffhanger ending of the last episode. Early Access release target is Aug 31, general release Sep 14.

Episode 1.17, Girls Night Out, has an Early Access release target of Sep 30, general release Oct 14.

These two episodes set up three side quests: White Russian, Booth Babe, and Big Mac. I plan to release these, one per month, in October, November and December.

So the release schedule is:
  • AUG 31: Episode 1.16 "Fallout" (Early Access)
  • SEP 14: Episode 1.16 "Fallout" (general release)
  • SEP 30: Episode 1.17 "Girls Night Out" (Early Access)
  • OCT 14: Episode 1.17 "Girls Night Out" (general release)
  • OCT 31: Episode 1.18 "White Russian" (Early Access)
  • NOV 14: Episode 1.18 "White Russian" (general release)
  • NOV 30: Episode 1.19 "Big Mac" (Early Access)
  • DEC 14: Episode 1.19 "Big Mac" (general release)
  • DEC 31: Episode 1.20 "Booth Babe" (Early Access)
  • JAN 14: Episode 1.20 "Booth Babe" (general release)
I'd uh, better get back to work.

[...]
My priority is finalising the plan for the next episode. I was intending to jump straight into one of the three side quests we’ve set up in the previous two episodes (White Russian, Big Mac and Booth Babe). But after a few days struggling with outlines, I think we need to insert a mini story episode first.

The purpose is really just to set conditions for the side quests (and the next main quest episode later). I’m picturing something much smaller in scope than the past couple of episodes, so hopefully it should be ready much more Soon™. [...]
Those 2 reports from Crush are the culprit. If he tells us the side quests take less time and then the first one (Girls Night Out) takes 3-4 months and then he interjects a 'mini' setup episode that also takes 3 months he is setting the wrong expectations that people cling to.

This. Exactly.
There were delays "quite often" before, but after he set dates himself and we are here on only second of four updates three months later after it all should be done...

People who expect Crush to not be Crush are always going to be disappointed. He has never failed to be overly-optimistic about his progress and release dates, but that's only disappointing to those that somehow convince themselves that this time it will be different. I've been a low-level supporter from the start but haven't been disappointed by delays in release because I never expect to see the release until it is in hand. We could get releases that are 90% oof the current quality in 20% of the time if that was the kind of writer Crush was, but he isn't. Demanding that the leopard change its spots (specially as a non-patron) is a waste of lifespan.

He's pulling $6k per month, it's not the financial support lol
lol, 72k and putting out *maybe* a couple paragraphs every 3-4 months.
Stephen King writes more than that every single day, why don't more writers take his advice to sit your ass down and write-write-write.
Practice is how you get good at this stuff, not mewling over specific wordage of 1 sentence over months.

lol 72 bazillion and putting out a syllable per century.

Stephen King just wishes he had Crush's self-discipline.

Anyone can share a save where Connor wants a BJ instead of bending her over?
>>>"Oh yeah. You're a treasure."
>>> "I love it when yer sassy, right before you suck a dick."
Or say how did you get there.

I think the episode is fine. I liked the set up for a future relationship with Ian, and that the agent is aware that she is being groomed to be a bargirl. The sex scene was also fine, but it definitely felt like ground that is well trodden at this point. I get that Crush doesn't want to rush things, but perhaps having it be Tid, or one of the bouncers, who wanted a fuck might have added a bit of variety. And again, no real agency for the player during the sex scene.

The Ian part was interesting but it was already well laid out from 2 episodes ago that she knew they planned on making her a bargirl. The episode was "fine" but definitely weaker than past ones. Maybe it was just because it was short.
