The plan is to update 1.11 at some point to add a life story to the game, but the priority remains on getting the game to the main quest in Bangkok (with some detours into side missions, but whatever). Don't count on seeing 1.11 updated in your lifetime, but your kids might see it if Crush has kids who can do it.

Great... Crush managed to find another useless thing to waste months (years?) of development on, only to finally figure out he have no idea what to do with it and then just drop it.
The test is done and reported back on. Crush is now working on the next part of the story - which may well include the results of that test.

He already wasted months on developing it... and just because tests were done it does not mean Crush will be satisfied with results and will not continue working on it. Or that it will not ultimately be abandoned or ignored.

I seem to remember Crush wasting a bunch of time on random encounters with the previous version off the game only to end up scrapping it. Hopefully it goes better this time. That said, the last thing the game needs is more complexity. Crush already takes months to push out a 99% text update with no choices that really matter.

Yup... that was his random NPC generator which was supposed to create "clients" for FA while working as a whore. So that each enounter could be "unique" experience.

And I'm not really sure he did scrapp that, I think he just put it on hold when he decided to started focusing on life path and character creator (which is since also put on hold).

He announced that he was writing the tests on April 24, released them on May 4th, reported back on May 5th. Hardly "months" wasted.

Your dates are accurate, but miss a couple key facts:
  1. March 30th was the last release and a self-admittedly short one.
  2. The short release required January 25th until March 30th to put together and drop.
  3. During the random encounter tests, no writing was done on the actual release.
  4. His last post, May 8th, mentions needing to turn the 'beat sheet' into actual writing.
So, in summation, we had a short release mid-April, and we're approaching mid-May and he hasn't actually begun putting together the next release. So we're looking at, *earliest* an early July release of 1.19, and if that happens, it's another short release.

This guy takes forever to write shit.

I remember back at my high school, there was an alternative learning program that allowed students to learn at a much faster pace because they could choose when to turn in assignments. Want to do an entire semester's worth of English in a few weeks? Finish and bring back your English homework every day, and you'll be done with it in no time. A few students would really take advantage of this and graduate an entire year or even more early. In reality, the program was mostly used by people who had trouble turning stuff in on time and who instead became super-seniors or never graduated at all. I feel like I unfortunately see the same phenomenon play out with these kinds of "developer works at their own pace" games a lot. And maybe it's not really their fault, there are all sorts of personal difficulties between real jobs, family obligations, mental health, burn-out, and so on, but it seems like a lot of people really struggle with consistently working on something when they can just tell themselves "I can do it later" and no consequences immediately result. Especially, it seems, for talented individuals for who have unique visions that require them to put more thought and effort into what they're doing, as opposed to just mindlessly shoving out more tired and repetitive bullshit like most everyone else.

Wow! You are just now discovering that Crush takes forever to write?

My advice is that you cancel your Patreon donations to him and stay out of this thread except on the days of the vernal and autumnal equinoxes. That way, you'll see more progress between visits and won't be tempted to make posts stating an obvious fact that has already been stated 947 times in this thread.

He announced that he is working on it on April 24th... that does not mean he started working on it on April 24th!

I can see from your repeated posts here that you care a lot about this game, are monitoring its progress, and thinking about it.

I'm genuinely curious: what are you hoping to achieve by posting here?

I for one think that the vast majority of people who post on this forum (not on this thread specifically) it's all about venting. Unfortunately it's a known formula on the internet, people are much more at ease to pick up their pitchforks and torches and yell their outrage.

At this point... nothing really, because I know that nothing anyone say will matter or that any criticism will have any effect on Crush.

Crush will not listen to any suggestion or explanation that goes against his mindset and will only accept mindless praise... which is pretty much what he's getting on his Patreon page (and I'd assume his Discord channel). I still remember discussions about his random NPC generator where myself and several others tried to explain to him that his idea will only lead to pointless grind and Crush would respond that it wouldn't be grind because each scene would be different, completely missing (or more likely ignoring) point all of us were trying to make.
