That's, sadly, pure naivety. Supporters and collaborators aren't any better than the developers themselves at producing content. Especially content of good or even decent quality. Most will burn out very fast and then take months to actually admit/notify you they've lost interest and haven't done shit. If they don't just disappear altogether.
I don't mean things like doing the writing, I mean stuff like scraping images from Google, or doing basic playtesting, or even working on the UI if they have that kind of skill.

But yeah in terms of quality I wouldn't count on them, definitely.

Good morning guys! I’m currently building the storyboard in the game engine. This is the part where the visions and ideas become a working part of the game, so it’s really exciting to see it coming together.
There are 248 storyboard slides, and I wanted to get a significant chunk of that done last week. I worked Mon-Sat and was able to recreate 117 slides.
The storyboard is written to a rough first draft standard, so when I’m doing this I make improvements where I can. (Little changes to dialogue and characterisation can make a big difference here.) I’ve been able to incorporate some of the contributor feedback on the storyboard, and also deviate from the plan in one or two places to make it hotter.
I took yesterday off to recharge, and now I’m right back to it! I’m now working on the most challenging & hottest part of the storyboard. I’ll do my best, and report progress next week.

Thought.. Since Connor seems to be a huge part ofnthe story. Then why not let us choose whether he should be male or female ?

And? It took him 1 week to conversion 117 slides... 117x2=234.. one more week is the rest provided it's at the same rate. That is June 19th. With then 11 more days to conversion if he's behind... or if there are setbacks... Also again although not "technically" a June update, an update released July 6th, wouldn't be so egregious either, and is still well on track for 2 more additional updates this year. But we can stop talking about it and just see. It's not like crush gave a JUNE update schedule, that was just me doing some basic math based on some info. It could be a soon update given the info, whether it is obviously depends on a lot of factors.

Not sure why it took him 1 month 2 weeks to convert his earlier update slides, but probably it has a lot to do with where we are in the story, certain aspects of a story are set ups which tend to take longer than pay offs, i guess? since they are crucial points in a story, if you don't set it up right you affect tons of stuff later down the road. But it could also be there were warning signs of potential issues on that previous update, whereas so far there's been few to no warning signs on this update. Other issues could be that the previous update was less planned overall, whereas this update was more fleshed out in advanced, less on the fly writing means faster productions.

Also, he was well within his timeline back then... Jan 23rd to March 30th is 3 months. And now March 30th to June 30th is 3 months, there likely wont be problems because his timeline for updates seems to be 3 months. You kind of proved my point here. If the update is delayed by weeks, and it becomes 4 months, now he's breaking the update pattern I predicted. The whole update pattern I listed for crush is 3 month intervals, which is why 4 updates fit in 1 year.

Could he probably do an update every month and a half? yeah probably. But only a workaholic would do that. Frankly, I don't want him to burn out, and prefer he even has a week off, as long as he keeps to a 3 month consistent update schedule.
I'm always amazed by your mental gymnastics (genuinely), I remember them even when you posted with your older account. Not complaining or anything, I'm honestly glad I can see this kind of thing out in the wild.

I find the game pretty amazing, I played one of the very first versions years ago, and I'm pretty impressed by how far it has come.
Story and writing wise, it was always pretty good, but playing that last version I got totally engrossed in the story.

Few things as feedback :
- the fucking CIA acting like using sex in spying is a somehow exceptional thing, or that they feel extremely hesitant about it feel ridiculous. Im honestly surprised you end up almost doing it behind their back instead of them pressuring you into it. Feel very unrealistic, and just slow the plot needlessly imo. I still want porn in my porn game. Although I will say the progressive nature of the corruption is also kinda good, superior bitching about getting great info through sexual means just feels wrong. Intelligence agencies are up to the most ridiculously vile shit in real life, I dont think theyd bat an eye.

- scattering a few more sex scenes would be good. Building up various sex skills and debasing yourself for extra infos should be more present. I want my agent to work on her BJs, her gag reflex and her anal capacity (and the stats giving you access to different people to get info from mb).

- I vaguely recall some hypno content, did that entirely disappear ?

But again, congrats to the dev, very well written, great theme, great game

I'm all for positivity, and I hope for it, since negativity actually can cause unfavorable things to happen. Let's reconvene at 2024 and see what happens. Until then, I remain on the watch for what I was looking for.

Any form of power imbalance/coercion is not consent though. So like 90% of games on this site would be off patreon if patreon was doing a proper job with consent. lol. Also hypno content is about as real as star knightess fantasy world and changing the brain of someone. Yet aura-dev is on patreon just fine. Weird pick and choosing going on with patreon here.

Refresher on consent. If someone says 'lets have sex' and the response is no, maybe, change of subject, silence, the person is passed out, intoxicated, under-age, you are their teacher or boss, anything other than the woman shouting so the neighbours can hear, YES LETS FUCK. is not consent. If you have to beg, make a pro's and con list, offer bribes, money, favours, it's coerced and it's not actual consent. the only reason someone should have sex with you is because they want to and don't need to be told or convinced. This is why prostitution is sometimes frowned upon, because you can never be sure if the woman really wants to, or is just trying to pay bills.

Anyway so conclusion is patreon is a joke and doing a poor job with consent rules lol

I think only HFT games cares about this.
Patreon clearly doesn't care, IMO. Summertime Saga is very clearly about a high school kid getting his dick wet in a variety of questionable and relatively wholesome scenarios, it's been near the top for years, and it has made them shitloads of money. Even a cursory glance would see it taken down-they just don't want anything that would lure too much negative attention.

I don't think I agree? In terms of authenticity, there's arguably too much sex. In real life, an agent would have profoundly bad luck to be forced into sex on so many occasions. A professional, ambitious, trained agent's visceral enjoyment of all the harassment and rape would be unrealistic. Her willingness to cooperate so matter-of-factly with her rapists would be highly suspicious; she reacts like a paid professional, not like a backpacker. Female Agent's success comes from evoking a sense of authenticity, but it still gets away with a lot as a porn game.

Gritty/authentic espionage fiction is a huge genre, and I've read tons of it, as well as non-fiction accounts (e.g., Cold War). Agents seducing people is universally looked down on as a weak, ineffective, and unprofessional tactic (versus, e.g., blackmailing a target for something they're doing with a civilian, which is great). Maybe in the course of developing a single contact over a long period of time, but even then, it's viewed as a serious complication. Even James Bond is rarely/never asked directly to seduce anyone.

For example, it's hard to play Female Agent without thinking of the novel Red Sparrow, written by a real-life CIA operative and far more gritty than even the movie. In that story, a female agent is asked to use sex ... but only after being heavily trained for it, and she is judged and scorned every day by her own agency and even herself as not a real agent. And there is FAR less sex in that story (a story literally about an agent trained for sex) than in Female Agent, which is ostensibly just a story about an analyst with a nice chest being recruited to watch a bar.

In short, the idea that professional agencies are ordering their cute agents to sleep with everyone every day is pure Hollywood/porn.

Of course, Female Agent is literally marketed as porn. So while I don't agree that it needs more sex to be AUTHENTIC, I could understand that people here for porn would want even more (and I think that's on the way?). But even then, I suggest/request that the devs keep Female Agent's bosses/co-workers prudish/professional: it's been a terrific way to ramp up the tension and extend/deepen the corruption arc. I am not sure if I'm looking forward to or dreading the day when we start seeing how the rest of the agency reacts to her videos/photos; having them act too matter-of-fact about would be unrealistic, but so would them openly treating her like a whore, given that she was sanctioned. It will need to be a very fine line of acting professional about it but maybe subconsciously judging her for it, like how Hollywood actors can get themselves typecast after doing too extreme a role.

Great post. There are other books to support your disagreement as well, for example Sexpionage by David Lewis.

As for being sanctioned or slut-shamed, a dialog from the old version actually has one of her superiors say something to the effect that she'll be station manager by 30 if she does this mission. Which is ludicrous of course.. Both the mission premise in the first place, and the idea she'd be highly respected in intelligence circles after fucking upwards of 100 pudgy tourists ("and that's if we're lucky", again, semi-quote from the old version), until she randomly falls onto one-testicled-man's cock...

I actually think it was a plotting mistake to have her placed in the position of being basically a prostitute from the get-go, but that's probably just me. In any case, I really hope Crush has refined the planned road-map somewhat since the first version, because I'm firmly in the camp that would prefer a semblance of realism with a capable protagonist. Not just the debasement-carousel I see many people ask for.

Agreed. The game is entering very unappealing waters for me. I'm interested in the White Russian storyline, wanna see the MC hook up with Ian but the bar girl thing? Big fat meh.

Removed to comply with patreon's stance on non-consensual content, if I remember correctly
Not necessarily... Patreon's stance probably just made the decision to remove it completely that much easier.

That said, hypno content wasn't there in the begining and was added in 1.3.1 version because someone told Crush it would be "cool" to have it (or something like that) and Crush went along. But it was also one of the most complained piece of early content with a lot of people asking (demanding) it to be optional. So it was made optional in 1.3.6 version and then it was more or less forgotten since no new content used it or even mentioned it. Basically, the whole hypno content was limited to a very short set of scenes during innitial orientation before going to any training mission with maybe one or two uses later on where you didn't get multiple options on what to wear due to it...

It wasn't present during Lifepath rework since we never got to college let alone being hired by intelligence agency, and once we got to current build it was left out along with pretty much all of orientation scenes in Scotland (Operation Lioness)

I don't normally like text-based games or HTLM, but I tried it and it's hard to get it out of my head. I don't know what it will have, but the graphics aren't and the scenes aren't incredible, maybe that's it, that it's very realistic and that's why I can't get it out of my head. I congratulate the author or authors.

Hi guys! This episode has one major set piece sex scene. It’s a new scenario for Kate, and a big, big step towards becoming a bargirl, so it’s very important to get it right.
I was pleased with the basic structure of the scene – it’s so fucking hot – but the execution needed some reworking.

So that’s what I’ve been doing: taking a fresh pass and really challenging myself to write something that’s sexy, but in a way that feels real.
I was hoping this would just kind of fly together, but in the end it took lots of writing and rewriting to make the pacing feel right, the characters feel believable, and the descriptions of the action feel vivid and sexy.
The result was that just a few storyboard slides ended up taking a lot of time and work to implement.
Not everything goes smoothly! But the scene's nearly done, and it's way hotter than it was on the storyboard. I'll finish it this week, and move onto the rest of the episode, which will go faster because it's more straightforward.
I'll do as much as I can, and report progress next week.

this false moral of patreon is killing any creativity. if money was coming through patreon nabokov would never made lolita, jodie foster's accused - strong story of rape would not be filmed, neither law & order: svu.
should next victim would be blackmail theme, prostitution...?
meanwhile there is whole bunch of incest games where mothers and sons are having sex. it is enough to write they are landlady and tennant and to write that boy is 18+ no matter he can't reach mommys tits without climbing on the bench. but many of them are big money.
greedy biggots.
