What is that? I must have missed that part?
After recruitment she goes to Malaysia for a while (potential Max Secondary Mission), is that what you refer to?
That also seems to be a slight diversion so I do not know if I'll do that part initially. I might focus on Primary Mission only.
In the earlier build of the game (the one before gfx got overhaul) the training included a fake "spy mission" you had to carry out as your final test. You can check it out if you play the . I think it was part of v 1.6.3 if you successfully passed all checks in the field agent training course.

A question to all of you that have played this:
Are all the make-up choices, clothing choices etc essential?
Or would it have been just fine (like other VNs) that the "author" decides what she wears before each activity (or limited user based choices)?

What I would like to know is if it is a deal breaker or not.
It would be fine without the character customisation, but I wouldn't enjoy it as much. It should obviously be a lower priority than writing.

Previous versions of the game featured extensive mission training/briefing in Scotland including behavioural hypnotherapy (controversial), development of fake social media profiles for cover and local seduction missions, all geared to preparing Kate for the Bangkok field mission. This was all cut and replaced with essentially nothing. In my opinion, the mission prep in Scotland should have been expanded. It is far more important in the context of a spy story than the extended lifepath drivel that Crush obsesses over.

I agree the Max mission is essentially filler, but it does have some spy elements so you might want to leave it in. The Bangkok parts though are full of irrelevant diversions (abandoned tower, Russian date, food descriptions, sightseeing etc) that could and should be cut.

This isn't a bad thing in and of itself and could be a nice addition with side quests that expand the narrative.
The problem is that there is no development of the main quest, so the secondary quests look tedious.

More than that, the secondary quests were done specifically so Crush could avoid progressing the plot. Everything Crush does it to avoid advancing the plot. I believe he has literally no idea what to do after Kate becomes a bargirl and he's fighting desperately to avoid revealing that.

Since nobody has beaten me to it, Crush's latest update

***

Hey guys! Previous feedback from testers was that I'd cut too much smut out of the Lifepath – they liked a lot of things about it (like the pace, and some RPG mechanics like the character sheet), but they thought it could stand some more sexiness.

This week I wrote two new sex scenes, in the game engine, and put them out to testers (last night). The feedback on them was generally good (several testers said the new scenes are hot), with some really thought-provoking observations about pacing and characterisation.

I spent today tweaking and changing one of the scenes in response to the feedback. I haven't finished it yet (and it's 5PM, it needs a few more hours work), but I'm tentatively very excited about the changes.

It's hard to explain without spoilers, but if this new approach works it will make the whole Lifepath sexier and a bit zingier and more fun to play and replay.

I worked for the last 7 days straight on this and I'm frazzled
so I'll take a break from it now and get back to it first thing tomorrow, with a fresh brain and a fresh pot of coffee

I suspect it's less that he doesn't have an idea what to do, as not having ideas for enough of a filler between "Kate starts fucking clients" and "Kate finds out a client she's fucking is the target, game over, you win".

Two years of zero updates is OK

The problem is that after two years of zero updates he will release ONLY PROLOGUE

All this game is a perfect example for me how you can scam people with social engineering skills

Crush is fucking genius
Is it really genius when it's basically the same thing Summertime Saga has pulled off already? :sneaky:

(two years of no updates, then release "tech update" stripped from all previous content but half of a single route. Spend next 1-3 years re-implementing the content that was removed)

I never really got on with Discord because I felt like every Discord I joined had become a Parasocial cult of the person running the show. I think the porn game scene is a real case in point as it is astonishing what people will put up with and continue to hand people money.

At this point, Crush must have coaxed hundreds out of some of his followers and for nothing but a jerk-off game that you can play through in an hour. If you saw this game on Steam and it was finished and it was retailing for $100 you wouldn't think it was a good deal and yet some people will have handed that money to Crush in the time since he last put out an update of a game that was struggling to reach the end of its first act. Madness.

9.99 if finished in current form
19.99 if it is heavy illustrated (currently there is no a single sex scene illustration!)

Unbelievable that after 2 years of no content the Patreon is still pulling over 7000 dollars a month. With the Moolah like that I'd also be delaying this game and milking people for as much as possible. The backers don't understand that at this point, continuing giving them more money will just enable the cycle of complacency. This is, for all intents and purposes, a 6 figure income.

I used to call this the Yandere Simulator of H-games. But the fact of the matter is that the development cycle of this game unironically makes Yandere Simulator look competent. Yandev got vastly more content done in two years than the devs of this game had, and on one-fifth the Patreon income too. Female Agent is quite truly the peak of western game development.

I have checked the previous training mission now, and also checked the Max side mission.

They are in essence exactly the same as the main mission, just shorter:
Kate needs to solve a quest/mission/task. She might need to use sex. A camera gets involved and she realizes she will be nude in front of superiors/others. In Scotland, it is a "safe house" full of cameras and microphones. In Max, she infects his phone and then he uses it to capture images of them having sex. In the main mission it is the cameras in Hard cock café.

To me, that totally defeats the main mission. The main mission needs Kate to be a "normal" person that is gradually slipping slowly into debauchery. If she has already done everything or if she was a exhibitionist who loves being nude in front of a camera, a honeypot, then the mission wouldn't even be an issue. Just straight into bargirl/prostitution until Devilfish arrives. Done.

And that is not the Kate I want.
I do not know how to include Scotland and Max in a way to not spoil everything else. Making those two missions end up with "personal pictures" (i.e. they are not sent back to operations) could be an idea if people still want sex scenes.

Ideas?

The "straight into bargirl/prostitution" was how the game was supposed to be initially. That's why Kate's ability to put up with such "lifestyle" is tested in the previous prologue. She was expected to establish herself as a freelance prostitute (due to lack of money) after arriving to Bangkok and eventually make her way to the cafe under that cover.

So yeah, that was purged when the plans for the game changed to the usual "corruption" bullshit. For this approach the early tests are obviously not compatible and that's why they were removed.

Although i'd note that Max side-mission is hardly incompatible with the (new) main premise. It's an early opportunity for Kate to test/push her limits -- she may very well start it with intention of not doing any sex and pull out early if she discovers it to be too much for her. Or have her first realization that sex is just sex at the end of the day and not something that has to be avoided at all cost.

Ah. That makes sense. I didn't play the earlier versions so to me it's a slow corruption game but I understand then why those exist. They are however very difficult to join with the current main mission without destroying the suspense.

Yes, the Max side quest could be fitted if some parts of it was to be removed. She wouldn't let him take a lot of nude photos of her in VERY graphical positions; that is not consistent with her backstory thus far. In her stress she might take a selfie (to disguise the hacking) topless (and only afterwards realize what she has done, that the pictures will be uploaded). But more than that? I doubt it. She might however have sex with him, that is another story. She is not a virgin after all.
