Look, let's all be honest with each other. The pros and cons of both Patreon and Crush can be debated for hours on end without any real result or difference of opinions being reached.

But let's also be completely honest and admit flat out that something major has to be added to the game in regards to the story content at some point. And for a lot of us (like myself) it is that lack of story content that is pushing us away from not only supporting the game in general, but actually being able to enjoy the game overall.

If Crush wants to 'tweak" the intro, fine. It is, after all, his game and not my/your own. However, CONTENT should be considered into that option. After this amount of time, "content" isn't just adding another single hair style or nose type but something far more substantial such as having interactive relationships growing up. (Example is how a one-night stand option may progress. Say, as a simple option, you start off with a BJ option that you can either continue or move to something else. If you keep sucking, then the one-night stand will result in an "oral only" result and impact results. But at least you (the player) add the CONTENT to play though). Also, the story needs to progress in general at a point in time. And for most people, that point in time has LONG PASSED without anything being said or done other than a quick glance at the changelog and not seeing any evidence of story progression.

Crush has a very interesting concept of a game, and a really well thought out presentation. But it is LACKING CONTENT. And no matter how pretty and bright a turd of content is put forth, it is still a turd, until substantial changes are made.

Coding a linear game/story is from a programming perspective fairly simple and requires only basic hobbyist level knowledge. The Bangkok portion of this game though is supposed to be a dynamic story driven open world game. To do this properly would require much more advance skills.

It's possible that they simply lack the skills needed to create the Bangkok game play that they had envisioned/promised and when faced with this seemingly impossible task they go back and work over the parts they do understand. It's also possible that they been using this time to learn and improve their skills so they can make it.

If they don't have the skill to make the open world game they wanted then they should just stick with the linear storytelling they've been doing so far as they clearly have a talent for it. Alternately they could do the pseudo open world thing where players chose what location to go to but just have a fixed set of interactions to do at each location with the occasional random event. Sure people might be disappointed but not as much as if they never get to Bangkok.

Now this is just guess work on my part but I think it fits with how things have been going so far.

Maybe I am gullible, easily fooled, sheltered, etc. But I don't think he's a con artist and deliberately trying to milk his paying customers.

I think it's a case of him just becoming overwhelmed by this project and having little idea how to proceed. I mean, if he is this concerned with changing every little detail about a pretty linear prologue, I can't imagine all the ideas swimming around in his head when the Bangkok missions start. He needs someone to get him focused on what he wants to happen and then help him execute that plan.

Otherwise, I think he will be constantly trying this and that and not ever making any sort of meaningful forward progress.

There are many reasons crush wanted to work on the back end. The most notable being that if you write tons of story then later work on the back end, you have to go through ALL that story you wrote and make changes, which is a shit ton of work. VS having very little story written so when you work on the back end the changes are faster to apply to the story.
Problem is, Crush keep working on character creation with all those various skills without any idea how those skills will be used during actual gameplay. So far, the only time and of the skills is used is to see if she made valedictorian, get into Ivy League college and can join cheeerleder sqaud. All of which is part of character creation! Meaning that at this point there is NO STORY whatsoever that uses character creation, which makes testing it practically impossible...

So once he finish working on character creation and start working on actual story he will inevitably find out that some of the stuff he made can't work or won't work as he intended, so he'll need to go back and rework character creation once again...

I think that, if you read his posts on Patreon, you will discover that this is pretty much true. Those claiming he is a con artist really can only do so in ignorance, because we've been able to see what Crush has been working on.

I think that the problem Crush has had is the "infinite time problem.' He feels emotionally that he will spend, essentially, infinite time on the game as necessary to make it perfect, and so he is unwilling to allow something to pass when he could make it better. But games, like art, or book writing, are never finished, just abandoned in some state of completeness. Crush needs to understand that time spent making 5% of the game 100% better is time he will never get to spend making the 95% of the game 20% better.

It is, of course, easier to call someone a con artist than to try to understand their situation. For some people, making even unwarranted judgements is what makes them feel virtuous.

more than half the people complaining about him either are or were giving him money at one point, they know full well what he's been "working" on

No, those of us who read his posts on Patreon have been able to see what Crush claims to be working on, but there is no way of knowing if he really is working on it. Or working on it as much as he claim he does... maybe he does and maybe he doesn't. And I'm honestly not certain which of those two options would be worse.

In any case, considering how little progress was made over last year, I feel that there is a reason to at very least suspect truthfulness of Crush's claims...

There's BEEN progress, as you would know if you'd been following the postings. The problem is that the progress is in all the wrong things, like clothing, and making the paper doll look better, and being able to turn the paper doll around, and making the ear better looking, and on and on. Stuff that added little value to the game, but fed Crush's desire to "make progress." At least the light has come on now, so we'll see if things get better.

Sure, I suppose that he could have faked all of that, but faking it would have taken as much work as doing it.

Yes, there have been some progress (I did say "little progress" in my post), but almost none of the things you just mentioned is done by Crush! They are done by someone else (in case of visuals it's by an illustrator named Victoria). Even in one of his last posts he talks about "cool new technical feature" that was done by "Lara and Mihail"... which begs the question of what was Crush working on doing during all those months. He keeps talking about him working hard, but we don't see results of all that work... all we get is what other people have done.

Just for fun and to try to steer the conversation away from the obvious, let's say Crush was working on some new mechanic (no Bangkok, just some pure gameplay mechanic for what currently is there in the game). What kind of change would truly surprise you (in a good way)?

So the last update now gives peeks into the hypnosis sessions. The last one in the game shows her bra off, shirt up, and totally bottomless during the sessions. So she's officially being stripped naked for the sessions. Anyone STILL doubting my theory that the base people are raping her during these sessions and are mentally conditioning her to be an exhibitionist cum dump for them to enjoy? And that will likely only get more clear from here. Hell, at this point I wouldn't be surprised to learn the anti terrorism brothel thing is just a cover, designed to train her sexual aspects more.

Wonder if it will hit a point where the conditioning makes her walk around the base topless or nude? The skirts she wears on base are only getting shorter, it's reasonable to think that eventually the skirts and other clothes will just being left OFF. God that will be hot... FYI, exhibitionism is what brought me to this game, read it had a clothing system. Was disappointed that I couldn't make her nude... At first. The hypno rape triggered one of my OTHER fetishes though, and I was officially on board.

Ability to make her topless or nude when choosing outfits, and somehow have it reflected in the story and dialogue in a realistic way. I want more exhibitionism!

Considering the hypno can be completely disabled, I'm pretty sure it's not the main component of the game. But everyone can have their own headcanon I guess.

Well, don't know if everyone is raping her during those sessions, but I wouldn't doubt the doctor hypnotizing her is definitely molesting her.

While I wouldn't mind expanding that scene, I still wish more emphasis would be put on what comes after her training is complete.

You don't NEED hypno to corrpt a woman into a human toilet, that just spees up the process. It could still be the golal, with or without hypno.

Anyway to trigger the greyed out "You're Ukrainian?" option when testing the Dubai scene? Tried with an analyst, older, PC and nothing happened. Is there any actual content there?

I can attest to the earlier point. I started out with a linear game which then developed into an open-world one. My game wasn't as big as FA's was when I started out developing the new system, so the complexity could be multiplied by many times for FA.

One extra detail. Eventually, anyone can code an open-world system that works. But, it working isn't enough. If you don't make a robust one that is flexible enough for extra features like an events system, hell even a combat system to fight the mafia in Bangkok, you will end up wasting a ton more time and too often the developer needs to rewrite the open-world system from scratch.

The "corruption" spat became off-topic (hint hint), but consider:

Corruption or more widely known by the Japanese as akuochi(悪堕ち) is defined as a condition where a heroine betrays her friends and switches to enemies side by the mean of brainwashing(洗脳), training(調教), or etc.

The word akuochi(悪堕ち) itself is made up of two words: 悪 which mean evil and 堕ち which mean to fall down, so together akuochi literally mean to fall down into the evil path. Even though the situations of 悪堕ち have been around for a very long time, the term itself was believed to be used for the first time in 2002.
So, it's all of the above and the tag applies.

I would like to see something like I suggested earlier in the "intro" section for relationships. A one-night stand where you can start off with a simple BJ and by the way you click, or options presented, you end up with a one-night stand that was only BJ (which impacts stats) or maybe anal (again stats) or exposure to rough/older/exhibit traits. If it is a mechanic in the game, then at least that would would actually be a very huge improvement overall.

Sure, I suppose that he could have faked all of that, but faking it would have taken as much work as doing it.
I am not saying that Crush is faking it, and I am not trying to be passive-aggressive, but just for the sake of popping your bubbles a little more than Ripe already did, faking it definitely does not take that much effort.

I could come up with 1-page report on what I did this week with detailed schedule and contents in less than an hour without doing any of them. All I have to do is work just for a few days right before the due date, and tell people that despite the lack of result, well, I worked hard! I could keep doing it, and when things get a little fishy fishy, simply spice things up a little with tears on my cheek along with a comment that things are not going my way, again, despite my effort, and that my self-esteem is getting low, things are rough, etc... You know, appeal to their compassion to gain credibility by "opening up". This is pretty much what all clever procrastinators do. To say that this is a hard thing to do is straight up being naïve.

I've been there. I've grown up under rich, but extremely strict and demanding parents, and I faked a lot of things throughout my teenage years. I used to make reports of what I studied by specifically recording detailed pages and the name of some random chapters and equations on my textbook to demonstrate my studying effort. My favorite part was shedding tears while "opening up" that I hate myself because I feel so dumb getting B+ even though I did nothing but study soo haard. That would always catch them by surprise and get me out of trouble for a while. In real, I was almost living in Karaoke, Billards and PC Cafe after school. How did I get B+? I merely crammed for a week before the exam.

Anyways, I personally do trust Crush, but not because of his weekly reports (which are, let's face it, more like personal diary than meaningful developer diary) and diligent community communication. Remember, this is sort of things that PR/community managers do. You don't need an effort or knowledge of a developer to do it. You are familiar with the infamous meme "we have our best men working on it", right? No. I trust him because the contents already out there and his writing styles in the game actually reflect his obsessive personality: Obsession to write every sentences into perfection, obsession to make a flawlessly flowing plot and coming up with game progression so orderly structured that Germans would get jealous.
