I noticed a lot of attention is being placed on the avatar, instead of coding or writing, or editing.

Look, I get it. This is Crush's game and all. But seriously, is the "Avatar issue" really THAT important at this point? Haven't we seen enough evidence through prior releases that the Avatar is basically pointless as the majority of the time it is simply there doing NOTHING worth notice? I get it, he wants an avatar on screen. But come on, this is supposed to be an avatar that represents the player. Shouldn't it do something as basic as "assume the position" of whatever act that I am involved with? Just how many times do we have to sit there looking at the avatar in the same pose, often with the same clothes, doing nothing but the occasional "dress-up doll" changes and nothing else?

Ah, so the avatar goes 'nude' when sexual content is going on, and has some odd facial expression take place. But can the avatar at LEAST represent being on my knees, or back, or hands and knees AS WELL?

ARGH! God-damn-it! Crush posts some comment about focusing on the avatar and instantly suckers me into pointing out just how flawed the avatar-system is and why it should have no impact whatsoever on production schedule when you have weeks/months between updates.

Avatar is one of his Achilles heels so to speak. Very easy to fall into the trap you outlined with ‘extra’s’, and it never helped with 1.6.3 where he just kept adding cool effects. One of those horrible design decisions, how far do you go with the visual novel aspect as the more avatar interaction the more you are heading towards visual sex scenes. Or you just leave it for dress up, and head shots (expressions).

You have to wonder how much faster the dev's progress starts moving if someone decides to do a competent 'fan' remake of this game with actual progress and starts swooping up all the Patreons he's milking. Seems like some easy money, provided you have the ability.

Funny thing about it, I still like the old avatar system better.

With the new one, everyone is the same shape. I don't know why a system exists under such restrictions.

What like with imperium? Lol

I'd actually love to see a real porn version of this game but I doubt it'll happen.

More or less. Doesn't even have to be real porn. Would just be interested to see what the result of a little competition would be.

But secret agent can be a porn actress, duh...

Being serious, as long as writing is good I don't mind a new only text or real porn or 2DCG or whateverCG clone.

Please no. I'm so tired of devs putting random porn images in their games, completely ruining my immersion. A porn actress will never be a secret agent.
Depends on the game. A good dev wouldn't use random images, they'd fit the scene and character. I think the visual element of an real actress and the right scene adds immersion. And besides. They are still actors right. It's kind of in the job to be someone you're not. Even in that industry =p

That's why I always believed in writing the scene no matter what. If you can't find an image to match the scene as it is written, then don't use an image at all.

Images should only 'enhance' the writing, not MANDATE it.

Last thing I want is someone to have a "perfect image", create an entire scene around that image, put it into the game, and then have to justify the use of that image later on because it just doesn't 'properly flow' with the rest of the project at all.

There hasn't been any new content for like a year, the fuckers are still re adding content that was previously removed for the sake of a shitty UI change no one asked for. It's such a disappointing joke.

I'm guessing it's because they have no plan in terms of writing out the rest of the plot...It's been a year and he still barely has any idea what to write. He's literally just spinning his wheels in mud.

Well, to be honest, I kind of feel like we will get one or two updates involving Bangkok JUST to say he included Bangkok .....

And then BANG, yet another 'start over' using a 'new format' because the old format was 'hard to code and use the avatar'. Basically starting the whole thing from scratch with already used content.

"This was a fantastic experiment: We saw the heroine get to Bangkok and perform her first mission! It was a great learning experience. One of the things we learned is [some bullshit]. To tackle that issue, we will be rebuilding the entire game from scratch, do that I can implement my vision of Bangkok

Don't forget to update your credit card number, it may have expired in the time it took me to get to this point""

Avatar is crucial for this prologue of game. This eye candy attracts new and unaware audience, remove it and milk cow will suffocate in few months.

It's pretty simple: it's the perfect excuse for him to keep postponing and postponing and postponing again. I still recall the avatar from 1.6.3: it was perfectly FINE, it was a really nice addition that didn't need more attention.
More attention should be instead be given to writing and keeping the game as much variable as possible. But it should be clear by now that building a good game it's not the objective of this guy.
The irony is that some time ago (a year or more, lol I'm not even sure) when he decided to remake the game as basic as possible (cutting off like 70% of what was the 1.6.3) the MAIN reason was the slow development (ahahahahh) and he promised the new avatar would make things sooo much quicker and easier. Now guess what really happened.
PS: sorry I just wrote it would be better to ignore this game and I wrote a WOT :D, I'll do it now
