Just checked his Patreon and he said this in the FAQ:

A user called Henlo tinkered a little workaround for the Index. You should overwrite the bindings_knuckles.json in the main folder of FeralIsland with the file in

link. The file removes the grip references to fix movement issue.

If the key bindings of Henlo do not work you can try adding this version by Noxy:

I'm downloading it, because it has ferals, feral sex and NO VIOLENCE/RAPE. I really, really have been waiting so long for consensual, peaceful sex between four-legged creatures. I'd love to see some mammal-like creatures at some point, especially hooved ones, but for now, I'm curious
