Goddamn Patreon! How I loathe them
yeah...it's rough. I sometimes wonder about how difficult it would be to setup one's own website for getting support instead of using Patreon. Not the technical part, which would be quite easy, but the payment processing portion...if the same rules apply when you directly use a credit card processor, etc.

... and more importantly, get people to trust you that this is not a scam (not in the sense of the game being but the website).

yep...that's always a thought when I submit sensitive details to a site like that. Very good point.

I'm a bit confused by the blackmail ban in general.

Blackmail is a pretty common plot element in, say, mystery novels and films. If a contemporary mystery writer was using Patreon, would the novel get cancelled?

I've seen video games based on classic mystery novels by Agatha Christie and others; would this be banned?

Is it strange that blackmail blocking does not apply to all games, or only to this one? For example, the game "moving down", apparently, does not fall under this wave, although it is straight hard blackmail. Then why haven't they covered it up until now?

yeah, my worry is if PayPal starts having or already has restrictions like that.
Apparently Paypal has a No payment policy for porn which adult games probably would fall under, so not a good option. PaymentCloud could work. As far as options for moving away from Patreon without making your own site there is of course SubscribeStar and Itch, but I'm surprised I haven't seen any developers use OnlyFans as it is technically for all content creators and is fairly adult content friendly (though maybe not friendly to all fetishes).

My guess is that Patreon usually keeps a blind eye to it. Hence why there are so many games using blackmail, rape, drugged sex (which would also be rape in real life) on the plataform.

So i bet some asshole made a denounce to patreon about it.

That's a very valid point. Bad things happen in stories all the time, need to happen becaue without bad guys the good guys wouldn't have anything to do and the book/movie would get boring if they just sat in their living room playing PS4 (even superheroes can't get a PS5) and downing a beer. And as stated, blackmailing in some way often plays a part in it.

So it cannot be blackmail alone. I have two possible theories, only on could apply here.

One is showing blackmail (a crime) as positive. So a game where you hold critical info or whatever and have fun could be out. But this is not the case here, we're working against blackmail.

So it probably is the combo blackmail/porn. Being forced to engage in sexual activity amounts to rape, so that might just be what they're after.

Of course what was said inbetween also is correct: if Patreon doesn't know, they will not block.

Oh, I looked that before but I'm playing on Android and there is no option for that there, only a full 1.2gb game.
You should add that when asking. I don‘t know if somebody made an android version with the gallery unlocked. Search the thread for posts by the66 if someone made an android port with the gallery unlocked it would be him. Not sure if he did though.

That's my guess as well. Especially since it coincidentally happened JUST AFTER the reveal about who was behind the Fetish Locator app. Some asshole didn't like it and decided to pretend as a CRUSADER to "Teach those Devs a Lesson." Of course, the only lesson taught was that some players can be complete assholes and that developers have to be ready to waste weeks rewriting ~3 years of content because of the morality whims of Patreon.
