Incidentally, the MC being caged doesn't jive at all with how I've been playing the story either (and—not having played this version—I think the MC agreeing to it will be hard to justify within the narrative logic; the app doesn't really have anything very damaging on him as far as I remember).
But that's OK, just means I'll skip a few updates to see how it shakes out before deciding on playing further, which I'd probably have done anyway so no biggie.

The cage is weird but its looking like it will only be on for 2 days. I can live with that. At least i hope so with how the dialog is going...and the NTR thing...eh i just picked the LC option instead. The "mc's thoughts on the cage" made it weird for me though. The reference to how some movie had the last portion of it cut to make it appeal more to a wider audience but ruining the author's vision in the end.... I really hope that doesn't mean you get a less complete story or less will be be put into the LC path because its not the author's vision....That would suck....immensely.

Well the walkthrought isn't very descriptive of what happens if you pick it, although there are some scene changes depending on stuff. It just says that the path is more "darker" and the MC "might get betrayed", I dunno by whom and whether this means him getting cucked.
The whole "movie" comparison is just pure bull. Saying that "I don't wanna do this, but you're forcing me" is such a shit excuse. if the lets say majority want LC path and are paying for it, then how did you let it get this way? Wouldn't that just interfere with your "vision" in the first place anyway, by creating that path if it wasn't your intention?
As for scene changes, with LC and AmRose love, you get a bj from her and another one from Lydia (wow).Not sure about slave, but I believe Lydia doesn't join. If you pick the other cage however, with AmR love still just bj I think, but in the slave path Lydia takes her head and aggressively fucks her face with the MC's dick. Not sure how drastic will the scene changes be or will get

Yea, I was using the fan mod and it only said she is more aggressive for now, so I actually know about all that(i looked). I was more just worried about the spread of content between the paths later. But from written guide it does seem like the worst(getting cucked) is not a guarantee. Seems like her behavior will get increasingly volatile on that path...

Well a lot of people don't like Lydia anyway, but it doesn't explain or hint at what would happen to others, most importantly AmRose or Stacy. But judging by the "end credits" scene, Stacy seems least likely to go and do something against the mc lol

Eh, theres always a section of he crowd that just hates the default partner in these games(both male mc or female mc) simply because they are that. It doesnt matter what personality they have, its always something so that's not new. don't care about that. Besides that, I agree. I'm pretty sure Stacy wouldn't do anything to intentionally sabotage or cause misfortune for the MC...but who knows, maybe the darker narrative will call for unforeseen outcomes. After thinking about some more it might end up being a combination of choices that causes things to go south. Like the Pete choice or treating Amrose like shit.

Haven't had a good facepalming in what feels like hours, so I'll bite
a) if you fail you can retry, i. e. play parts of the game again
b) similarily you can get an additional challenge if you fail to get back on the "winning" path
c) failing or winning doesn't have much consequences except for one or two scenes and a slight change in some dialogue
d) failing leads to a game over (or, less likely, winning leads to an immediate "you win" happy ending)
But when, as here, major plot elements hinge on whether you win or lose, it has to be pre decided. If you had a real option, it would basically turn into two games with very different stories, meaning twice the story writing, twice the rendering, twice the amount of time needed for the same amount of content for the average player, also twice the disk space used.
That doesn't mean that a dev needs to include a "competition" like that, especially one that seems doable (though that adds to the suspense), it doesn't mean you have to be happy with the outcome, but facepalm everybody as much as you like, if you "cared to think" about how plot driven games work you would have known from the beginning that winning isn't really a probable outcome. Even big studios can't really do it differently, the Mass Effect example mentioned above is pretty spot on (especially because that scene also was annoying af), you might want to read up on it since probably you are too young to remember.

that's is probably the crux of the issue ... it is not a game ... its is "a story-driven Visual Novella" ... from the first sentence in the OP.
This means there is no winning / loosing, just different paths to the plotted conclusion; unfortunately, if the plotted paths are not to your liking you just have to live with it.
