You should had tried the Original Versions first, this is a Remake of the original, there's not such a thing as progress right now and what you can play are basically place holders that will eventually be combined in a full map, basically the dev is concentrating in making enemy assets, behavior and animations a few map designs, combat and abilities before moving to create the rest of the game around them.
It is alpha/pre alpha at the moment... It's basically a gallery showcasing the remaster, with some new features thrown in like the orgies. To compare this to finished/ almost finished games like SA and FOBS is ridiculous.

Yeah, I figured that would be the case. Animation is Zell's forte as far as I've been told, so the fact that they've made this much progress with the animation part is both impressive and to be expected. With that in mind, programming (again, as far as I've been told) is their piano, or their mezzo forte at best.

Thanks to xj47 making a tool 2 years ago and Yuki, a savior on the previous page, imparting the rest of us with that knowledge (as well as another anonymous user that told me in the comments of the new guide, no idea if it's the same or a different person), the guide will soon be much more fleshed out with proper names and possibly new methods. The latter part WILL take a lot of testing, so if y'all could help out in any way, it would be much appreciated. You can either add new methods in the guide (it's in suggestion mode so I can affirm how much the methods work myself), tell me in the comments of the guide, DM me through F95Zone, or just email me if you really feel like it. I can only imagine it's because Shiratane Tower is getting cameoed in FOBS, and if so, that's really cool on Zell's part.
His attention is currently split between this and SA2, so I think this game's progress will immediately accelerate after that game gets released.

Oh, okay then. If that's the case, then I would greatly appreciate your help on this in the future. (I probably don't even have to ask, but I may as well be polite instead of assuming-) I did not have the chance to experience the game in the past, so I don't have nearly as much experience with what's to be expected and just the general methods of finding some of the finer details of the game out.
Start with the A version, then go to the B version. The latest version is a complete remake being worked on (relatively) from the ground up, so it's very much unfinished in every way, though it's being updated roughly every month.
While the old game was decent at the moment, it didnt age well, most new Side-scrollers are better (succubus affection from same developer is a good example) and if this game wanted to keep developing it needed a change, also the old engine has a limit for use thats why the game was separated, something that now can be done in 1 game.
