I remember going through the trouble of seeking out and watching the entirety of the last airbender and besides for a few brief moments, I can't honestly say that it was worth the trouble of watching it. It's a strange show with equally strange following.
lol. And yet your first and only post on this forum is in an Avatar porn game thread. AtLA was a fun show and got better with season 2 and 3. The fact that 16 years after the show ended people are still talking about it definitely says something about it's reception and quality.

Hey, you gotta start somewhere right? Is this supposed to be a gotcha or something? I'm not saying the game is bad, I just downloaded it and started playing.

It's just a bit of a weird post if I'm being honest. With the two sentences in your first post you say nothing but how you disliked this 16 year old show and the fans of it...then show up in a parody sex game for it where it's mostly fans of the show. Please enjoy the game if you like it, I just think it's a bit of an odd introduction.

I really hope that Marty - after finishing work on the epilogue - will think about a remastered version and - what I hope for much more - will think about editing books 1 and 2 (he mentioned it in one of his posts on patreon). There is also a sample of an AI-based VO somewhere here - in this forum thread. Wouldn't it be great if someone made a full VO to FET based on this technology ? However - paradoxically, I am completely negative about creating content by AI based on real living people - IT WILL NOT LEAD TO ANYTHING GOOD !!

The AI voices thing was fun, and 11labs can do some pretty good stuff with their paid tiers, but like with anything else it takes time to learn to use and really get the inflections right. Here's a couple samples of what people have made with it that I've saved. The quality isn't the best and the voices aren't consistent, but they were all the free version of the AI from what I remember. I shouldn't have to say this, but these aren't safe for work:

And this one I made when I was messing around with audacity (zero experience going into it and messing around for about 6 hours to learn to use the software) and trying to use multiple voices. I think it turned out pretty good, but like I mentioned it was very hard to get the AI to use the right inflection and I probably had hundreds of takes just to get this:

Pretty good - only Toph's voice sucks balls.
But - as I wrote earlier - it won't bring anything good - for example for MITY and Marty - using someone else's voice is a bigger deal - it will only draw unnecessary attention to FET and could mean trouble, real trouble.

Perhaps the only relatively safe way is to add the entire audio content as files for self-editing - i.e. you download the FET, download the VO from somewhere and compile it yourself into a working whole.

i wouldn't play it voiced. it would have a negative impact on my gaming experience. i don't mind clicks and whatever small amount of scene AFX there is, but in most cases when i came across a voiced game, i didn't like the voices. it gets even worse when you click through something faster than the initial designed in-scene voice stream runs.. getting either out of sync, or skipping, or have completely unforeseen outcome.
also, most of the time the voices don't match, hrm, shall i say expectations.. no that's not the right word. but comes close. if that voiced person sounds different from what you'd hear without voicing. damn, lack of a term here. i do hope y'all get what i mean.

That's a completely different scenario though. These characters already have voices. It's based on a TV show. It's wouldn't be a case of voices 'not matching' what you perceive. We already know what they sound like. The problem here is weather not the voices match the ones from the show.

They've released a new budget Avatar game, with none the original cast. Some the voices are OK sound-alike's, some don't match at all. That would be the comparison here. I wouldn't mind if the game had voices, but getting them correct is going to be the biggest issue, especially if you're using A.I. because it's not consistent. Not playing a game because of vocies seems rather silly becuase there's usually an option to turn it off anyway.

Adding AI voices to the game is really something that should be done as a mod at most. Definitely not in the full release because that would probably push the legalities of the game into way dangerous territory.

11labs is overrated. There are voice to voice AIs that people with good computers can set up locally for free that I feel work much better because they copy the inflection of any audio files run through them.

I have RVC and So-Vits-SVC set up to use for various projects I work on and have a web series planned that I want to do with it in the future. Just as an example of what it can do, I'm attaching an audio file. In the Ship of Harkinian discord someone talked about possibly making a Toph mod for Ocarina of Time. I responded to them by offering to get some Toph audio made for them. This was the example audio I sent them.

Now if someone really does want to commit to a voice mod such as this, I just so happen to have a professional background. I used to work for a small studio where I wore many hats. Writing, casting, art, animation, and of course voice acting.
For privacy reasons I will not disclose the what and where. What I will say is I'm really good at copying inflections, which pairs really well with voice to voice AI.

I have voice models for Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Zuko, Suki, Azula, Mai, Ty Lee, Iroh, Ozai, Kyoshi, Chong the hippy, Azulon, Amon, Unalaq, and the Earth Queen.

While some of these characters weren't even in the show, they reused voice actors all the time so who says we can't do the same? Unalaq's voice could be used for maybe a random Fire Nation guard for example.

I could probably find some other voices if I searched other roles too. My Ozai is actually the Joker. I could probably find a good Daniel Dae Kim if I looked for one.

Now if someone did work with me on this it would take time out of my art commissions so I would have to do it in chunks and charge for it. I work pretty cheap though. We're probably talking like $30 for an entire scene. I'm not one of those Twitter VAs who try to charge a hundred bucks for a few lines of dialogue talking about their feet. If anyone is serious about doing that DM me or something and we can talk shit over.

Dagoth Ur did much to make elevenlabs popular. But it's the odd delivery of old game voice acting that made it seamless.

Personally, I'd be happy to pay - but let's face it - soon after the eventual release, all your work would be available for free and probably integrated and ready to use.

Anyway - what are we actually doing here ? If we wanted to spend money on FET or other projects - we would do it for patronage and it will not be an exaggeration that 99.99% of participants in this thread DO NOT SUPPORT FET financially...

If someone were to hire me to do voices for this they can do whatever the hell they want with the audio. They can share it around or whatever. I don't care. They wouldn't be paying for some special exclusive file. They'd be paying for the audio to be made. For it to exist in the first place. I can make it happen but I would need compensation for the time I'd have to take out of my art work. Simple as that.

I put together a proper showcase of some of the voices I have. I had a little fun making this sort of shitposty track. It's a full skit with the characters talking to each other and even includes a little music number lol.

Unfortunately - Toph still doesn't sound good.
Apparently Michaela Murphy is really hard to imitate

Jfc, this gets explained every other day. The story is finished yes. The game has been getting bimonthly updates that add new scenes to an epilogue. Slave route epilogue has just started.
