It only looks open I think. I was stuck there too. For the first time, keep turning it right , I think you should see the word click show up like 3-5 times, then the path actually opens up.

Yeah, only one route is made at a time. Slave route then Love route. I'm sure it would take a lot more time and there would be more bugs if they tried to work on 2 story lines at a time.
