Well there is a reason why the more complex games dont make it over(too slim a market for commercial companies,too much required reverse engineering and large scripts for most TL-groups).
Venus Blood Frontier was recently announced for a western release alas considering the subject matter of the series Im not sure it will do all that well(then again Rance did despite Alicesoft´s trademark rape fetish so who knows).
The western market doesnt really offer anything compareable(well I guess Sunrider kinda tried but fell flat on so...oh so many levels).
And hey,one can always go for another run of Big Bang Age =D (or for most people Sengoku Rance I suppose).

Sunrider's bend or break Korra game wasn't to bad. Not the best but not bad. Played it a few times to get a hang of it and it was surprisingly well thought out. I especially liked the dialogue where Tarlok argued that he and Korra are rather similar, and damn; did that hit home. I've never played his other games but I can say that I enjoyed this one. Despite their being no good endings. Only bad ones; sadly. Which is a small failing in and of itself.

Love Route
1st and 2nd one can be found in a chest in the dungeon.
one is given as reward by shady for founding him.
one can be found when searching the cothes of the inprisoned guards
and one was given by one of the saved girls if I am not mistaken

Now I'm at fire nation story. How to make Azula not mad? After the scene of the footjob, it seems I stucked with no proggress.

When in water tribe, I just need to hunt for made Katara calm, but in this arc, how to make azula calm down?

My stats, I already general. Azula Sluttiness already 7. My firebending stuck at 6 because she still mad. Any help anyone?

Yeah, I think they may have been pretty much identical, save for some minor differences like you said. Just thought I'd toss it out there, as I didn't remember too specifically.

I meant the ending that moves the story along, forcing you to go into the next book. Which is the one where you go with Mai.

Well actually all 3 routes transition into Book 3, so none of them are objectively "correct" in terms of advancing the story. If you choose to stay with Azula, you eventually go on a walk with her, she gets knocked out by the spirit, and you proceed to Book 3. If you choose to run away with Mai, you also go on a walk sooner or later, and the same thing happens to her, leading to Book 3. Even if you choose to leave both of them and run away, you'll eventually come back to the kingdom, and after a lot more events, go on a walk with Azula.










*ahem* However, the objectively correct ending for Book 2 is, and always will be, choosing Azula. The dialogue trumps everything by far, and ofc, Azula is best grill.

There are huge differences to be honest. If you pick Azula to be your lover, you basically give her the pants in the relationship. Considering she cuts off all over avenues for you to have sex with anyone else; except for her. But if you beat her and ascend to the throne; major differences is how she treats you as the king and defers to you. You can decide whether she is your equal or whatever floats your boat, either way she does what you tell her to do and is happy with her station in life. As it should be.


I especially love the level of detail that was put in to flesh out her character and get you to see parts of her that is vulnerable and someone who is starved for attention and love. Even when you figure why she treats you the way she does and why she is so jealous of you. Though is far to proud and arrogant to admit it. The people behind this game put in alot of love for each character and I hope they are able to do the same with the wind book.


I am especially fine with both the love and slave route and content with the tone that is being set in the story. It goes far yes, but not too far which is fine with me in all honesty.

Ah yes,the eternal hurdle of moonspeak.
It takes a certain mindset to make up for that through machine translations and pure horrid trial&error(which still wont get you far with some of the more complex games like the recent entries into the venus blood series).
Having said that,both JAST USA and Mangagamer keep trying to bring over more complex games(sadly JAST underperformed both times with Yumina the Ethereal and Seinarukana,Mangagamer is doing alright but only focuses on their partnership with Alicesoft which resulted in Rance 6,Evenicle and Beat Blades Haruka coming over,with retranslations of 7 and 8 in the pipes)so maybe look into that if you so desire.
First two Bunny Black games also got translations if I remember correctly.

You guys are gonna find me arguing about this until the end of time, but I firmly believe that VNs and just eroge in general will never take off in the US (or even the west, for that matter) as successfully as it has in Asian countries (particularly Japan). Of course it's our silly culture over here. I feel like the overreliance on Christian values and morals and all that shit has led the US to just generally fear nudity and eroticism in media and culture. Hell, you can't even show a vagina in most mature media, but words like "fuck" and intense gore are fine! I could go on and on about how we need a mini cultural-sexuality revolution of sorts over here in the States, but to cap it off: the sad truth is just that if you want the deeper, more developed, generally better VNs and eroge games, you're gonna have to learn another language or patiently wait for a translation.

"Huge" implied differences,yes,but I was talking about the actual execution of the ending(or to be more clear,an actually different scene).
From what I remember its pretty much the same(bar the already mentioned dialogue changes).
As far as the slave routes are concerned eh I found mindbreak to be a poor choice for book 2 since it outright derides the affected character of agency and personality.
Book 1 and 3 handled that better.
