Apologies if I don't believe you RealKorra, but it seems kinda weird that the artist told your "buddy" the timeline when they weren't willing to release it publicly. Also, weird for the artist to diss the coder/writer like that to a patron when they weren't willing to do it at all before.

While I do mostly agree and hate "Dude, trust me. My dad works for Nintendo" posts, the artist has put cbob out in Patreon posts before whenever there's a delay.

I suppose that's fair, but the extent they're implying is what I find doubtful.

Merry Christmas before we see update imo. Been the the way this and other games that are popular and seem to suffer delays often seem to work. I have no isider info and I don't have a specific reason for guessing Christmas either but that's what my gut tells me.

mini games are fine since it was part of the game to begin with rather cbob is the one who's literally stretching the deadlines.. let's just hope that it gets released this year :ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO:

i wholeheartly disagree. minigames almost never add anything to the game beyond forced time wasters. there were a few that were fun, but most of them not only werent fun, but were forced to be played multiple times.

my question is why? they already had a solid(albeit barebones) working combat in the first one. why not take that and build upon it? if the mini game is mandatory, at least offer options so people can pick and choose which to do instead of a literal "this gives more money and is as boring as the others".

what about minigames that lead into a porn scene that was actually good and not just a single tit flash

it's not really a waste of time if it has a scene after you accomplish it.. and it also adds to the content, a little grind wouldn't hurt

I mean he could but don't he need the code to put them in? If he does then giving the coder extra work while they finish what they got is a bad idea.

It depends.

If it is just changing the images to give more details there is probably no need to change any of the code. Not sure about Ren'py, but most programs keep the image files separate so you can just trade them for the new ones.

If it is just changing expressions with affection at points there are not specific images yet, there would be some extra work... but the artist do knows some Ren'py himself, as he does the Halloween Specials himself, so unless he goes too crazy he can just add some checks to use the new images at the right points.

The problem with the second one is... I do not know Ren'py myself, while I could try my hand at python as I know coding basics (and all languages use it, just expand on it, so studying them instead of just a specific language helps with all later) I can't say for sure how much Ren'py would limit someone, nor took a look into FET's code to see how much of a spaghetti it is, how hard would it be to mesh the changes to book 1/2 when cbob does finish the update to book 4?
