On the other hand if the protagonist does charity out of his heart and helps people in need, there might be a possibility he gets taken out by Lucien and his big goon should he delve deeper into their criminal activities, or perhaps his other associates will do that hit. He realized he could've died at that drug den when he went there with Risa (and Nicki later angrily reminded him of that once he was safely back at the studio).
Hm, it's a realistic possibility for a character in this kind of situation, but I think it would be a terrible ending for the protagonist in a VN and would just piss off and confuse players for no real gain in story or gameplay. I mean, if you were an author, would you tank your own game like that? I'm sure there will be differences in outcomes depending on how you play the MC, just nothing that self-defeating.

It does seem specific dark routes will be a notable exception, though. I guess that will ruin the power fantasy for some dark path enjoyers, but it feels right for the story as well as the MC's arc, and it maintains the believable and internally consistent setting that the author has established (besides just being what the author wants to write, of course). After all, even the most powerful abusers can eventually get caught, and Guy is no where near that level.

Although, I could be wrong, but I think the plan might be that you can get away with darker decisions, as long as you 'play it smart' and don't go too far. I mean, obviously there's a big differences between smacking Ashe around and assaulting Dash and leaving it at that, versus graping everything that walks. :p

Could also see an ending - probably on the dark path, but possibly on any path, where he ends up back at the convenience store till pondering the decisions he made.
