Hey hey, just a general FYI. Current 'finished' build is at 438 images, while the total images for the next installment is right around 500.
Also! I had my good friend and real-life inspiration for Viola record one of her signature lines, which I've attached as an MP3 below. I'd always kind of written off the idea of voicing the game because it'd be such a massive undertaking, given the amount of dialogue. But, I recently played Classy Lemon's
Projekt: Passion, and I really like how they handled the voices in that game, only using them for specific moments.
It's nothing I'm likely to implement anytime soon, but maybe once I'm ready to put the game on Steam or something, I'll implement it.
Does that mean you didn't know how to code / work with Daz3d or similar at all before you started working on TSL / FIN?
Correct! I had experience writing stories and doing traditional/2D art, but I'd never coded in Ren'py/Python or used Daz before. Which is why the code for FiN is.. Not great.
Still, this is also why I encourage everyone to go make their own games, even if they're text-only. If a dumb-dumb like me can figure it out, anyone can!
And as always, enormous thanks to
Pablo and
Horizontical for their help and guidance when I was first putting the game together.
