I might have lost scenes after using the unlocker? I can't seem to find a scene list to direct compare, but pepper has no listed scenes in the gallery after applying the the unlocker.

Supposed to put the file in the gallery folder, right?

I always choose the nice guy options.
And these beautiful angels have never tried to take advantage of me.
That just reaffirms my decision to help every single one of them.

Mark my words everyone I will help these sweethearts anyway I can.
And I'm not doing it for sex.

We need more dark options to exploit these girls using our financial prowess, bribe the authorities to look the other way or crush any attempt at dissent or resistance, and force these bitches to do all sort of unsavory things reluctantly.

This should be the way forward not some Mr Nice Guy Gay Ass shit.

We need support from suckers Good guy players too, and is more sweet to have the comparison between vanilla and dark chocolate path.

I feel kinda silly after the fact saying Risa was the wounded bird LI. They're all wounded birds to some extent. I was thinking Risa is going to be the biggest challenge considering the past + the personality issues + the drugs all wrapped into one. Maybe she should be, but, really, if you think about it, all the LIs are probably going to have long-term challenges for MC and themselves to navigate.

Nicki - attracts the wrong men who manipulate & abuse her. has a big love-shaped hole in her heart. will take a long time to heal I think.

Ashe - has deep guilt & shame over her friend's accident. that's probably never going to go away completely. also gets underestimated a lot probably (sounds like an airhead, etc.), but I feel like that first thing takes precedent.

Carolina - typical struggles of an overworked single mom w/ a deadbeat ex. tbh, despite this, she actually seems pretty well put-together and so maybe most of the pain will come from the fact that her daughter's father isn't around for Maya. in that case, we can come close to fixing it, but Maya will probably never get over that completely.

Madison - failing business, strained relationship w/ her daughter, and another deadbeat husband that has run-ins w/ the law. also internalizes any racial tension that her daughter receives (or at least perceives). that's all i know so far, but tbh this one seems like problems that can be fixed for the most part. depending on how close the father is to gabby and where he eventually ends up, Madison will also have that pain and stress to contend with.

Gabby - wallflower w/ racial undertones. had a racist pos bf that manipulated her and brought her deepest fears & vulnerabilities bubbling to the surface. possible our MC can repair that damage, but given the age gap, I'm not sure how Neon will decide to work it out in the end.

Mason - autistic, trans, distant bigoted father, (abuse-speckled) sex work, and homeless... this one's self-evident. we can fix the homelessness, but everything else is going to be life-long struggles.

Britanni - abusive mother who uses her as an income and willing to sell her to the highest bidder. step-father is/was inappropriate w/ her. potentially went further than that.. but given the nature of these games and their audiences, even if neon wanted to explore that, he probably axed it given the expected reaction, similar to how Nicky escaped the porn shoot unmolested. will probably be long-term damage control 'cause that shit sticks with you.

Viola - a sick (and potentially dying) mother and the resultant financial dire straits. add to that immigrant fleeing from conflict (implicit) and yeah... that's going to make for some emotional scarring.

Pepper - I don't think we know for sure yet, but probably physically abusive father. difficult background & poor. lots to be angry about. same story, long-term damage control methinks.

Alex - no idea yet. my curiosity is definitely piqued!

So, yeah... I think Neon has done a good job developing these characters' backgrounds because he's basically guaranteed that they'll all be big 'investments' for any partner, and that makes for the deepest and most compelling romance stories imo. It's not just Risa.
That was a great read.

Honestly, it's the girls that make this one of my favourite games.
I love all of them so much.
I just get this urge to help all of them no matter what.

I've checked the latest update on the evil/dark path and there's something I don't get. I thought Nikki left (because of all the abuse) but now, after the influencers encounter, in the shower (alone) the MC refers to Nikki as if she is still employed to him. Didn't she leave for good on the dark path (empty apartment) a couple of updates ago? Or am I missing something?

Then you really did something wrong,
If you really went down the dark path with her,
he says that she is completely gone, and thinks about everything he has done so far,
and the possible consequences thereof, and how he feels about it..

I have to say everyone if I was the MC and not Guy things would be a little different that's for sure.

Now I don't want NeonGhosts or anyone else to think I'm a spineless simp who would let the girls walk all over me.
I'm more an alpha simp really.

But I would definitely be even more caring to the girls then Guy when he is at his nicest.

Hey folks, sorry I haven't been around much. I fucked up my back moving a bunch of tile, and I've been sick. So, most of my energy has been spent struggling through my day job, and then collapsing into bed as soon as possible. Still updating in my usual places, if you're curious what's going on with the game, though! Recently released some 4K wallpapers for Britt, Gabby, and Ashe, and I'm running a poll to determine Gabby's outfit for the next chapter.

In some timelines, MC doesn't know Nicki left, yet. There's basically three ways that event can play out.
  • MC visited Nicki's apartment, and knows she's gone.
  • MC slept in the office, and Maya tipped him off that something's going on -- but he doesn't know what, yet.
  • MC slept at his place, and he's largely unaware that Nicki's left.
These will all be unified, and the fallout dealt with, in Chapter 10.

That said, it's always possible I goofed up on a bit of code -- continuity bugs can be hard to spot, when I have too many balls in the air. There's one with Ashe's path that I still need to fix, too.
