Hey folks, sorry I haven't been around much. I fucked up my back moving a bunch of tile, and I've been sick. So, most of my energy has been spent struggling through my day job, and then collapsing into bed as soon as possible. Still updating in my usual places, if you're curious what's going on with the game, though! Recently released some 4K wallpapers for Britt, Gabby, and Ashe, and I'm running a poll to determine Gabby's outfit for the next chapter.

#1 feels like a cute summer dress type
#2 feels like a casual out and about type
#3 feels like a night on the town type of thing

So depending on the context, I could see her having all three of these. If I'm going on look alone, my tendency is toward #1

In some timelines, MC doesn't know Nicki left, yet. There's basically three ways that event can play out.
  • MC visited Nicki's apartment, and knows she's gone.
  • MC slept in the office, and Maya tipped him off that something's going on -- but he doesn't know what, yet.
  • MC slept at his place, and he's largely unaware that Nicki's left.
These will all be unified, and the fallout dealt with, in Chapter 10.

That said, it's always possible I goofed up on a bit of code -- continuity bugs can be hard to spot, when I have too many balls in the air. There's one with Ashe's path that I still need to fix, too.
I personally love #3 & #1, w/ #3 inching very slightly in terms of sexiness, while #1 inches in terms of cuteness. #2 is just barely behind the others, but they're all so great I would be satisfied regardless

Isn't it a shame that different outfit choices require entirely separate images? If that wasn't the case and you could just script different outfits at the touch of a button (w/o having to worry about the fabric collisions etc.), it would be such a small fun little thing to have her (and the other LIs) wear different outfits depending on how she feels about you. To me, #3 gives like shot-gun/head-over-heels romance vibes or maybe even corruption; #1 & #2 are like casual/steady romance or friend vibes (maybe even FWB).

Just say "I can fix her" bruvs. No need a whole essay.

Hell, this whole game is basically that.
When I get high on the weekends, I just leave the OCD tism flood gates open, and it usually comes in the form of pages.. :ROFLMAO:

That was a great read.

Honestly, it's the girls that make this one of my favourite games.
I love all of them so much.
I just get this urge to help all of them no matter what.
See, someone appreciated the essay

I fucking love when it comes to Joshy even mods go OT.:LOL::LOL:
He's a great sport

Also out of curiosity, what is Ashe's continuity bug?
If the player gave her a little sleep aide and then went to see Nicki, and Nicki had left/abandoned MC, he returns and proceeds directly into the conversation with Price, without ever acknowledging that Ashe should still be sleeping in his bed. >_> It's an easy fix, I just need to actually.. Do it. :'D

Hi NeonGhosts I just wanted to say thank you again for that awesome render you did of Mason drooling into my mouth.
It is really cool, and I have it saved in my special folder.

You are in my top five most awesome devs list.

You know after replaying the update i'm conflicted who to simp more for now. It was always Nicki # 1 but after some time has passed im starting to lean towards making Ashe and Nicki tied when it comes to simping. Guess that just means I have to hold both of their hands at the same time under the moonlight in the park.

I actually prefer when games make us choose between girls.
I'm a very monogamous man
Same here even when I play a "manwhore" playstyle cause I can't choose and want to play through the game's content I even feel bad for doing it. Sometimes ill restart and make a few saves for each girl and play them all about equally if I feel like im playing that type of style to much without picking a LI.

I only really like two throuples.
Usually it's monogamy all the way for me.
never understood this. Like... Monogamy is such a strange concept to me. I know people get jealous and possessive, but monogamy always feels a little too close to codependent to me. And when in fantasy? Like disney princess style romance pairing off can make sense sure, if it's a tale of romance about just two people involved with maybe a teased 3rd for a love triangle for drama. But even then(especially then. Cut the knot, pair the spare in a one true threesome time!), why aren't poly relationships more normalized in fiction? I know more successful poly relationships in real life than I've seen in (non-porn) fiction.

Such a bizarre thing to me.

Not that bizarre. It's less about posessive and more about feeling valued in the relationship. When there are more than two people involved, if one of them start to favor one person over another in the throuple, it breeds that jealousy you're talking about. It's about keeping things in balance. Not so much possessing but feeling secure in a relationship that you won't be left behind by the others in the relationship.

In the real world? Yeah, sure, jealousy is killer in relationships and the more people, the more sources of jealousy. Hell 'that' jealousy often comes just fine from the two sources of insecurity and misunderstanding in perfectly faithful monogamous relationships. In fiction? I don't get it. Especially fiction which otherwise exemplifies a celebration of... well... sluttery. Here for instance. Guy is totally getting his wick wet in a dozen girls. But somehow it's preferable that he excludes all others for a single one at some point because "that's romance" isn't something I understand. Granted, I don't know where this story is ultimately going, NeonGhosts might well pair Guy off with a single girl in a way that works in the narrative, and thusfar that's more or less what I'm expecting. But as it stands that only seems to be really a thing with Ashe, and even then she seems open sexually to threesomes, and is more against the emotional infidelity. Which strikes me as realistic and pertinent to her character, but also ends up more or less forcing a choice where Guy has to decide if she's 'worth it' (along with sub branches of infidelity). which is where I'm going "nah, brah"

I at least understand the harem games where the MC is all like "I'm the only one you can sleep with, but I get anyone I want" without jealousy ever coming into play. Dickishly selfish it may be, it's fiction, and fictional people can be well fleshed out and deeply complex and be satisfying without being overly wishfullfillmenty. Like "WVM"s first two LI have absolutely workable motivations and justifications that can be woven into far more interesting and complex stories. (To be clear, WVM is not that interesting, narratively speaking.)

This is a bit hard for me to explain for while I do like Monogamy in these games.

When it comes to games / AVN's i'm not 100% sure why I prefer only 1 LI at a time even if I may have a hard time picking just one. I want to say some of it comes down to immersion for me and perhaps I self insert that aspect of me. Because I find it highly unlikely id be able to handle more than 1 girl and even if I liked more than 1 girl, I wouldn't want to try to be with more than 1 girl in Real Life either. Forget the whole remaining faithful aspect for a minute. I feel if I can't be in the relationship with said girl 100% it just wouldn't be fair to her if I had to split the attention / relationship with another partner romantically and I guess that part just just spills over into AVN's and helps me enjoy the games a bit more. Now I don't abide by these rules 100% in AVN's but I do once I pick a LI for that save unless the game is meant to be played like a manslut / harem. Now with that being said those would be just rules I abide by personally.

Because of all that I just find it more immersive to treat the LI like I actually would and be as faithful as I can. Since I play these games more for the relationship building, I try to treat these games a bit like a dating sim, where I want to get to know them, be kind, be romantic everything. It really comes down to that immersion is how I get my enjoyment out of these games. As I find it a bit boring to go around trying to have sex with anything that has a pulse as to me that just feels meaningless even if it's just a game. As I personally dont care about the porn aspect of these games they are just a bonus to me. Doesn't mean I don't do that when I have a hard time picking a LI or I play the harem once in awhile but it's rare.

This probably still doesn't make sense or still seems a bit bizarre to you but it's late and I tried my best to explain my personal point of view.

The problem with polyamory or open relationships in such games is most people will not accept some other dude(or a gal) sleeping with their women and start bitching and moaning about forced NTR, except the people who are actively looking for such games.
