Darn....won't start w the anti-nicki patch.

Now that I think abt it...I think that only worked w an older version or something...
bummer.

Anywho. Best of Luck
It was a mock patch, i'm not sure it ever actually worked in the full meaning of the term. Just a joke.

Oh, lol....shows how bright I am....lol
Thanks very much for the quick reply

Cheers
Yeah, some people were complaining that Nikki sucked, so Neon made a patch where you just slam the door in her face in the first scene and it rolls credits. Pretty much his commentary that Nikki is a central part of the story and if there's no her, there's no game.

I still don't understand the Nicki hate.
I believe it boils down to this: some people with a very fragile ego where angry because Nicki had a actual sexual life (even if shitty) before hooking up with Guy.

So they spent some time screaming. How much of a whore she was, how they couldn't look at her tatoos because it reminded them she had been with someone else, how they wanted to take her out of the game and etcetera.
Until neon decided to "fulfill" their demands with that patch. :ROFLMAO:

Funny thing is initially I hated her tattoo's just cause I loved how ordinary / average looking she was without them. Then with them just looked so much hotter to me and im not really one of those guys that thinks tattoo's are hot expect for when they are well done and they were with Nicki I thought. I eventually got used to them and now she i my favorite

I would have integrated it in the actual game :D

Totally!

It doesn't impact much as you can reload or restart, but it always gives me a good chuckle when you're given the 'option' to immediately fuck up or resolve the story without conflict

I wanted to show a render from my favourite scene so far.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
I liked the game before this part, but this scene in particular pushed it into rare company on my list.
I could feel the passion and the care Neon puts into the game in this scene.
Wow, that's beautiful  I have a lot to look forward to when the next update hits

Speaking of characters, I was thinking about Ashe a bit and maybe this is really really obvious to some, but she seems like an adrenaline junky to me. To a fault, even. I feel like that could explain some of her decisions regarding Guy, even dark Guy, and regarding things like how she liked driving faster in the car despite her past & Wren's injury, which some people including me wondered why she didn't feel a little nervous or something instead.

I mean, talking to Guy based on a dare from her friend kinda illustrates that, right? Why does her character go along with and even enjoy being pushed in the alley by someone she just barely met, albeit a rich & pretty handsome dude? For the thrill of it I think. Same with her sex scene in Guy's apartment right after; being choked; incest play, even.

And hell, some people on the corruption/findom route have noticed she seems to enjoy being paid for sex. Again, I think she really just likes the exhilaration of it, whether it's from feeling good or feeling naughty or perhaps even feeling scared or angry or hurt. It might even be confusing for her where her actions don't reflect how she really feels, and vice versa. Like how an addict can grow to hate what they use, but they crave the dopamine fix either way. Which also seems to be a recurring theme in this game.

I don't know, just some thoughts.

That particular scene is from earlier in the game not the newest update.

And you make some good points about Ashe. We still have a lot to learn about her, I think.

They have been, I'm not disputing that. But up until this point they've always had a degree of separation from the MC. They have been in other character's backstory, or the events have happened elsewhere and been relayed to the MC. I don't see why you can't understand that this fundamentally changes things. It doesn't even have to be a bad thing, but it certainly changes the tone of the AVN.
It's not that I don't understand people's reactions. It's just that I find them kind of odd. Like, there's been this simmering plotline of various sketchy dudes going on in the background. Wouldn't it be more strange if I set it up, and never paid it off? I mean, if I show you a gun in act one..

Also, I think people think this is going to lead to MC personally storming a drug den and getting into a gunfight, or something stupid like that. Risa explicitly spells out the plan, and it's not that.

I also think people are maybe reading a little too much into Lucien's 'empire.' Like -- what do we know? He's a drug dealer with a bodyguard, who's basically pulled a scam on girls that isn't dissimilar from stuff that's happened all-too-often in real life. Like, stories of girls showing up for modeling, or even porn, and being summarily abused and extorted isn't something that's only in the purview of Mexican cartels and Russian oligarchs. It's GirlsDoPorn, it's Andrew Tate, it's Harvey Weinstein, it's Jeffrey Epstein, it's Instagram models who flew to another country and had their passports withheld unless they did what their wealthy benefactors wanted..

Like, the point of Lucien isn't that he's some abnormally monstrous and horrible human being. It's that his particular brand of monstrous behavior is entirely too common, and people can get away with it for yeeeeears before it's stopped. Because the targets are young women who were 'asking for it,' or at the very least, 'should have known better.'

We actually do see Ashe visibly nervous in the car, at the very start of the date..

Otherwise, I'd say your analysis is pretty on-point!

I do think Ashe giving MC roadhead is maybe a little out of character, and I was probably thinking with my, "Let's add more sex to this update," brain than my creative brain. But, I think that seeing Guy stand up for Viola probably put Ashe in a state of mind where she felt safe with MC.

The answer is only 3 posts above yours, bro. Just 3 posts above yours.

'mkay?
No it wasn't, 'mkay?

3 posts above him was " I think that's the point. It was not a sexy scene. It was supposed to make you disgusted." Which was referring to the "in-camera" rape video the MC is made to watch, not the choice of whether or not the MC himself should raped the passed out woman, 'mkay?

If you're gonna be a condescending prick to people, the least you could do is make sure your condescension is at least correct, 'mkay?

Some people seem to think Guy should have just killed Lucien right there and then lol.
But thankfully Guy isn't some boring superhero who can leap tall buildings in a single bound.
And I'm also glad Lucien isn't twiddling a moustache and talking about ruling the world. Villans like that are so fucking boring.

That being said Lucien is on my list partly because he didn’t let that girl shoot a nice porno.

i just read your Banking Method just now. I'm gonna start implementing that.

Btw, would you still recommend Dr Amana? i know it's abandoned but maybe it's stop at a good point or maybe it's still enjoyable regardless of it's being abandoned. I like good writings. That's why I like Friends in Need. Some of the writing is really good.

I don't hate Nicki but that's not the reason some people do. Everyone in this game except for Viola had an "actual sex life" before MC.
