Not gonna lie, reading posts like this, where the author communicates with the audience, explains some non-obvious points of the game and answers questions, complaints and even the negative posts of the public, is perhaps no less interesting than the game itself.
The only thing that’s a little frustrating is that the dev admits by himself that such openness, including to negativity, unreasonable demands and simply trolling, affects his motivation. I'm a selfish guy, so a less motivated developer means less content or longer waits for updates for me. This is unacceptable!![Kappa :Kappa: :Kappa:](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
I may or may not like the game, but I definitely can't stand it when players start dictating to the developer how they should make their games and what content they should or shouldn't include there.
And I don't agree with bro ename144 that it's author's job is to listen the audience's feedback. Let's say yet another guy doesn't like Nikki, he wrote about it in the thread, left a negative review. The developer, if for some reason this information may be useful to him, has increased Nikki’s dislike counter. That's it, feedback received. But the guy won't stop there and will write post after post about how crappy Nikki and the game are, and the author doesn't understand a damn thing about it. What kind of feedback is this? To me it sounds like an annoying noise which no one is obliged to listen to.
I'm not even talking about the fact that for some developers their games are passion projects; they make them primarily for their own fun. Yes, it's great if other people like it too and want to support the developer, but the wide support isn't a requirement for those developers to continue working. This forum provides a great place for developers and players to find each other and communicate. But if someone, even after numerous explanations and answers from the developer, continues to think and write that the game is moving in the wrong direction, the story is wrong, the developer doesn't know what he's doing, adds the wrong content for the wrong characters, maybe then it's time to just admit that this game is not for you, and move on instead of crapping on someone's passion?
