direct influence as to intended narrative, as opposed to the disney approach of ignoring reference
its not a case of semantics its a case of specifics but sure lets broad stroke everything,

the side story is boring and uninspired (despite evolution and in my opinion improvement of the art)
The Discord's moderation team does not have a monopoly on Futadom lore. If anyone does, it's Xalimata, the guy who made the original caption that spurred the Futadom Caption boom in 2015ish. Xalimata, you might be aware, is also listed as a team member for this game. So if anyone's ignoring reference, it probably isn't the FDW devs - and even if they are, who cares? The game has its own continuity that doesn't depend at all on the Discord server's worldbuilding discussion threads. That's not ignoring reference, it's writing your own story in your own game.

Which isn't to say there's anything wrong with the worldbuilding provided on the Discord server. I just don't think it's the final word in Futadom.

Pretty much.
It may be inspired by the reddit/discord thing but the game Futadom World (and this short My Futa Valentine kinetic novel) comprise its own universe.

I don't mind having a futa cucking the MC's wife, but damn that was legit sad.

They amped the humilliation and the backstabbing and reduced the sexyness, which is... ok? If you're into it I guess?

Not for me though. The main game has some sad/downer paths/endings but at least they're optional and pretty well sign-posted.

This one is "wife is unhealthily focused on being a mother, conspires with a futa ex to get pregnant and lies in order to bind her husband into a eunuch at the level of an actual dog."

Couldn't even fap, way too sad.
Yeah, it's one thing if the dude willingly agrees to the collar, but the mental override just makes things skeevy as hell, to me. Basically, dude getting fucked: not my bag, but sometimes hot enough to put up with. Dude getting mindfucked: hard pass.
Even the cucking stuff in the valentine side story: even 'wife's happier with futa, calls hubby a limp dicked loser, and he runs off crying to the airport' would make me a lot more comfortable than the current brainrape.
Hell, if they threw in a storyline in the main game where the PC is a girl (and canonically immune), so that even the more insanely submissive routes are due to PC agency? I'd be throwing at least 20 a month (I know it's not much in the grand scheme of their project, but it's hard (for me, at least) to justify paying over 200$ a year for a porn game) at their patreon - the artwork in this is hot as hell, but the underlying storyline is just waaaay too creepy.

so my opinion is that considering that was a side project, build with a very limited time and also taking into consideration that the Team was also working on the main release for this month, is not that bad, the main theme is interesting, the problem for me is that fell rushed and could have a lot better changing some small things, but personally I liked, is nothing special or my favorite part of the game, but is also not the worst, for me was kinda a happy ending

My thoughts on the Valentines side story.

I'll still follow the game as the main game still has less depressing endings.
In terms of the core idea, I'm fine with the notion of a country full of rapey futa, and futa cum being a literal drug.

But I have a problem when the writers turn it into social commentary or a revenge fantasy. When the writing suggests that "this is the way men treat women, TAKE THAT PATRIARCHY!" In the real world yes there are men who abuse and rape women, but men are also taught from an early age never to hit a woman. In the real world men are stronger than women, but it's very easy to see women get leniency in the law. But in this game they try to go back and forth between "futa rape fantasy" and "social commentary".

I can't think of examples right now, but there are times when the writing almost tries to justify the way males are treated like "this is what it feels like for women", and that's when the writing is at the weakest. It's at it's best when it just embraces the role reversal and rape fantasy.

Wait, are there actually any examples of that? I don't remember any where they made comparisons, or tried to tie it in with real world stuff. Like "this is what women feel" etc. If however it is true.....then that's just....WOW. I guess the writers might have some agenda after all.

You can't think of examples because that's literally nowhere in this game. You insisting on this as if it's a fact is, if anything, pushing more of an agenda than the game itself ever does. Your persecution complex has no place here.

I wonder what y'all been playing all these years?
This side story fits perfectly next to everything else they did for their world. It's called Futadom World - Binding Sim.

I absolutely enjoyed the story. For me it's the "new" artwork I just can't get behind. In comparison to their main artist (the one who does the character sprites and animated sex scenes) the newer stuff (the homeless girls, Wallis, this side-story) looks terrible. It's way too over-saturated and peoples faces look like they're recovering from whiplash all of the time. I understand that they needed more artists so they can get more content out faster, but to me this ain't it. This ruined even the shop-keeper for me, one character I desperately wanted to see more of (and given that she seems to be one of the only poc-characters in the game, definitely should have had a little more spotlight).

I might be in the minority with this, but I'd personally love to get this game back to its roots.

Exactly. While NTR and cuckoldry are not my forte, I could've gotten to a place where I'd be okay with it in when it comes to this setting. I feel as if this went far beyond that. Everyone's familiar with what those fetishes entail, this was just cruelty.

RC1138 is right on the money as far as I'm concerned, this looks like a world/lore building exercise by the developers. And I suppose they made their point.

Just wanted to get your guys opinion on Rye's "happy ending" because I'm a little disappointed.

Just wanted to point that I still like the game in general. I know it's a wip and this might also be a fetish thing for some.

Am I the only one who got this feeling from playing her happy path tho?
