I don't think personal ignorance is a justified excuse to claim "futanari isn't clearly defined" The concept of futanari for the longest time has been a feminine looking hermaphrodite, meaning both male and female sex organs. I've only seen the definition of such be this muddied online when trans people started inserting themselves everywhere. I'm honestly not sure if you people who so adamantly and indignantly use the clearly defined term of "futanari" on everything that isn't, are just being ignorant "tourists" or intentionally malicious by way of subverting language, definitions, and culture. The term has literally existed for centuries due to it's japanese culture origins and the etymology behind it has remained fairly consistent even in modern day japanese usage. I do get the meaning purist stance but I'm afraid the battle is not one that can be won
used to have a similar stance before giving up, ending with as stated by myself above, any non-trans girl with dick can be called a futa (and not having a pussy doesn't make a character trans by itself, fantasy logic)

I've never thought of it as a "battle" since the only times I typically run into this situation is when westerners are mislabeling works with incorrect tags, be it out of ignorance or otherwise. I don't often see works made by japanese artist where the creator tags it "futanari" when it's actually a trap or shemale since they have words for both of those concepts already as well. I'm only really bothered when i'm looking for futa and turns out I was misled, making me sift through way more works than necessary. It's not like each of these separate concepts don't already have a term and definition for them.
