Bliss has a Xmas present for you guys .........

And I suppose I have an announcement to make.

First the good news... I'm still planning to, eventually, remake Future Fantasy Harem.
It won't be out in a while, but I'm definitely hoping to release the first instalment in 2023.

Also, a few more details. All the characters will be back, and there will be new ones (of course I had many I never got to show you last time. The overall storyline will also be kept.

However, I will make man changes to the actual game, and the way the story develops.

So, the first few instalments will focus on the Brimstone Club. Of course Bliss and her sister Willow, Sugar and a few others will be the main ladies. Spice, the dancer in this picture, will also have a big part to play.....
During this first section, the players will have a chance to slowly get to know the fantasy world of my story.
In the second part, the sandbox will expand to incorporate all of Interzone (with characters from other guilds, a the goths introduce them to the main character, the bazaar etc)
Then, in the third art it will become possible for the main character to explore the world at large.... where some interesting stuff will take place.

Overall, this will be a long term project so yeah, it will take time (the fact is I also have to recreate all the characters and environments because I lost some data after completing the first version of FFH) but it will be a lot nicer.

Will post more updates in the future.

Well, a quick update (for the few people interested)

Things were going well. I had some ideas on how to improve the game while keeping my characters and most of the story, but as I started working on this more I ran into various issues. I won't bore you with the details but sometimes Daz Studio is really frustrating to use.

The fact that I have to recreate a lot of the old data doesn't help.

Anyways, I was going to say I hope I post FFH Remade for Xmas (with lots of content, new and old) but now I don't know.....
If I can solve some of the issues that might still be possible, if not, well, not sure. Maybe I'll make a completely different game (but keep at least some of the characters)

Brief final update for the time being.

It's a case of Good News, Bad News.

Good news is, the issues are partly sorted out and I will be able to use my models, and the renders might end up being nicer actually.
However, since the new images look rather different I guess I won't be using most of the old ones. It's for the best in a way, as I will also have more freedom to change the story and make other improvements. But it will take longer too (and some characters might not survive unscathed, like poor Fern - her hair doesn't work in Daz anymore).

Last bit of news for a while...

I figured something out and now I could just do more renders with the same style.
Yet, I"m tempted to jsut redo it with better graphics and more changes to the story.

Either way, FFH will be remade ;)

Always interested to see what you do.

Your worldbuilding can be overwhelming, all laid out there in plentiful text; and the camera angles, lighting, and textures tend not to grab people. But there's something deeply, truly interesting in the world you've built, and in the sexualities on display. I'm a big fan of female slavery, of rough sex, submissive women, dominant women forced to submit, bdsm as a way of life, and uncompromising harem domination -- some of which gets explored here.

I look forward to what you do next. Please stick with it.

But there's something deeply, truly interesting in the world you've built, and in the sexualities on display. I'm a big fan of female slavery, of rough sex, submissive women, dominant women forced to submit, bdsm as a way of life, and uncompromising harem domination -- some of which gets explored here.

Thank you for the kind words. It will take time but I will remake the game and I hope it will be even better.

I will only add that it's true in my previous attempt I kept the graphics pretty simple, mainly to have more time for coding, writing etc, but in the remake I will make an effort to create better images as well. I won't add content as quickly, but yeah, hopefully it will be a much better game overall.

And of course the themes you mentioned will be part of the game, with options for the players to pursue lighter or darker paths as the story develops.

Take your time! Can't wait for the remake. Loved this game originally (The gags *chefs kiss*)

Actually, I think I should comment a little more on this.

I do appreciate your positive comments about the world I create in the game (and the sexual themes which of course I enjoy myself)

Still, something about the graphics sounds a little harsh.
Oh, I agree the lighting and textures are awful (and let's not mention the animations). That was somewhat done by design, because I chose the simplest rendering engines, settings, cameras etc to reduce production times and be able to create more content in a short while.

However, I used beautiful models that most developers do not employ (it's easier to pose standard models like the Victoria series, so for many using only the main models is a way to save time) and I strongly disagree with your assessment of camera angles. It's not my main source of income, but IRL I do freelance work as a photographer and videographer and I produced images and music videos (for amateur and indie bands) that has sometimes been praised by full time professionals.

Now, granted, my game is no "Apocalypse Now" and I was trying to speed up the process so sure, some images could have been more creative, but it's worth noting it's an Erotica Renpy game, not a Hollywood blockbuster about the vagaries of the human psyche, the horrors of war etc. It's just meant to be a sexy fantasy.
In terms of camera angles, I will let you know I mostly used standard basic angles for dialogues, used in pretty much all renpy games, some creative angles of my own meant to emphasize focus on the models' beautiful features, and also nice camera angles I noticed in the best porn or in some of the most popular games on this site (like for instance the Pinktea games or Harem Hotel).

But you know what, it's all good because your comments reminded me that the average viewer, sadly, only notices lighting and textures really, or the smothness of an animation, and that most people who play these games do so for the fetishes and the art, not complex stories.

So, yeah, it's all good but will definitely scrap most of the art I produced for the first version and will only remake it if I can produce really beautiful art (which would be easy in real life for me but can be a bit of a nightmare in Daz).
It will also take a lot longer to make, but oh well, why not.

I like 1, 4, and 5.

2 is very close to the one you used in the game. Pale skin is hard in Daz, it often comes out looking very two-dimensional, a flat layer of person.

My guess is, most people on this site check the tags first. Does it have stuff I like? Does it have stuff I hate? And then I’d guess their second exploration is to look at sample images. If your game DOES have stuff they like, and DOESN’T have stuff they hate, my guess is they then check the art to see if it grabs them. Rouge and Fern, in particular, their skin textures looked unfinished. I think that caused some potential fans to give up on the game without playing it.

Okay, yeah, I also thought 4 and 5 are probably the best (it's the same method really, in 3Delight and with spotlights, I was just tweaking the lights and shadows in the second render). It's the same technique I used for Bliss in the previous post (very nice textures on her lingerie, for instance).
It takes longer than the system I used in the past, even much longer, but it's nowhere near as bad as Iray and it looks much nicer so yeah, I'll do something like that.

3 is too weird for a whole game, but it could be interesting in some special cases, like if I want to show a portrait. It looks a bit like a painting to me. I will experiment a little more to see if I can make it a little brighter.

Anyways, yeah, it will be a slower process but FFH Remade will be much nicer visually. I can produce amazing visuals with real cameras so time to learn how to do that with az.
My coding and writing are fine and I can recycle some of that, but yeah, time to get serious about the artwork and since I have to redo the art I will also make more changes to the story.... It will be fun ;)

The remake of FFH, probably titled 'Riggers Fantasy Women" (might change my mind) is under way. It will be very different, and while the original game used very basic images to allow for more material and a faster pace, in the remake I will focus on much improved art (and using IRay this time - gotta admit that it can lead to good results if used properly).
It will be set in the same fantasy world, have some of the same characters, and have the overall story arc I had envisioned for the original game.
However, there will also be many other differences in terms of characters, story details and development, mechanics etc.
The new game, still focused on creating a whole fantasy world, will also have a combat system ad other improvements (but it won't have any animations)
I will work on it, at my slow pace, and around Xmas will introduce it on this forum (it will have a new thread but I'll mention it's out here as well)
By the way, one of the new characters wants to say hi

Still slowly working on my new concept, characters and environments. I was hoping to have something published by now but I have been busy with other issues and had health issues as well.
I'm also not sure whether I should try to implement a full combat system or just keep things a little simpler, like keeping more like a visual novel than a game. It would still ahve choices and different paths. NOt sure.
Anyways, I'm hoping I will be able to publish something at the end of the year. We'll see how it goes.
