There are a few specific endings that can only be unlocked by losing specific fights. But it's not a bad ending where it then immediately railroads you into a cutscene and a 'game over' screen. The H-scene room will tell you every fight you need to lose to unlock their respective endings, although I can only think of two off the top of my head.
It's done over here on floor 5. The room of H recollections (the white crystal back at the starting town) will tell you how to acquire all H scenes.

The hint said i need to find Room of seal, i only know it's in the thousand world location. Don't know how to find it.

It's a bit unclear, but I think Taboo changes several things:
First, in specific instances, it closes/open specific areas/add dialogs. This is usually a case of what you did to get the Taboo though.
Second, it gives more stats when you go through rebirth, though I haven't tested this myself.
Third, I am pretty sure some specific enemies only appear if you have Taboo: alternate Lolina on demon route, Alternate Shuuka or dark gather route, and alternate Sherry on Wriggle route. In specific places they also appear as a team, too.
Fourth, "sexy" enemies now move, rather than stay immobile.
Fifth, random npcs now can't be walked through, which includes shuuka/lolina for their routes, and some of them get very excited and can make just walking around a pain.
I'm also a bit confused at some of the lore, especially the time quartz and white rose stuff (I guess ROSE incoming game will tell us more there). I get the impression that maybe Time Quartz was brainwashed by Sherryl and then ended up being the boss you fight at the end of wriggle route + first fights of Sherryl bost fights?
As for Lolina, my impression is that in sherryl's original world Lolina went insane and killed Sherryl's husband and son. Sherryl then created a world designed to give her the power to ressurect them, and had alternate version of Lolina there.
This is why Sherryl is seen a few times wanting Lolina to suffer as much as possible.
The game has a New Game+ system that directly ports your old character equipment, items and levels, and you're expected to replay the game ~3 times. The green route isn't even playable your first time around without some insane grinding.
The content's there for a reason and the game seemingly wants to be taken seriously at times. I'm pretty sure the cryptic comments about Lolina's extended story relates to the extra endings you can unlock for her.
Taboos relate to a number of endings. It also causes 'taboo' enemies to spawn (instead of the normal red, blue and purple sprites you will see an occasional black one) related to some of the endings. If you've reached an area where everything is black except for some skeletons, you've found a location affected by a taboo you triggered.

Btw, anyone knows if you actually can go higher than 9999 or if tutorials mentioning getting higher is a remnant of things cut in the game (I am talking about the rebirth tutorial).

You can join courts, which might be trigger that dialog if you speak to them again, I guess?

Also, given how things scales in the infinite dungeon is there any points to the higher (x8 and x20) difficulties? At that point of the game I actually feel like it makes more sense to go back to normal from hard, unless the taboo difficulties give special bosses or something.
9999 is the hard limit for character levels.
After your first few play-throughs what actually matters is your upgradeable weapons, consumables, personalities that provide perma-buffs, and a few other oddly specific items. It's not on accident that XP becomes a cost for most high level spells.
Incidentally, you want to start thinking about what you're slotting into your upgradeables after the first few play throughs because if your goal is to 100% this game you really do want to min/max your weapons.
The first taboo you'll encounter is found in the reliquary area. You should be encountering it on your first play through, unless you completely ignored the demon zones.
That's the problem, they just repeat themselves. It's very clear there's something I'm supposed to be doing but it's not clear what that is supposed to be.

Yeah, I was asking because the rebirth tutorial tells you flat out you get bonuses for doing rebirths at levels 24995 and so on.
I guess I could have done x20 when I did the dark gathering route yeah.
I found that in both the demon and wriggle routes hard mode (the x4 one) felt very good. Likewise for the true ending. Basically didn't need anything I'd consider grinding but did need me to be really careful about only using ten thousand stones on the good weapons and so on.
Speaking of weapon enhancements, it's kind of funny that a lot of the "high end" weapons ends up flatly worse to the beginner ones because a lot of them just don't give anything at all but a more or less zero sum of stats, while a lot of beginner weapons give something unique.
As far as I know dual wielding Sword Beyond Heaven is the absolute best lol.

Taboos relate to numbers of action that relate to truth about the world... and items that increase difficulty. Some items can only be taken with high taboo.
