I am not saying that Ashen Bunny is lying or anything.. but It is kinda sus how almost every other dev starting to have out of a sudden those life altering situations just right after they get the money.. you all can take what I've said with grain of salt because it is just my opinion.

Can you name some of the recent ones that have dropped out due to these reasons? With there being such a large number, it shouldn't be too difficult. I expect several hundred Dev names, low balling the amount!

Of course I was overexaggerating.. but it happens more often than you think it's not, you can see for yourself by using the search function and selecting abandoned game tag. Not going to reply on this matter any further.. just mark words when this game get's the abandoned tag.

He is right - there have been a few devs I've followed in recent memory to pull this kind of thing. Hell, one of them even faked his own death. The point here though is that Ashen doesn't actually make a lot on Patreon at the moment so lying wouldn't make sense. I've always been skeptical of devs that say this kind of thing but I always give benifit of the doubt at the end of the day. We're all human, these things happen.

I think that the right approach should be to stop the subscriptions for a month or for how long the issue is going to last.
The only dev I know that does this is NTRMAN, everytime he has to take a pause from the game he makes he just stops the subscriptions so you don't pay anything to him for the month he's not working. This to me seems the right approach towards your supporters that are paying you when you are not releasing anything for them. Of course I'm concerned about this guy's family and I hope and wish everything is ok and they are going to get better soon. Just saying that this could have been handled differently.

I can't say much on what is or isn't going on with the dev, but I can say that a developer who wants to just bail after getting the money wouldn't give that excuse and then check back up on the game's post, which Ashen has done, a few times actually. Why come back to the scene of the crime?
I agree that normally the process should be to pause the subscription, but tbh I specifically chose to keep the subscription active during this period of time anyways because one, the game is special imho, two, the dev was very active on discord prior to the issue, three, the situation seemed very genuine, four, he was working on the update before anyways as well. I can't tell you guys to be mad or not, and sure the timing is poor, but imho there is no guarantee for any game to go until completion. Such is life. And it's not like we are paying for the game, we can still play the game for free through here so it seems really more a hobby for the dev, and as such when its no longer enjoyable for them, I think its more than warranted for them to abandon it.
I do also believe if the dev does end up abandoning it, he would let us know. He's been vocal so far and I have come across poor devs plenty of times before, he seems to among the better ones

Also, to add onto this. He doesn't have THAT many subs, so his income on the game isn't even THAT much. It'd be a wierd time during development to want to just pull an Icstor and disappear for ages. I think people are very quick to judge based on a temporary disappearance, especially one that was provided with a reason and not THAT long so far. Maybe after 6 months, I can understand people gaining some skepticism, but it hasnt even been 2 months yet.
What kind of moron fakes his death over the internet? It's just a porn game he can disappear whenever he wants and ultimately people won't care that much outside of regretting they missed out on a nut, which they'll get eventually anyway to something else. At least for me the story is too sincerely written to be entertaining meme doubts on his character. He didn't share any details of what happened outside of family members in a car crash but frankly if I had family I loved get life threatening injuries it would definitely take the wind out of my sails for a while. Lucky bastard I say. If I found out my father died I'd be like good riddence. Not sure if I'd show up at the hospital to spit on him as my final word to him or just not show at all to prove a point.
Either way we can all agree how sad it is that the story got delayed cuz it's really spicy. Also the fact that she doesn't come across as a slut just that she gets some confidence from the attention as well as enjoys turning her boyfriend on, even if it's through non vanilla means. There's not enough wholesome content like that on the site and most of the nts has some trashy elements in it in the end, like the girl turns quickly into just a slut shooting porn and the boyfriend just becomes non existent just saying yes dear to everything. It's a really sexy thought that she keeps her focus on her boyfriend and what she can do to tease him better.

I can't remember the Dev's name but the game was called Lustful Instincts or something. Apparently he'd done the same thing before with a similar game which he had under a different name and got found out because of a Patron

Hey, I have a question for you guys that haven't left yet. How do you guys feel about Netorase in this game? There's obvious sharing going on, but there's also the GF doing certain spicy things without her BF's permission. Some seem to think its impossible have Sharing with the fear of actually cheating being present. What do you guys think?

I'm personally all for it. I love Netorare, so seeing some element of that in a Netorase is more than welcome for me.

There are so few pure netorase games
Most of them have cheating some way or another
And tbh I don't really find cheating to be hot

BUT the dev has already said there won't be any cheating (right?), and there's precious few pure sharing games out there for those that prefer that.
Your typical f95zone user response would be to ask for two routes, one netorare/cheating route and one pure sharing route but those people seem to forget that it divides the devs attention, giving less development time to the sharing stuff.
I won't advocate for this game to fit my kinks to the detriment of the people who prefers the games current focus and whom have been told that they can expect to be the ones catered to by the dev.
With that said I do hope that this devs talents one day is put on a new project with a netorare focus when this game is finished!
