if they're running low on ideas for kate, I have one. Why wouldn't she join Kira in the porn biz? might add some stuff like her doing it at first because she has to (punishment, new skills to learn, etc) and staying bc she likes it ? Might be a good opportunity to make more kira content (GG) as well

Whereas I would like to see resources shared between both routes like maps, clothes and phone, I agree with you.
The idea is good but not new. Many have already offered it

I can understand the devs reasoning behind making Kate the MC in that it's believed a female MC can be given more acceptable choices the get through some scenarios. But I'm glad he has still continued with the max route too because with some thought I think a male MC can be given acceptable choices also.

The fact that Max can manipulate people so easily right off the bat is a little bit much, imo.
The repeating day nature of the game as it currently is would suit him having to brush up on psychology to achieve such levels of "everybody wants my dick lol". You're not born with a manipulation gene, it's a skill (desirable or otherwise) you acquire by knowing how person x's mind works.

Skills easily turn into a grind if you just have to repeat certain actions to increase the skill until it is sufficient, e.g.
- earn money,
- buy psychology course online,
- learn online lessons,
- repeat
It would be different if Max would additionally have to solve individual puzzles for each character, e.g. find personal items, view events, hit certain dialogs, to be able to persuade them to do new stuff ...

And funny enough that's the exact problem a lot of people have with Eric. I noted in another thread that Eric gives Max a lot of validity for his schemes and without him Max becomes disturbingly creepy as a character. If I had a say I'd definitely roll back some of Max's manipulative personality. If it stays as is he (in my opinion) needs an antagonist (Not Eric) to balance out the story.

That can actually drastically improve the game for people that like puzzles (myself included). But the argument will be the increase in file size, the relevance of the mini games to the actual story, the creativity of the games chosen or created, and many many more things that many people can complain about. I like this idea but I've seen other devs trip in implementing something like this because that's fine line to walk between success and failure.

Progress report
0.42 is almost done and if there are no unexpected setbacks, it should come out tomorrow.
Initially we were planning to make the update more mechanically heavy and spend more time on the committee voting and the various new classes. But then we've decided to streamline it and focus on new content.
Now that the committee voting process is much faster, the meat of the update is the new classes. First, there will be new anatomy lessons in the classroom. And then there will be events in the medical office. One of them will have an important choice with lasting consequences for Kate.
This update took way too long. We will try to release 0.43 this month, which means it will be shorter than usual. 0.43 will be focused on Max.
