In a mirror universe however, DS is a competent writer and Kate remains the actual main character.
We Kate fans wish it weren't so but we must exist in this unfortunate plane of reality.
I don't understand the "kate fans".
I mean, the game's been going well away from Kate being the main character for quite a while now, and there would be no reason for DS to go back to "that", since most people have no interest in female protags unless they're just like Kate, cumdumpsters that gets fucked by anything alive with a cock.
Condering DS' previous game and writing/story, expecting a "good" story, is probably more on you than on him. He "makes" sluts that gets used/corrupted, not good deep stories. The only deep things in his games, are the cumdumpster's holes.
Lie. Just most people don't like playing for the protagonist nerd. And the polls constantly confirm this - Kate's story wins everything

So if this is THE KATE update, then i see no reason to play it, i stopped after update 0.42 and i have no further interrest in the BB family story telling within Glamour. I am stil following the conversations in here but i prefer other VN to support. I have seen amazing storytelling within this forum but i think i lost the appetite to play the DS storyline. So i wil not comment what i think about Glamour anymore.

Sorry seems to me you have lack off fantasy. Almost everything now is the same. But if you are into that it's okay, you just want to know already what is the next stap that will follow then keep on playing. Still great renders (from time to time).
It's just to predictable to me. If you get off on this, then get off. No problem to me.
With Max now at the college, even if it's supposed to be a Kate update, it will in reality be a Max update.

I have my grievances with DS (sandbox, ridiculous storylines (whole fem protag side in particular), Max's stupid red t-shirt, Lisa's overhaul to the point of unrecognition etc. etc. etc.)
To the point I almost stopped caring of this game (It still has some great art so I check this thread and /image folder of new releases but that's about it).
Blaming him for not working hard (which is recurring theme here) is simply unfair.
Guy does monthly releases no matter what. He does work hard and that's a fact. Just show me another dev who works on the scale and quality level DS does. You can't.
He might be greedy (I have no idea how would we learn that even in theory), he might be a moron (same thing.)
But if it's true, he is one hard-working greedy moron.

Hard working is debatable. Some of the updates feel like they were thrown together in a two-week panic period.
Once he ran out of BB content to rehash, you can see the difference - it looks as though he was just throwing enough stuff at the wall to see if any of it sticks.
This I ascribe to the bugs that more often than not get fixed by fans faster than the developer.
Hurried content with no test saves to try it on leads to bugs.
He may or may not be greedy but he does know what sells to the larger part of the fanbase. A sound business practise but it does mean that he's not making as much as he could be.
He's not a moron, either imo. Just running low on content ideas. He still gets ideas now and then but has his paying fans make the decision for him. Once he started down that road I started having the feeling that it's going to get cancelled before completion.
Fans wanted a male protag. We could have had a simple genderflip character with Alex (the original male MC) but instead we get a moronic gimp who's basically a penis-brained walking penis. Why in the unholy fuckery did we get Cax instead?

Big Brothers is one of the most fan-created porn games. This already shows that DS is quite successful at making up stories.

Each one, a pale imitation made in the hope of creating the same buzz that BB had for its time. None did.
Except he's not.
BB had the potential for an interesting story, but progressing it stopped as soon as Eric was able to be gotten rid of. Instead, we got Max's further adventures in porn - Kira using the family for her own porn business, after Max has already been doing the same with Alice.
I'll bet you don't even know which part of the game's plot I'm referring to when I mentioned that it got dropped. It's to do with the first camera in the house... Not even DS himself picked up that again, which considering how it had been pretty crucial to the plot, says more about his story writing capability, than anything else.
As much as these are clearly porn games, they're ones with actual story and character development. At least, they were.
The same thing that happened with BB, has happened again with Glamour - DS playing the patrons by letting them think they're getting to choose what happens next. It happened around the same point, when DS started to run out of steam with any story, he plays the patrons so that they'll be responsible for the directionless padding that goes on.

Hate is too strong a word. The vector of application of our antipathies is not in Max himself, but in the fact that the DS shoves him into places where you can perfectly do without him.
And yes, you are right. Rewriting the backstory for Max, making him not a walking dick, but someone like Jiraiya would be at least unusual. And it would be nice to fit into the theme of the college investigation.
Tie to change Max's character:
Max jerks off while peeping in the bathroom. He slips and hits his head, he is in the hospital for a week (day, month, year). While in a coma, Jiraiya appears to him and tells him that he is a disgrace and averse to his path as a Super Pervert, and that at the moment he is just a walking dick with no brains. Max decides to follow in Jiraiya's footsteps and become a real Super Pervert. And wakes up.
