Hey guys, maybe I missed it. Some time back, you could download a free version from Dark Silver's patreon page and play as a guest (non-patreon). With the auto-updater you got the new releases as soon as you were able to access it.
As a non-patreon, you were two releases behind - which was really fine with me. But now the updates got stuck: For me, it says that there is a Ver. 0.48 (your 0.46). According to his posts (and this thread here) a version 0.52.3 should be available (and most likely a 0.50 or something like that for non-patreons).
So, did Dark Silver switch off the auto-updater? Did he switch it off for non-patreons only? Is my version corrupted?

correct, but with objection: there is no more kate's story. only, as you said, maxquest. last kate's updates were in fact max story from kate's pov

It's just that Glamour has branched out too much I feel. The core of Max's story has always been getting with his family, which worked great because compared to other incest games the family members were actually distinct personalities instead of generic female npcs. Ann repressed but more reserved, Lisa young but very horny, Alice ambitious and a meanie, Kira no words needed lol. Getting with each one felt, to me at least, a separate "accomplishment.
The college has some hot girls and I won't lie the bdsm thing behind it all is intriguing, but we often venture into generic territory and I just find it hard to care so much about it when there are lots of unresolved storylines at home with Kira and Alice's porn career or Ann's attitude. So yeah I think the game has a bit of a writing problem, the art I still like a lot.

Like take into consideration that NTR is a niche meaning few like it in general, and how female protag is also a niche so a lot don't even know glamor has max now since they ignored and moved on, coupled with people who just avoid darksilver because BB had NTR in it at all, and you get me surprised there wasn't more votes for eric, and surprised by how many are still here...
Probably in part the popularity of BB, so word of mouth, and that "avoiding NTR even if avoidable" wasn't a big thing back then, likely due to scarcity of games in general.

What is he right about? Max has to be in college? He shouldn't be there, it's a big mistake for DS to get Max into College. Any event with Max in College is minus one event with Kate in College. If someone is tired of Max having sex with his Mom, Aunt and sisters, and wants him to have sex with someone else. To do this, it is not necessary to send Max to study at the College.
I think the reason for putting Max in college is to merge both stories somehow. As it is now, there are two completely separate stories: Max at home and Kate at college. Because of that you have to come up with not only two sets of renders (for two protagonists, that's a given) but also two story lines. It's more like having two games in one launcher than one game with two protagonists. It could (and I'm not saying it will!!!) be good thing to merge both story lines and then dev has to do different renders for both POVs but the main story is the same thus reducing workload. That could be also interesting to see the same event through Max's and Kate's eyes and to develop story by having events exclusive to single POV (there are things male MC wouldn't do, while female can do and vice versa).
Having said that, merging both stories into one will not be easy:
1) One has to keep the character of the people in the game. Changing someone completely on the whim is not good storytelling.
2) Story has to be coherent. The same story cannot be completely different when looking from Max's POV and from Kate's POV. As Max's story is right now completely different (mostly incest) from Kate's (mostly submission), it would be challenging to do the merge and keep everything there.
3) There are people who prefer Max and those who prefer Kate (that's me!). Creating one story that will keep both groups happy? Though one! For example I'm not a fan of incest (it doesn't bother me but I'm not fan). On the other hand corruption, submission, BDSM for me are "gimmie more!!!!" kinks. Any change in Kate's story towards incest and away from corruption/submission for me will be a big NO, while for incest fans will be YAY.
So, to sum up: putting Max in college may be sensible. It can result in better game. However, it will be difficult to pull it off.
