Not this year more likely at some point we'll get a new game that has a Max or Kate based story starting from scratch

Kates Story is a different creator making a fan game so this finishing and Kates game being created are only tangentially related
i would play kates story if the art wasn't so drastically worse, darksilver really had the art down and the drop in visual quality in kates just gives the new cgs uncanny valley syndrome
It's impressive how this guy had one of the earliest house-incest games with the best quality artwork and managed to fail this hard.
What's more impressive is there has been a dozen fan remakes and they are all somehow even worse.

This is by far the most underrated games of all time. How did it get abandoned? You can't even continue it really because it is so open-ended
Dev basically dropped off the face of the earth. No updates on the Patreon page since July 2023. No real announcement about being abandoned, just stopped posting.

TBH I think it painted itself into a corner, then the creative team had some disputes and as has been mentioned DS just dropped off the planet leaving 3 incomplete games in his wake
I'm sorry : there was one announcement, months back. It's due to be somewhere in this thread around pages 1350 or so (can"t remember where exactly)
That announcement wasn’t really about abandoning the game though. It was more about introducing the team and letting people know of their problems and what not. Nothing in that announcement if I remember correctly really gives the impression that the dev would drop of the face of the earth mere weeks later.
especially considering we know they were working on 0.58 when the posts stopped coming.
