There was no reason to turn this into Big Brother. Big Brother already existed. You fell in love with it. It was there for you! Why reinvent the wheel? The assets were already in place! He should have continued with that and keep folks like you happy. That way you wouldn't be burdened by the terrible vag, Kate lovers could have been unburdened by BB bullshit, and Glamour could have been left unspoiled. Both games could have progressed to the enjoyment of all. If working on both games was too much, then he never should have started Glamour and get some of our hopes up.
There was always going to be characters from BB appearing. Even before the BB remake was started, before Max ever appeared in Glamour, Kate was already getting to know the rest of the family.
Kate was able to talk with Lisa during her work in the cafe and she spoke about events from BB and how everyone was pissed with Max when they'd found out about the cameras and how they weren't on good terms with him anymore. Even Kira got kicked out of the home and was living in the hotel where Kate winds up working.
References are fine, but Max didn't need to appear. He could have been shipped off to the military academy before Kate ever had to breathe the same fetid air. We could hear about him, but that's all there needed to be.
The way his character was written made it inevitable that he would hijack the story. Once he was on the scene, you couldn't avoid him. Kate just had to give up and let him have his way. She's even encouraged to take him money because unless you let him into your life, there just wasn't much content at the house. There's no way to get him to stop being an insufferable perv; he's shameless, without remorse, and without accountability. Any "punishment" his sister gave him, or his mother, or his dom, he just took in stride as the price of being a perv. He never even got upset by them. He played a long game. He knew that they would eventually give up. They'd just get used to his outrages and he would win in the end. It's like the women in his life adopt a kind of "if you can't beat him, join him" mindset. Every interaction I was forced to have with him made me hate him more and more!
I plated BB a couple of times. It was okay. Very typical for that kind of game, one of a million. It got boring really quickly. Playing Kate, however, I got to experience those tactics on the receiving end making it impossible to play BB again. I hated Max with a passion! I wish BB stayed what it was and continued so that Max lovers can have a place to go and ignore Glamour entirely. And I wish Glamour could have been its own thing, a spinoff, sure, but free of Max and free to evolve into something interesting. But nope. Max fucked it up for everybody! I don't know. Maybe BB is continuing, poor Kate is just left behind, and her fans are left SOL.
That's the point I was making... He wasn't supposed to appear initially.
Katya's fans have a separate game called Katya's Story, without Max and other heresy
Kate's Story is a fan game, like the numerous other Big Brother fan games in Ren'Py including one guy who already abandoned it once before and started a seperate fan remake instead of continuing with the one he already had... Little too close to being like Dark Silver there.
Also, "Max fans" had a seperate game. It was Big Brother.
Original Glamour was Kate, and the remake (this Glamour) was Kate too. Around two years later, there was the "bright idea" to shove a BB remake into another incomplete remake.

I don't understand why Darksilver decided to combine the Big Brother story with the Kate story. He should stick to Kate's story and build it up until she becomes the college's director at the end.
Nobody understands why, and yes, he should have. That would have been a great story arc for her.

Obviously. But the game being dead don't mean a Renpy port can't be a great thing!
Game has no ending, but the ride is still one of the best game out there. But Unity cause soooo much trouble to play it it would be great to have it on Renpy.

As far as i know no. But maybe some other dev will come and rebuild this game on RenPy, like what happened with Big Brother (previous game of darksilver).

Why isn't the game moved to ren'py?
Firstly, the dev never wanted to use this engine, as he didn't want it to be pirated, it's no wonder that he makes the updates available after one or two months, because he would know that the game would be posted here as happened with Big Brother,
but that's not a reason he didn't do it in the ren'py engine, really, if he was making his version available for free on his page he could have gone to renpy. But the electron engine wasn't that bad, remembering that the game had few bugs, but these sandbox games will always have bugs, there was a Karen bug that made it impossible to proceed.
Why doesn't anyone try to remake it or try to port it to renpy?
This game is boring to make, plus the Patreon rules are getting more overwhelming, making devs no longer creative or making creativity difficult. DS's intention was perhaps to make Kate a prostitute, you can see this in several events, for example she starts working at the hotel, she is raped by Neil (yes she was kind of forced) I think that content broke the immersion of things a little, because Kate wasn't ready to have her ass fucked, so there was no way she could refuse and Neil started penetrating her. I get why they didn't use Renpy, but I still hope there could be remake on it.
Even if the game isn't complete, there is a LOT of content already and it deserves to be extended. I usually hear that "Another BB remake, please kill me...". But there's a reason to that. Those are amongst the greatest games ever. Period.
Glamour is with Milfy City the AAA games of the kind.
For non Windows users, another engine then Renpy is unplayable. But I also hear that their engines download data from the users PC. So for more platform compatibility, security features, and remake projects, going to renpy should be a great thing.
Since all the visual assets are available, it would be an hard but rewarding project to trasnfer it in renpy.

Seeing as in the beginning all saves were stored on his server instead of player computers and required a patreon account, that's a silly thing to say. It could only have become an issue from 0.9 onward when the first "offline version" was released. Which boosted his patron numbers and money, and only after almost a year since they'd stopped work on BB.
Also, the two-month disparity between the online and offline versions ceased to be an issue after the change from Unity... Which was literally one update after the version that was dedicated to bugfixing and nothing else. Funnily enough, the bugs that were fixed in that version, were no longer fixed after the engine change a month later!

- It would be very difficult to understand the code and how everything works.
- Nobody will do it for free, and nobody will pay for it either.
So forget about RenPy version of this game. There is of course fan game about Kate, but there is not a port.

My text is long but I wanted to summarize everything that happens, yes, the first versions of Glamour were Unity and the game was different, then it started to change. You had to connect to their servers if I'm not mistaken and log into a Patreon account, the game was completely online after update 0.9 it started to change. Logically, it is notable that BB was so successful because of the incest, in that year, there were few games that had good graphics to be played. I have experience with the Genesis 9 and I can tell you this, I don't see many games with G9 models anyway, After BB, other games began to appear and BB began to be forgotten, games that had better graphics and also animations, you see Milfy City for example, one of the first games that used animations, the developer was more present at the beginning and the success was so great that soon after he began to disappear from time to time, I need to tell you that reading comments from the public is tiring, it depends on the comment, most of the time it's non-constructive criticism like "Is the girl going to fuck a black guy? Put this in" there will always be comments like that, without any sense.
Leaving this subject aside, today you see developers who have a large team, look at the case of FreshWoman, they have a team of 27 people and they work in a rented office with 27 computers, it's no wonder they make great motion animation, so most people don't understand, they see that game and think any developer can do it, GPUs are expensive, not all of them can do animations, it takes time if you use an average GPU, if you use a weak GPU you will do "Bad Bobby Saga" style animations that even if they are bad take a long time to do, each animation takes around 52 to 222 frames, depending on the animation and each frame is X minutes or hours.
Anyway, to wrap it up, I remember that when Glamour came out, some people already labeled the game as "outdated" because the game didn't have animations, other people complained that the game didn't have music or any sound, people also don't know that games need to be careful with copyright, that if for example you sell your game on itch.io you will have to remove melodies that contain copyright, of course DS and his team could create their own melodies, there are many music software and even in the latest updates he made a poll saying he would put them in but everyone already knows the result, he gave up on the project and abandoned it.
