You need to wait after 23.00 o later and click on the couch. You will have the pill option plus the normal sleep option. Make sure the quest tracker tell you Kate wants to try again

Yeah, I tried. It didn't work.
Even with the quest saying, "Also, Zoe gave me the rest of the pill I took. I'm a bit worried about taking it again, but maybe I could do it at night when everyone's asleep?"

No, it works. You need to be at stage 6 but I don't know if you need all the bedroom and/or night time events.
Just keep walking in on Julia in the shower and join her.
