This game ain't for me then. No, it means other people have their own lives and you aren't the most important person.

You gave the answer right there buddy. You call it an interesting experience but won't support it before it moves to an offline version. While DRM may not be the answer, it will be an interesting experiment to watch how an experienced developer handles this.
As for me, I'll be waiting for an offline version before I can decide to financially back it.
And why should he show some gratitude if ppl like you blindly support him regardless of what he does? I stopped supporting him on BB with the 0.6 patch where by poll 3 times in a row ppl wanted content for Ann and he still blue balled everyone. If you want his gratitude or his trust then show him together with other patreons where the line is made that you better not cross. You gave the answer right there buddy. You call it an interesting experience but won't support it before it moves to an offline version.
Personally I do support it, still, but I want the DRM to go away.
Patreon, where the developer counts on our support is not the only way; he has the team and he has the money.
If he doesn't like the concept of Patreon and similar platforms, he can pull out of it, create a small gaming company, make a complete game within 6-7 months and start selling it as a game developer like those studios that make and sell Nukige. Or Sex and Glory etc.
When I donate money so that he can get paid as the project is being developed without any guarantee that it will finish etc, I want at least the developer to show some damn trust. We the patrons take all the risk here.
If the game doesn't make enough money, he can pull out and abandon it. Those other companies and sites that sell porn games put in the hours first and then they hope to get the money. If their game flops, they lose the hours and money invested.
We the patrons shield him from this risk. He should show some gratitude.
Thanks for putting out this roadmap! It reads like a lot of work while exploring new avenues in style and techniques. I must admit that I always admire you guys for trying something different, something against all odds! Though it's got to be a big business in the meanwhile. Lots of competitors were spring up like mushrooms and some of them were able to push the quality of adult games and novels up to a new level. Yes, I loved what you did in the past! Dialogues felt so fucking alive in BB but now? I don't know how to describe them better than as cold as ice! I do miss any facial expression. I don't want to read a booklet with some static background pictures. I want to get sucked into your story.Roadmap
We've decided to make our roadmap public so you can keep track of our development process and see what's already done, what we're working on and what's on our to do list.
Since we have several people on our team, some things are done in parallel. This means the roadmap is unordered list, we're not going to stress about checking things in this particular order.

This being an unordered list also means we can add stuff in any point of the list, be it in the middle of the list or right at the beginning. We also have some points in the back of our heads, but we're not planning to work on them in the immediate future. Adding a male playable character, for example.
P.S. points in bold are already finished
P.P.S. We're going to update this post as we go through the list.
I think he decided to cut corners on the rendering part and spend more time and money on the DRM system. A very bad decision. Patrons are won by quality and care for your work, not by forcing people to pay to play.I do miss any facial expression. I don't want to read a booklet with some static background pictures. I want to get sucked into your story.
He's probably already in trouble, is it minor or big, we'll see in the beginning of April. The patron numbers were increasing until the release of the first version, now he's losing patrons everyday again.Next update for him is big because if doesn't deliver than he could be in trouble.
The ppl he is losing Mr.Dots is gaining. The quality of Mr.Dots is sure not as good as DS but i think alot of ppl ignore that and enjoy a rather well written story then slightly better renders. He's probably already in trouble, is it minor or big, we'll see in the beginning of April. IMO these big detailed public posts' main intention are doing damage control rather than informing people or being transparent.
Well if he loses another 500 that means he lost half his patreons in general that would not only be a disaster it would mean ppl like Mr. Dots would gain those numbers while DS loses them. They dont just dissapear into nothingness. Money talks and if this becomes a reality it talks to him a very clear message. "Less complex and more content and faster" or lose even more money.Actually he's not losing more than a few patrons. It looks more like the end of the month fluctuaction. He might lose them with the new month but for now he's in a quite good shape for a game that's so early in development. Since he gained some new patrons with new version next month should say how many people will stay with him. I suspect he'll lose maybe even 500 and that will be it. Each version should bring more people and his position should be safe. It's really hard to compare renpy VN with unity sandbox as regardless of their actual results Glamour is endlessly more complex than Melody. Sandboxes are worth reviewing maybe after a year of development.
More complex doesn't mean he won't be able to create it. It just means that beginning will be much slower than in VN due to a lot of mechanics and choices. Logic says that it's always better to create something good rather than fast and easier. Losing half of his patrons isn't quite bad if you consider that he won't have anything playable for a couple of months. His playerbase is still much bigger than typical dev's and it has tostart growing at some point. Since it already started with first update I would say Glamour can easily achieve financial success in time. Ofc people won't be pleased with many things but he can change and improve them. Seriously, BB was in much worse condition at this point of development.Well if he loses another 500 that means he lost half his patreons in general that would not only be a disaster it would mean ppl like Mr. Dots would gain those numbers while DS loses them. And its this "endlessly more complex" that broke and still breaks even AAA Game Devs the neck as they simply made the game to big to ever accomplish it they way they wanted it to be. DS is no exception to this mistake many Game Devs to this day make.
If the first game was a sucess the next game needs to be bigger and better. Bigger becomes even more bigger to the point it became so big you are overwhelmed as a dev and cant finish it. You either run out of money or time or in the worst case both.
You can even check his patron site where many ppl are not pleased with either the new dialouge system as they find it boring or mostly the lack of content.
its just sad for me to see how he is castrating himself with his vision instead of starting slow and then build up he goes big from the start and it will if all goes well, wear him out even faster then BB ever could.
But having a more complex game with all the variables means more and bigger problems when something goes wrong. it can be pulled off not saying it can't be but you won't have anything interesting or playable maybe until 0.9 or 0.10 in my opinion but BB on the other hand you had something by 0.4 and I know the argument will be but Glamour is far more complex than BB but Glamour is no where near interesting as BB was and the 800 patreons that left would probably tell you that as wellMore complex doesn't mean he won't be able to create it. Its not an assumption if DS loses over 900 Patreons and Dots is gaining a similar amount in a short amount of time. I simply dont believe in such coincidences that they have nothing to do with each other.I love the assumption that we'll jump from DS to Dots.
As much as some people may like Melody there is a character model there bordering ********** and I won't be risking downloading that again.
The only places my money is going is Ptolemy, Veqvil and Philly if not here.
Then again I pulled out of BB quite a long time ago, it's this that's making me think of backing again.
