Would it be safe to just upgrade to Win10 without HW changes or would I still need to kick myself in the nards?
I have my hardware set up the way I currently want but at some point I'll probably upgrade to an Octa-Core and an RTX card.

No idea. With how much of a grind fest they've made this on purpose, I'd say you're probably kicking yourself in the nads again. though if the hardware identifiers don't change, maybe you'll be ok.

1.) Do you have the offline version? Check for C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\LocalLow\Sandlust Games Ltd\glamour saves go there, make sure nothings stopping your saves to that location.

2.) fix has been posted twice in the last 2 pages.

6 months is too little-only 2 updates.
After 3 updates for Max we even don't have all content from BB 0.2
Better try after 6 months for Kate and 2 years for Max.

None of the above steps worked, so I deleted the game folder, the firewall exception, and the SandLust folder in AppData. Then unzipped the game again and started it. Worked fine.

Yes... There's no "The" main character. There's two, with largely separate stories.

DS decided to throw a remake of BB into his remake of Glamour from 2016.

I tried blocking it in the firewall, but that does nothing. The game still keeps loading forever. I've disabled all adapters that enable an internet connection

Can you show us the log file at the moment when the game is launched and looks like it's stuck.

Yep, still not working. In fact, I have no clue how other players are talking about it like it is working. All I've been hearing is "enable it through firewall" or "disable it through firewall" without really pointing out how...

I believe there's no point in messing with firewall. It looks like the game has no error handling. If it has to download something it should be able to do it. If it can't, it just silently crashes.
