Sadly, but no. This problem appeared from the moment these events were introduced into the game and has not yet been fixed.
The best way to complete all the events is to save the game before Nick arrives at around 18:55 and load from there if it did not work out to catch the desired situation in the morning or at night.

Should I save at 18:55. the very first time I see Nick or every day before 18:55 when I can see Nick? Because during step1 no problem and at step3 Nick disappears.
