looking at the comments on patreon, some patrons are starting to get unhappy whith the impending end of the month and payment and the lack of news or answer from DS since jul 12.

Agree, but unless it's super bad and his crew don't know about it, it's not a reason to go blackout. If he had it or if his crew wasn't aware of anything, they would prbably say something at least on discord.

True. Either give an update or reimburse your patrons this months fee. or both.
its not clearly stated that an update should come out every month tho. But without any news or transparency i would cut off my support right before it renews, yes.

We can't keep breaking records with every update, but at least we can more or less keep up with our schedule and update Glamour every month for over three years. We've managed to release an update this month too, even if at the very end of it.
While 0.39 might not break our record, it's pretty close to 0.38, both when it comes to the total amount of images, and events.
Now here are the events we've added in 0.39:
New pool events when Ann and Lisa are sunbathing nearby. Alice will come up to Kate and offer to have some fun.
In the evenings, when no one is watching TV, Alice will offer to watch something.
Kate can now do yoga with Ann.
Playing as Max, you're seen a series of events during Alice's show. Now these events exist from Kate's perspective. This whole series of events only took us one day to implement from Kate's perspective, by the way.
Kate can give Ann massages in the evenings.
In all of these events, Kate will have a choice between encouraging or punishing Max's behavior. Once Max's authority goes up or down enough, it will unlock new punishment events. You won't get locked in your initial choice, at any point you can change your mind and influence Max's authority in the other way to trigger events you haven't seen.
You can check Max's authority parameter in the Villa quest, which will also track progress with every series of events of this update.
If Max unlocks the right to punish others
And this is what happens if he gets reprimanded all the time
This update is more technically complicated than our usual linear progress. There's still only one story/one save file, but there's also a new authority mechanic. If you like it, we might add similar things in future updates.
0.40 will be focused on Max, and if you want, we can add a similar mechanic into Max's game. Since this is a relatively new mechanic, we had to wait until 0.39 is released so you can try it out before we can start the poll about it, so we haven't had the poll for the focus of 0.40 yet.
We spent a lot of effort on this update and we hope you like it.

I hope people like this. This update is based on a suggestion I made to DS which was based on several conversations I have had with various people on this thread. If DS implements (ed) it right it could be a step toward solving or at least alleviating some of the complaints people have with max being in Kate's story and give them a way to take revenge on him if they are so inclined.
The fact that we get to make Kate into some sort of "proto-Eric" regarding Max and punishments by influencing Ann... Fucking glorious!
I'm glad you like it. I think it was you who I talked to about this very thing. I told you that I imagined the end goal of the Villa in Kate's story was for her to have a house of personal sex slaves and that is one of the things I suggested to him.
