I had started a complete new game with 0.38 as Kate and ran into the same bug with the neverending repeat of the Karen-Kate-Sophie conversation about the phone images.

-> Maybe one of the patrons could inform DS that this bug is still present.

I applied the fix linked in an older post and it fixed the repeat-problem, but I never got the suggested followup scene where Kate talks with Karen about Sophie's interest in BDSM. The Sophie quest is still open and I can repeat the event in Karen's class where both girls are spanked and later Sophie licks Kate in the hall endlessly without a change.

I "finished" my first game with Glamour 0.38 and Kate route. I really like the Kate cgs. The quality of the game (graphics, performance, bugs) is fine and some of the early dialogs are surprisingly good but writing lost most of its charme with the late game content.

Still I wonder how much I missed.

Now it's time to talk about Glamour. More specifically, game locations. The game is going to have a city map with key locations: your home, college, shops, NPC's houses and other locations. Some of them are going to be unlocked only after Kate learns about them. You'll be able to open city map from certain locations, like your house's hall.

We're going to regularly add new locations to the game. First version will only have main character's house so you can see the interface, interaction with objects and have some idea about Glamour's gameplay. Then we will add shops and the college. Then we'll start adding new locations: public beach, nudist beach, sister's fitness club, beauty salon, cafe, restaurant, sauna, night club, other character's houses and many other locations.

Main character is going to live in a house with six locations: hall, living room, Julia's room, bathroom, backyard and the basement. You'll be able to make changes to some rooms. While the game has a lot of content and great cgs and some nice dialogs it still feels like work-in-progress in regard to 2018 plans and in many scenes, e.g. during college class. A lot of content is suggested in scenes but missing (Kate-Veronica-relationship, Kate-Alice-punishments at home, Kate-Sophie-punishments at home, Kate "submits" to Julia, ...)

I was surprised by the (rushed and cheap) conclusion of the "Investigation" main questline. It is unusual to finish the main quest and reveal the main mystery in a work-in-progress-game unless the devs want to reach a point where they can dump the game anytime and can say the main story is finished. (I hope they don't dump Kate ...)

Most of the late game Karen/Nicolas-content seemed chaotic and rushed or just cheap. Changing the spanking/paddling punishments to punishments where Kate is forced to suck cock/strap-on and is fucked by Andrew and others as punishment is the point where writing went downhill for me. I don't mind spanking punishments but I really don't like punishment fuckings and I would classify them as rape. The DS should have focused on Kate's story and not created a male's story (It was just about continuing to support Big Brother instead of abandoning it). This made him waste time besides leaving the game in a vacuum, as I mentioned, many places have not yet been built or are without any interaction and it will take years for any progress to be made. Everything in the game seems to be boring for me to play, Kate earning money and the player cannot use it to buy objects or other things, like clothes and etc. Most of the game is the player having to pass the time or go to the right time for the event to be triggered, an extremely boring grind, without an animation and without an SFX sound of some sexy moan. I honestly gave up on Kate's story and completed this last update in Max's way, I have to say I wasn't too pleased to have played it as I wish there were more interactions, something similar to the abandoned game. I like how things were going in the abandoned version, if DS did something similar but with more interactions, the girls changed their clothes as the story progressed until they started walking around the house naked (final content), it would be more interesting to me.

In the beginning of the story Kate is a smart, sexy but shy girl in need of money. It is sad how DS changed the course of the game by making Kate fall for Max and engage in a sexual relation with him. I would understand if this Kate/Max sex episode would be an optional fan service, but making it mandatory removes a lot of freedom from the game and from building different Kate characters by choices in the game.

Meh, when the MC is a female, most will just try to make her get fucked by just about everything... Unless there's a superbly written story, it's a porn game, and most of us will be in for the sex scenes. Considering the story in Big Brother/Glamour, with no offense meant, and how nice the renders are, most of us will be turning her into a cumdumpster anyway.

Personally, I was hoping this would be a new updated version of big brother on the male side, with more and deeper story/animations/interactions from both Max and Eric. As much as we hate Eric, he was a pretty good antagonist, and I don't even like NTR...

The only plus side on glamour, is the quest log which actually tells you pretty much what you need to do, which has one drawback... You just go "there", and skip time non stop. There's virtually no gameplay anymore

I meant Big Brother in abandoned game, not Glamour 2016, sorry. I don't see much of a problem with Kate having a sexual relationship with Max, but that it was forced, it was. But as you said, he changed the whole trajectory of Kate's story and I don't see any more fun in playing that.

Thanks for this info. I had just gotten to the ridiculous massage scene with Max and was looking for a way to skip it. Now I see that what started as a decently promising game isn't worth playing. Why take such care to have a player driven lesbian path only to throw it away?

If you class the games on F95 by weighted rating, then check which ones are the highest on the votes/interests... The highest ones, aren't lesbian ones. Hell, the highest female protagonist games are cumdumpsters games. If you class them by amount of votes, they're even less prominant and even further down.

Sure, some people like that, but let's be direct, most people won't back much, if anything at all, on lesbian games. You've got to go quite far down to find gay &/or lesbian games, because not that many people are interested in that content.

In Glamour's case, the story or gameplay are hardly interesting enough (no offense) to generate interest for non lesbians. I'd sit through a lesbian only game, if the story was worth it, but so far this has never happened.

When you take that in consideration, if the devs wants to make actual money off their games, they either need to write something exceptional, or go with what the greatest amount of people are looking for in an adult game. Going back to the weighted or amount rating on F95, which is pretty much the only metric we have, lesbian games are not sought after much.

As it stands, Kate is boring for both sides of the playerbase. Way too many lesbian stuff for the straights, too dumb and uninteresting for just about everyone, and not enough max for the straights that wants to play him.

Eventually, the dev will probably need to make a decision on what he/she wants to do with the game, but it's virtually impossible to please everybody.

That's why you usually do different paths in a game. For example BaDIK has kind of 3 different "paths" with DIK, neutral and chick.

For Glamour Kate these could be lesbian, bi and straight path (and later also sub/dom paths). Usually you would make a query before starting development to see how many players are interested in the different paths. Those paths can share content, so the dev does not have to make 3 complete games. Bi and lesbian Kate would share most of the girls while straight and bi Kate would share most of the guys.

As a male player it is difficult to immerse a female mc if she fucks a lot of guys ... this feels just gay, so it is not for everybody. Playing a lesbian path with a sexy female mc instead allows to go for a lot of attractive girls without having a stupid male mc in the cgs which is a win ... a smart female mc like Kate has more options to solve conflicts by talking, seducing, offering sex, ...

Max / BB on the other side is a really 1-dimensional character who just tries to corrupt and get all the girls with his magic cock ... it is hard to imagine how to create different paths for him ... and every other male character in the game would be soon interpreted as a rival, so there are mostly or only female characters besides him.

I have the feeling that with increased focus on Max ( = a cock to fuck them all ) the writing for Kate became 1-dimensional, too. Kate is now close to " a slut to serve them all " with less options than before. She still can turn down secondary characters like Oscar, but to continue the main quests she has to serve Nicolas and Karen/Andrew without options.

Yes, it sounds like you have specific interests and do not want to venture outside of that domain.

As for the so called "straight cis male", it's the biggest bulk of the community. It's only natural that games catters more to that chunk, since it'll be by default, with a higher chance of funding and so on.
These are porn games, most of us will use them to get a bit turned on/fired up. Being put into non exciting/interesting situations, is pretty much counter to what we're playing these games for (futa/trans, gay/lesbians, etc.) Of course, those games should exists, but if you do a mix & match of things, even making them optional will usually break the excitement of the player, unless they're part of the tiny minority looking for that kind of content.

When Glamour included a male protagonist, it's only normal that people expect it to be playable and going toward what they were looking for.

As it stands, with the female side being boring for most straight men, and the male content being so low, the game should either refocus on Kate alone and remove the male protag entirely, or start working on it, a lot. If the dev wants to cater to both side, then he should actually do so
